Can You Smell What The Rock Is Cooking?

Do I watch WWE? Umm, no, I don't. I used to though. I think there is a time in life when every kid watches wrestling. I watched a lot of wrestling before it became the extravaganza it is now. I went to matches and followed the stars. Then I met some of them and they were so roided out that it was kind of off putting. I remember one wrestler who is no longer alive and interviewing him for something and the entire time he was talking his foot was dragging back and forth like a bull and his face was one big zit. I kind of lost interest after that.

I know though that last night when The Rock announced he was going to return to wrestling for some matches that the people who do follow the sport must have spit out their beer, and probably had a recliner accident or two. Plus you can tell he still knows how to bring it. Great video.

  1. Beefy, buff guys are really not my thing and never have been - I prefer average build/lean. But the Rock seems to be an exception to my rule. SO ATTRACTIVE. Love him in films. He chews up the screen.

  4. Judging people based on their looks is something I would never do unless I had a few moments to spare. And so when I discovered that Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker were all going to be in new film, I said, "Is that necessary?" Love the Rock!

  7. Rock was smart to leave on good terms with Vince McMahon. According to Dwayne Vince even allowed Dwayne to use his wrestling name The Rock for free (first time ever). Unlike other pros who can't use their names becuase Vince owns them aka China.

  8. @timebob

    Vince is no dummy.

This is their biggest star ever outside of say, Hulk Hogan.

And I would argue he is even more mainstream successful than Hogan ever was in his prime.

Vince knows that anytime he uses "The Rock" - it's a plug for the WWE

  9. I myself have a tall skinny blond fetish, but Dwayne Johnson would definitely be an exception. HOT HOT HOT.
    Is he gay? I forget.

  10. LOL, Barton!

Libby, as a long time CDaN reader, you should already know the answer to that question. They're all gay. All of them. ;)

  11. I caught The Rock in a TV movie in which he played a pro ball player landed with a young daughter to watch. He was utterly charming. I don't know why he doesn't get cast in more movies.

  12. So many reasons I should probably NOT like him but he is such a charmer. Irresistible.

  14. The Rock is one of my two guilty pleasures. I overpaid on two tickets to see him live at an WWF event. He was AWEsome. Hee.

  15. RAWR. He can be in some bad movies, but I don't care. He can cook for me anytime.

Loved him in The Other Guys. I think he should do a movie with Samuel Jackson.

  17. He's a far better actor than I would have thought outside the ring. I really liked his work in "Be Cool."
