Rosie O'Donnell Says If You Hate Chris Brown You Are A Racist

Rosie O'Donnell has some outrageous things in her life and I understand she has a new talk show and needs some ratings and controversy brings ratings, but what she said about Chris Brown is stupid. Apparently she believes that anyone who hates Chris Brown is a racist.

She thinks Chris is held to a different standard because he is black. I cannot even tell you how much this enrages me. Seriously. I actually lost my appetite for a brief instant. So, let me get this straight. Rosie is saying that if someone is black and I am white I am not allowed to hate a guy if he beats the crap out of another black person? I can only hate white women beaters? Seriously? OK, Rosie, tell you what. How about if Chris Brown started dating one of your daughters and beat the ever loving crap out of her like he did to Rihanna, you are saying you would give him big hugs? You can't hate him, because you just said if you do you are a racist. This is the most asinine thing Rosie has ever said. I don't care if Chris is brown black white yellow or some kind of rainbow color that looks better in morning cereal. If you are a woman beater, I am going to hate you.

  2. I can't stand her. I try, but I just do not like her. I don't even think therapy or anger management could help her.

  3. She, and everyone else who cries this mantra when you disagree or dislike someone who is different (race, gender, gender preference, etc) needs to STFU. I don't like either one of them because they're idiots, period!

  4. RoRo should call RiRi and see what she has to say about it. Sometimes I think she says crazy crap just to get attention, but this is messed up.

  6. Fuck off, Rosie. I actually normally side with her in most of her beefs, but she is WAY off base with this one.

  8. She probably physically abuses her spouses, just like she does verbally abuse them.

My sentiments are exactly what all of you are saying. What an idiot!!

  10. ...Gives a FUCK what Rosie O thinks?

    You neither?

    'kay then, glad that's settled!

  11. Some people said the same thing in the comments here. To them, I respond, I hate frigging Mel Gibson even more than Chris Brown, and he's plenty white.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hah! Good one, Mooshki!

Also....compounding this issue (IMO) is the fact RiRi is out there telling the whole world how much she loves BDSM and rough sex and shit. I mean, way to stick up for herself, the dolt. (And NO, I am NOT blaming the victim here; I just think RiRi is a dolt).

  13. Rosie is a moron. Plain and simple, along with Chris Brown, Mel, and all the other idiots not worth listening to.

  14. "I don't care if Chris is brown black white yellow or some kind of rainbow color that looks better in morning cereal. If you are a woman beater, I am going to hate you."

Exactly Enty!!! Rosie is WAAAAAY off base on this one. WTF??

and I'm trying to hold my tongue here but Selenakyle... A punch in the face is a hell of a lot different then some rough sex. Believe me! Who cares what Ri likes in the bedroom?? She got the crap beaten out of her in a car!By a total douchebag!

  15. I agree, Stacey! Big difference. I kind of groaned when I read she said she likes a little slap and tickle between the sheets, because I knew some people would interpret it as if she gets off on being beaten. I like a little slap and tickle myself, but if a man ever touches me the way Chris Brown beat on RiRi, he better get a good lawyer.

  16. Rosie thinks Chris Brown haters are all racist....
Rosie's a racist for implying that all black people love Chris Brown!

    ReplyDelete
  17. OK, maybe I hate Mel Gibson more but only because he's older and should know better.

    ReplyDelete
  18. So you hate Mel Gibson because he's old? You ageist!

    ;)

  19. Oh Rosie...why???? Just when I thought it was time to forgive you for blindsiding Tom Selleck for his NRA support, you go and put both feet and your ass in your mouth.

Just so I've got it straight, it's ok to beat the crap out of women, but not kosher to own firearms? Wow, what colour is the sky in your world Rosie?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Exactly my point. I think she is a dolt for blaring out to the world her bedroom preferences. Undermines the whole "try to avoid domestic abuse" thing, IMO.

I myself like some spanking every now and then, too! That's secrest stuff between husband and wife, not tweeting it to the whole GD world. First, it makes her seem like a total slut. Second, there are obviously morons are out there who think the two issues are one and the same. Morons like CHRIS BROWN, for instance!

Pissed me the hell off when Rihanna would not stand up against domestic violence when it all occurred, anyway.

And look at all the FEMALES who stuck up for (and are STILL sticking up for) the asshole.

    Whatever, rant over.

    ReplyDelete
  21. *secret* not secrest (yeesh, shuddering at the thought of Seacrest-Out in my bedroom...ick nast!) ha ha haaaa

    ReplyDelete
  22. There should never be any secrests between a married couple! *L*

But I agree, this was an idiotic thing for Rosie to say. I bet you she'll cry "misquoted" within the next couple of days.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bullshit. Rosie's now gone SHEEN. As in full-of-herself-head-too-far-up-her-own-ass crazy.

Both her and Trump have officially recently gone insane.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm trying hard not to go there, but I can't help it - how hypocritical is it for a liberal like Rosie to claim racism, when she's defending a woman beater?! If we'd stop crying wolf - I mean racism - every GD second, we could step back and recognize that this isn't a race/color issue. It's a human rights issue (the right not to get beaten up).

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'll bet Rosie defends O.J. too.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It almost sounds like she's the racist for playing the racism card on this. Almost like how people who care about gay rights then get all inwardly skeeved out if they get hit on.

Maybe that doesn't make sense to anyone. But I know what I'm trying to say...

