Teenager Pleads Guilty To Killing Mom

A 15 year old girl pleaded guilty yesterday to the first degree murder of her mom. Tylar Witt, who was 14 at the time of the murder, was upset at her mother for reading her diary. In the diary, Tylar admitted she had been having sex with her boyfriend who was 19 at the time. Tylar's mom had gone to the police and wanted the boyfriend charged with statutory rape.

Well, according to prosecutors, Tylar drugged her mom and then Tylar's boyfriend then stabbed the mom to death. In her plea, Tylar does not admit to stabbing her mom, just participating in the murder. As long as she testifies against her former boyfriend truthfully, she will only be sentenced to 15 years to life in jail.

This absolutely blows my mind. I would love to know how the two teens thought by murdering Tylar's mother that everything would go away. After committing the murder, the two teens dyed their hair and then fled to San Francisco where they were found after a couple of days.

  2. They are just two more pieces of trash that need to be lit up with a chemical cocktail. The world is better without them.

What reality do these children live in?

  3. Because they're children, that's why. Teenagers look like adults from a biological point of view, but their brains are undeveloped and - besides that -- affected by waves of hormones.

  5. I wonder what kind of drugs they were on when they committed this crime?

  6. The part that made me laugh was dying their hair.

  7. My little darling better not do that to me in 10 years!

  8. The poor mom---trying to protect this monster of a daughter from what could have happened to her, and instead she was murdered.
Could be she wasn't allowed to dye her hair at home either, which is why she did it after the murder.

  9. @not on my dollar: um clearly they had just smoked a huge bowl of weed. it makes you kill people, didnt you know that? have you never seen the documentary 'reefer madness?'

  10. She's pleading insanity now.

She must have had a horrific home life to be sexually active at 14, and capable of planning a murder.

America behind closed doors is getting to be terrifying.

  11. oh please. some of these kids are just monsters. they're fucking at 14 because they're out of control, have been all their lives, and when they hit adolescence, it gets 100X worse.

i just watched 'wicked attraction' the other night---same story, different people. girl wants to move in with BF, mom won't let her. BF stabs mom to death.

it's not even rare. but you simply CANNOT say these kids must have been abused. many of them are NOT abused. they're just undisciplined little shits who've been given way too much, are used to getting their way, and blow the fuck up when they don't.

  12. I'm kinda with nancer on this one. They must be total shit people, period, regardless of age.

If they have no more developed frontal lobe than THAT by age 14 then they're never developing one that will afford them enough sense of right or wrong, ever.

They need to be locked up for life.

    Next!

**they're just undisciplined little shits who've been given way too much, are used to getting their way, and blow the fuck up when they don't.**

solid gold. many of the problems with kids is that they are not disciplined.

  14. and i get very tired of this 'their brains aren't developed yet' bullshit too.
i simply don't buy that a 14 year old doesn't know it's wrong to kill their mother. text while driving? drink and drive? ok, i'll go with those and not appreciating the possible consequences. but it does NOT extend to murder and no shrink can make me believe that, no way no how.

  15. Sounds like the case that was in Calgary a few years ago. 12 year old meets up with 21 year old and they kill her little brother and parents.

  16. Ever read any Edgar Cayce? He talked about the future rise of a "soulless generation," and that's what we're looking at here.

  17. I live in the town where this happened. The mother was very well respected and absolutely at her wits end as to how to get through to Tylar. The boy had had problems of all sorts for years. What happened to her was a tragedy.

My mom read my diary when I was younger too? Guess what I did?
    Nothing.

They are both sick. Insane? No. Selfish, delusional and assholes? Yep!

  20. My Mother read my diary too. I was just drinking in those days. When I started having sex, I made up a coded language. Take that Mom.

  21. @sunnyside - YES! I did the same thing! I spelled "drunk" backwards once. What a freakin' genius I was.

  24. @RocketQueen - heehee, I know, right? I am constantly apologizing to my mom for what a dumbass I was. :)

  25. Ever read the book "Wisconsin Death Trip"? It's about the same stuff happening in rural Wisconsin in the 19th century. It happened then, it happened now, it happened everywhere. Nothing specific having to do with this generation.
