Mother TriesTo Sell 13 Year Old Daughter's Virginity

I guess this Salt Lake City woman found a new way to use Craigslist. Actually, no one is sure how this Salt Lake City mother set this whole thing up, but she would have followed through and sold her 13 year old daughter's virginity for $10,000 if her boyfriend had not been nosy and noticed a series of text messages on the woman's phone about the deal.

Here is what police know. The mother was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sex abuse and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Now, you might be asking yourself, why two charges? Well, that is because this gets a whole lot worse. Although the sex deal was not completed because she was arrested first, the woman did have the buyer meet her and her daughter at a Victoria's Secret and allowed the man to watch the daughter model lingerie for him. I know. How often do you think this kind of thing goes on and no one ever knows?

The mother also sent pictures of her daughter wearing lingerie to at least one other man. For her part, the daughter says she was willing to do it at first but has since changed her mind. No one has discovered who the other men are yet.

Involuntary child prostitution? Uh, that happens WAY TOO MUCH. Here, there, and everywhere.

Good thing we have so many current lawmakers who care about protecting women and their right to choose if they happen to be sexually violated.

    Oh. Wait...

  2. How often do you think it's the boyfriend that saves the day? Never. That girl got very lucky. What a vile creature the mother is.

  3. How did the people at Victoria Secrets not realize what they were doing? Maybe I read it wrong but if they were doing that at the store, you'd think someone would notice and stop them?

  4. ^Good question.

    This woman is absolutely despicable.

Thank God the boyfriend did something about this.

  5. Actually...the daughter isn't 13. She's 11 years old, according to the all the online news reports.

  7. Wow. I don't even know what to say to this. Parents are supposed to protect their children, and it is just so infuriating, and heartbreaking, when some don't.

  8. how can an 11 year old person be "willing" to do anything that they don't fully understand?
and how, at 11, can they fully understand losing their v card? or anything sexually.

I hope this woman gets sent to prison and everyone knows what she did to her daughter... in front of everyone who wishes that they could be with their children.

    =\

  9. agree Julie--Enty quoting from stories on internet here, but seriously they should all be ashamed of themselves for adding this kind of bullshit to the story. THE DAUGHTER COULD NOT CONSENT TO DO THIS EVER, UNDER ANY US LAWS!!

She is a child. A victim. She cannot "consent at first" & "change her mind."

TO SUM UP: CHILD VICTIMS OF ABUSE NEVER CONSENT TO THE ABUSE--Thankfully OUR LAWS DO NOT ALLOW FOR THAT!

    Grrr....

  11. Thank God above for the boyfriend stepping in and stopping this. I just want to bitch slap Momma into another state. I hope she is in jail a long damn time. And get this poor child some counseling right now.

  13. What is wrong with people's brains? The "Mother" did not take into consideration the long-term effects this would have on the little girl's self worth. And I say "little girl" because I do feel that's what she is. She would have grown up feeling like crap and constantly needing attention from men. Dirty, skeezy, horny men. And she would have provided it. Once you cross one line, it's easier to cross others. Society has been making "Jerry Springer" jokes for two decades now, but the sad, sad, tragic truth is, stuff like what you see on there does indeed happen.

Hopefully, this child wasn't damaged too badly and she can now grow up in better circumstances.

  16. Round of applause to the boyfriend. Thank goodness there was someone in that child's life looking out for her. Maybe his actions will be what she focuses on later in life so she feels worthy of real love and decent behaviour rather than her mother's disgusting, criminal, abusive behaviour that may cause her to feel she is only good for sex.
My husband and I couldn't have children, and the time I get really upset about it is when I read and hear stories like this and wonder why we couldn't and scum like this could.

  17. Ummm . . . can we bring back the guillotine as a form of punishment? Hopefully, her prison guards will let the other inmates know what she is in for. There will be a little prison justice.

  18. @crila16 everything I read online (ABC, CBS)said 13.

The ABC article also quoted that if the girl had been 14, the mother wouldn't have been able to be charged with a 1st degree felony, as she is charged now. What I'd like to know is why isn't she being charged with sex trafficking?
