Gordon Ramsay Insults Colombia And Sofia Vergara

After Sofia Vergara promised on the Tonight Show last night to run down Sunset Boulevard naked if she wins an Emmy Award she then got into an argument with Gordon Ramsay.

It all started innocently enough. Sofia, a native of Colombia brought out some of the national dessert, Dulce de Leche. She gave a spoonful to Jay and then to Gordon who ended up spitting his out after he called it fudge s**t. Sofia thought he was joking and playfully slapped at him. However, Gordon then took it another step and said she should take it back to f**king Colombia. At that point you could tell Sofia was pissed.

Way to insult the food of another country Gordon.

  3. He's higher than a kite. And I agree with Jax, why is this guy so popular?

  4. God only knows what Sofia would have said about English food if Gordon had fed her Spotted Dick or Toad In The Hole!

  5. I loathe him. Go away already.

  6. What a self righteous ass!

  7. Gordon Ramsay was a rude prick. He completely dominated her segment, was nonstop physically aggressive, and vile at every turn. Why is this fucker on my television?

  8. Fuuuuck!!! he messed with mi dulce de leche!? I bet he has never ever tried it with cheese or in an "oblea". Believe me, us Colombians take really serious our food.

  9. He did a similar thing in Australia, insulted a woman on television there. I don't know how he gets away with it, the media just behave as if it's funny. One day his wife will get fed up with it all and write a book about him, I hope. And yes, I agree, he's high.

  10. Dulce de leche is nasty, it's like someone accidentally dropped water onto a cake and still tried to feed it to people, blech

  11. I'm glad to see that both Sofia and Jay put him in his place.

  12. WTH?!?! Dulce de leche is great! Especially from Colombia. What a nasty guy.

  13. Rude, crude and past his sell by date - What's Gordon doing on The Tonight Show?

At least the woman and Jay didn't put up with his crap.

  14. Different strokes...
    I like Dulce de Leche.
Insulting it is like saying that Cannoli from
Italy sucks, or American pie is horrible. Even if you don't like it, you shouldn't insult it. There's stuff behind it. More than the food. It "ain't what you say, it's the way that you say it."

  15. He's a blowhard and a bit of a misogynist but on the other hand you could tell he thought she was really hot. For a moment there I thought he was going to hump her leg.

Personally I don't like dulce de leche but if I were served it by my host I would just smile and choke it down.

  16. Dude gets paid millions for spitting out food and then cursing about it on national TV, what did we expect? It's like getting mad at Gary Coleman (rest his soul) for saying, "Whatchoo talkin' bout Willis?" in an interview.

I do think he's a giant blowhard and I have never nor will I ever watch his show so what do I know.

  17. I don't know - I thought it was pretty darned funny!

  18. Not the man he was a few years ago. Was a good chef once and fun to watch when he did the first series of restaurant improvement shows in England. Since then he has become a total prick, his restaurants are tanking, his infidelities were exposed, and he went apeshit on an Australian interviewer for no reason whatsoever. Pretty sure that aside from being a shit, cocaine is at the root of this. I was a fan once. Would cross the street to see him now.

  19. I'm with Mango. I think in his twisted way he was actually trying to flirt with her. He's a rampant cheat but I admit I still watch his shows. I like them.

  20. "Hey! No toucheeeeeing!"

Loooove her! (said with her gorgeous Columbian accent) Modern Family is one of my favs & her pairing with Ed O'Neil is brilliant :)

Well said Lissette! "There's stuff behind it" :)

  21. He was also mocking and condescending about her son's name.

  22. Now that makes me smile!

  23. Dulce de leche is the best ice cream flavor in the world. What an idiot!

  24. i absolutely adore her - she is funny, sexy, gorgeous, and has a great personality. i would totally go gay for her!

  25. Ramsey is Ramsey.
He's managed to take an amazing managerial skill to new heights given that it's based originally on his fame as a soccer star turned chef. That's been parlayed into a global empire - all based on his personality as an asshole.
That being said, he's simply acting like anyone who watches or has watched any of his shows fully expects him to act.
That being said, I thoroughly enjoy me some Ramsey -

  26. LittleMiss -- I thought that was odd too until I learned his name is Manolo. I think he was asking in his own douchey way if her son was named for the shoe designer, which would be admittedly lame.

  27. Well, I think she & Jay definitely put him in his place. Sofia is fiesty! Love that accent. I would be more insulted at his teasing about her son's name (Really, GORDON??) than the Dulce de leche comments.

  28. even though i think Dulce DeLeche is disgusting, he was really rude! he is a mean black hearted person. and i'm sorry, but the british eat some pretty odd stuff, too!

    and WOW is she beautiful!

  29. I saw this last night and was in shock at how disgusting he was. I will go out of my way to avoid him.

He must have the smallest penis in the world to have an overcompensating ego that large.

  30. I loved 'this is MY intervieeeeew' in her sexy accent.

I totally thought it was funny and I loved that she rolled with it. I was shocked, however, when he slapped her ass/thigh. Watch it again. Seriously, he is 6 year old trying to flirt. Its so sad.

  31. Dulce de leche is delicious, and originally from Argentina, not Colombia, ehem.

  32. Miss, Gordon's wife is as nasty as he is, so don't feel sorry for her.

  33. I did read an interview with his wife where she said she'd call him at work and would hear him on the other end of the line berating his employees, and she'd say it sounded great and ask him to run home for a quickie.

Some women get off on being with that sort of men.

  34. I think he took it a bit far, but it was a prepackaged grocery item and he's a chef. I think he just has higher standards. Hand him a bowl of Chef Boyardee and tell him it's "Italian food" and I'm sure he'd have a similar reaction. In this case, maybe he'd actually like Dulce de Leche if it were made fresh with fresh ingredients.