    ReplyDelete
  27. oh great...now i have to hate all the queers cuz Rosie and I are fucking DONE professionally.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I honestly think Rosie didn't go far enough! I mean, there are so many other minorities out there that need protection from the law and from other people's judgement. Perhaps everyone should be entitled to commit certain crimes?

Old? Drive drunk, no problem! Gay, sure, go head, steal money from your company! Deaf? You shouldn't be convicted of robberies!

  29. This commentary is taken WAY out of context and please listen to the commentary yourselves and then comment, Rosie has talked about this subject several times and at length and with callers.

I listened to it and her opinion was that he was vilified because he is black, nothing else was taken into consideration such as his upbringing, or the "yes" people around him, including the money guys etc., he did the punishment etc., whereas Charlie Sheen is out there making money, has alot of twitter followers, has been in serious and more trouble with the law etc., and he is put up on a pedastal. And yes, people talked about Mel Gibson too. It was a conversation that took place over a couple of days.

I love Enty but based on his/her comments he did not get the whole show, oh and never once did she condone his behaviour towards Rihanna not once.

  30. too much hating going on..i dont like what chris brown did but im not doing the HATE thing...can we forgive let's forgive Chris Brown and move on...no u r not a racist for hating chris brown for beating Rhianna but maybe u wont forgive him because he is a black male and that is racist....

    ReplyDelete
  31. No. I don't hate Chris Brown. Forgive? Hell no. He hasn't done a thing to deserve that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sis, Chris has a lot of supporters and followers on Twitter too. And Chris is making money and has somewhat of a hit album currently out.

And I've made plenty fun of Chalie Sheen too. I've even called his ridiculousness out to him - via his own twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @gr - we had this conversation about Chris Brown last week. No. There will be no forgiving Chris Brown anytime soon. Not while he's still acting like an asshole and trashing dressing rooms when he doesn't get his way.

@selenakyle - fair enough, I see your point on the 'not associating the two" bit, but why on EARTH does it make her sound like a slut? You and I both like a little play, too, so do we sound slutty if we tell people? I think it's a bit sexist to say she sounds slutty, frankly.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @ Nate F. So true that they are both making money and still have alot of followers/hanger ons?

For me (personally) he would have to do alot more for me to "forgive" him one of which would be to be respectful and yes sit up straight and answer the questions honestly to the interviewer Robin Roberts (which started this whole discussion on Rosie radio).

And I cringed over the Rihanna interview over her love of S & M, and why state that publically and why didn't she come out against violence against women? (It looks funny written so I hope it still makes sense).

    ReplyDelete
  35. I just think there is a huge difference between enjoying a little hanky panky and getting beaten up. They're two completely separate things and I really don't understand why she isn't supposed to talk about it, from that perspective. On the other hand, I do get tired of people talking about their sex lives. See Jada Pinkett-smith.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nate F, just so you know, Charlie Sheen doesn't post on his twitter, nor does he read it. That's all done by someone else.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Chick just sounds slutty to me. Looks slutty too. Hell, most of H-wood and the entertainment biz looks and sound slutty to me, plain and simple.

This is going a bit far, but FWIW JonBenet Ramsey looked slutty too. So do the whole Toddlers & Tiaras crowd and the racks of clothes they're selling for little girls in most stores.

Blatantly broadcasting overt sexuality to the whole world is, to me, a bit of a definition of slutty.

It's how RiRi makes her living, don't kid yourself. Seen the ass-hanging-out shorts photo recently? If we saw that outfit on a biker chick off the streets, damn straight we'd call that slutty-looking...it's no different to me.

    ReplyDelete
  38. @ Sis--thank you. I guess your sentiment is what I've been trying to convey from the beginning. Tells the world her sexual preferences but would not say one goddamn thing to speak up against DV.

I know it's not her JOB to speak out, but it sure would have helped many, many women and girls seeing as Chris Brown has a shitload of female followers thinking HE was the put-upon, poor, innocent, sweet thing in that whole mess.

Fuck both of them, I say.

    And fuck Rosie O too.

    ReplyDelete
  39. And this is why we in America can't have an adult conversation on race and how it plays a role in this country. If someone says that treatment of XYZ is because of race, people jump on the person and call them idiot without even thinking about the actual conversation topic. Post-racial country my ass.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah, that's why we gave Mel Gibson a pass on ... oh, wait a minute.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Mr. M, actually, I think a bunch of us are considering the actual conversation topic, we're just explaining why we think she's wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I hate Chris Brown because I am a human.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Okay, the fabric of Space-Time is starting to RIP over the STUPID that is this latest Rosie rant. basically if you are a Black Male, you blackness gets you a pass on domestic abuse.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes, I am racist for disliking DV tools who beat their girlfriend to a pulp. Or behave like a big bully toddler throwing a tantrum. I should love infantile celebrities regardless of whatever they do or whoever they beat up.
Rosie this is the most asinine thing you have ever said. What bubble do you live in? This is almost as bad as Whoopi saying Roman Polanski didn't commit "rape rape," or that Mel isn't such a bad guy because they are good friends.

    ReplyDelete
  45. THIS is the most asinine thing Rosie has said? No, it is just another of a LONG string of libelous, hateful, stupid, nonsensical, uneducated, white trash krap that has come out of her mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ugh. I loathe a Devil's fucking Advocate.

Plenty of white people are evil, and I know it. I can provide a litany of Evil Caucasian Dudes (it includes Manson, Hitler, Bundy, and Cheney, among many others). But the race card bullshit has GOT TO STOP. It's what led to O.J. playing a billion rounds of golf during the past couple of decades when his ass SHOULD have been sitting in prison back in '94.
