Sarah Palin A No Show At DWTS Because Of Fight With Bristol

All week, security had been tightened at Dancing With The Stars in preparation for Sarah Palin being in the audience. Everyone expected her to show up so when Sarah was a no show, it was a shock. Well, according to some people I spoke to, the reason Sarah was a no show was that Bristol and her mother had a huge blowout on Sunday so Sarah decided to blow off the performance of her daughter.

  1. Is it true that Bristol danced to "Mamma told Me not to Come"? (That's what another blog said this morning.)

  2. Sorry Enty. You got some bad info this time. ABSOLUTELY not true.

  3. Hell, thy name is a teenage daughter.

  5. caydian, can you tell us what you know?

  6. Caydian, details please!

Who is the other CDAN reader who has all the DWTS inside info? I forget her name...

  7. Look, it probably wasn't safe for her or there was another problem. She loves Bristol, and Bristol left Levi, and that's all mama could ask for. I'm backing the Palins on this one.

  8. Well, that seems odd - considering Sarah Palin posted a twitter pic of everyone watching the show in their home, and posted "Over-the-moon excited and happy for Bristol! Cheering her on @ DWTS party in the Palin living room."

Doesn't sound to me like a Mom pissed off at her daughter.

  9. LOL @ Patty. Isn't that the truth. I called my daughter the teenager from hell. She is currently the single mother of a 12 year old. I can hardly wait.

  11. I think Bristol will be on the show regardless of how many votes she gets just to keep the ratings up. Also they're probably saving Sarah's appearance for later on because SHE certainly will give them a ratings boost. I'd be surprised if she was scheduled to show up last night.

  12. @Susan & Kate...the info is out on Twitter. Sarah would not do anything to upstage her daughter on her opening night of dancing. The pics of her right before the competition show a radiant Bristol with her baby.

The worst dancers were Bolton, Hof & Cho. Was the Hof sober?

  13. Thanks, caydian. I don't do twitter, so I had no idea.

I feel bad that Bristol is surrounded by so much negative energy re: her Mom. I find it fascinating that one woman conjures up so much hatred.

  14. Well, just because she posted a pic and message for Bristol on Twitter, it doesn't mean they didn't have a huge fight. It would have attracted more attention if she didn't mention it on Twitter.

Public persona vs. private persona. The recent Vanity Fair article on the Palins was pretty insane.

And I'm done on that topic.

  15. Yup, she did dance to "Mama told me Not to come)". She wasn't too bad either, a little stiff and nervous but not as bad as I had epxected. I have never watched the show before but watched it this time for Margaret Cho. It really was too bad she and Louis did the whole comedy bit - it would have been better for them to do it "seriously" first to show that she actually can dance. I think they shot themselves in the foot with the falling down at the end and getting stuck in her wings, etc. I hope she gets to stay for at least another week though. Love her!

  16. It all may be true -- what teenage girl doesn't have a fight with her mother on a regular basis? and Palin herself is a master of the spin. That tweet about cheering Bristol on was a good idea -- sticks a pin in the baloon of the fight story.

and this contest - and the pro-life/chastity speaking engagements -- may be the only way Bristol gets any independence and gets to travel on her own.

The signal I'm getting that Bristol's agenda doesn't match her mom's and mom's handlers is the choice of song. And her costume. I mean, really, folks.

  17. Well, I definitely think Mom was expected to be there. During judges' comments Bruno asked whether her Mom was there, so he didn't even know for sure.

I was surprised the Hoff was soooo bad. I would have thought he'd have a little more rhythm. I think he was sober, but who knows? Jennifer was good, but damn she sure is riding the Patrick Swayze is dead train. Being a sports' fan I really liked both Kurt and Rick. I wish the Situation would go tonight, but that'd be the end of krazy Karina too and I'm not ready to see her go (yet).

  18. Bristol accomplished what in life?

    Who cares about this family.

  19. I can buy that Sarah did not want to upstage her or create a major hoopla about her being there.

  20. Not sure I believe it, either, but I do think the huge blowout will come when Bristol comes home with a little Situation in the oven.

  21. Why would Sarah show up now? It's not sweeps yet.

Lol, RJ. Now *that* will be a Situation!

  23. It seems odd that Bristol had NO members of her family in the audience. All of the other competitors had their families present.

  24. "I find it fascinating that one woman conjures up so much hatred."

She signed a budget bill for Wasilla that shifted the cost of rape kits from the police department to the victims. This was done while working with a police chief she chose after firing the previous one because he wouldn't go along with her policies. She only started paying for them again when it was mandated by the Alaska House. Forget her politics, that's enough for me right there.

  25. I'm disappointed in you ENTY. Why would you repeat garbage like this? Can't this girl just enjoy one experience without a bunch of assholes making shit up? I'm not even a fan of her mother but I think it's bizarre that it makes some people feel superior to be unkind to this kid.

  26. @Mooshki, et al: Check out palingates.blogspot.com if you really want to get pissed off. To quote them:
"...When Bristol appeared on Dancing with the Stars, it was further validation of the single teen mother lifestyle....Once the color red and the letter A stood for Adultery; now it stands for Abstinence. Only, Bristol's version is that not being abstinent has paid off, big time....having unprotected sex turned out very well for her. But here is the warning, kids: it was okay for Bristol but not for you."

Publicity whores tend to bring that out in people.

  28. Another quote: "I'm gonna have Briston Palin doing the fist pump!" (The Situation) At least get her name right!

  29. Why should she come on DWTS? Let her Dad or other siblings show up. Isn't Palin too important for DWTS? Wait...

  31. The story probably isn't true, but who cares? Karma. I am one of those who detests Palin and here's one of the many reasons why: she's a lying piece of sh*t.

She lied about President Obama during the McCain campaign - pretty much saying he 'pal'ed around with terrorists' which caused death threats against a good man, his wife and their two daughters to sky rocket. She lies and she is fully aware of what she is doing. I call people like that, 'evil'.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think that it is nice that she was given fame for being a slutty teenager (GREAT role model).

Now where do her values come from? Hmmm. Apples and trees come to mind. And what Madlyb said. I think that if Palin is pres or in any position of power (heck lookit, she was NOT good as a Gov of a Large (geographically) State and she Quit it - what will happen when she gets into trouble as pres -because it Shall Happen- will she turn tail then too just to go pose for Playboy or something equally vapid? Whatever.). She is not about doing something important with her power, it is merely the power of control and obtaining more power for Evil purposes disguised in the the name of Jeezuz. And this is precisely WHY the kid is on the TV show. Not for her kid, for mama to look like she is such a nice "human being" but she is Not.

I am watching for others but can't watch it happily now and hope she is off soon so I can enjoy it again.
