The First Ronald McDonal Commercial vs Shania Falls And Goes Boom

Want to see what Ronald McDonald looked like almost 50 years ago?

Meanwhile, in a fall almost as good as Bret Michaels' smack to the head is Shania Twain at last night's CMT Awards show.

  1. Sorry, but I'm WAAAAY more excited about how Michael K just posted a clip on dlisted of a news anchor from my town dropping the f-bomb on air!!!

I had to share. But yes, Shania fell down, went boom, and it was pretty funny.

The KILLER one is Bret Michaels at the Tony's, though. *WHAM!*

  2. Are there still Ronald commercials anymore. Can't remember the last time I saw one.

There used to be Mayor McCheese, Hambugler, Grimace, those Fry Guys (or whatever they were called). I miss my youth!

I need to bookmark that McDonald's commercial to use as motivation. That creepy John Wayne Gacy-looking Ronald McDonald should scare me into speeding out of the drive-thru!

  5. they are slowly getting rid of the McDudes because nutritional dogooders think it entices kids too much.

f-ck parent your godamn kids and let the rest of the world make their own decisions.

having said that i've been McFree since August and feel fantastic. wanna lost 10lbs? stop eating fast food.

  7. Clowns were forever scary after reading Stephen King's book "It". Scared me for life. Willard Scott as Ronald McDonald is taking creepy to a new level. Shudder. Shania was a pro and got right back up.

  8. Why couldn't it have been Jennifer Lopez or Katy Perry that fell?

  9. Does this feel like a slow gossip day on CDAN to anyone else?

  10. Can anyone else recite the ingredients in a Big Mac on command from that old commercial? "Two all-beef patties, special sauce..."

  12. Agree with you, Jax - quitting fast food is a GOOD decision.

I still have it from time to time, and every time, it makes me feel like crap. There's a reason they call it junk food.

  13. yeah, but I'd kill for a Big mac & fries right now

  14. Isn't that Willard Scott from the Today show? Nice to see how his career has progressed.
Back in the 70's when I was growing up, Micky D's was far less processed. Most items taste awful now, but the fries still taste great.

  15. Willard Scott is creepy whether he wears the RMcD costume or not. Eww.

  16. Clowns scare me. I didn't eat at McDonalds for about 6 months after watching SuperSize me but you know sometimes you are stuck somewhere and there are no other options.

  17. I haven't eaten at Macdonald's for nearly 6 years - going vegetarian certainly helped. I sometimes get a veggie burger at Burger King - they have really good ones. Macdonald's doesn't even bother putting a veggie burger on the menu so they can suck it.

Here is the article if anyone is interested: http://www.omg-facts.com/view/Facts/14935

  21. I'm still convinced Shania Twain is MV from Enty's blind vice. Everything in the BV fits her to a T, except for the "american born" clue. That just may have been a clue to throw everyone off.

  22. BWAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Tee hee! Hee! (OK, Gonna take another gander at Shaninny.)

  23. @ crila15: Well she was North American born .... hmmmmmm!

  24. I just find it funny that she doesn't sing anymore. She claims she lost her voice due to all the emotional trauma that happened in her life, and that she has lost the ability and passion to write and sing. That's a bunch of BS if you ask me. She was also the only person who coached on an episode on American Idol, and didn't perform. Every other singer/musician performed. She hasn't put out an album in years....even before her husband cheated and left her. Everyone thought it was JLo, but JLo's speaking and singing voice are the same, plus she just put out a new album and has performed live on AI.
