Random Photos Part Three

I don't think it is disrespectful. I just think it is weird.
Anthony Bourdain filming in New York.
Bryan Cranston gets groped by Betsy Brandt.
He still looks a little freaked out as he poses with Aaron Paul.
Emma Roberts has quite the crowd while
Eva Mendes has fewer and
Frieda Pinto has no one.
Three guys, all at the same event. Who do you want as your date? Joshua Jackson?
Adrien Brody?
Or Clive Owen?

  1. First! I get Clive Owen.

  2. I agree...weird. And I think that Diana would look better than that.

What's with the skinny dress slacks on the guys? First Josh, now Josh. Wait, what?

    ReplyDelete
  3. darn it! Not first. Now I have to settle for ...... oh, never mind.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Clive FTW! That man is Zexy!

  5. @Patty -
I totally agree. There's no way Princess Di would have aged so badly. Making her look like that is just disrespectful.

    Clive or Joshua...

  7. The Diana cover is tacky and distasteful.

I love Diane Kruger's dress! So gorgeous!! I would pick her date (Joshua Jackson) over the other two, hands down. He seems like a good guy, very funny, not a cheater (I would hope) and there is something sexy about him. They've been together for a long time, I admire that =)

Clive Owen is not aging well. At all.

  8. I love Frieda.

Have I mentioned that before on here?

    Yes. Yes I Did.

  10. CLIVE OWEN HANDS DOWN. Brody reeks of douche and Jackson has never looked to me as if he eats vegetables - I secretly call him "grey face". Owen was my preference for Bond over Craig, too.

Anyone else seen the trailer yet for "Killer Elite" with Statham, DeNiro and Owen? I can't WAIT.

Those two pictures of Cranston one after another really cracked me up. He's side-eyeing the little missy that went too far on a carpet.

  11. re: Diana cover--I just think her head looks way too big for the body (out of proportion).

I would take either Josh or Clive. If Adrian ever finds some humility, I might take him then. He is good in Midnight in Paris--maybe it's a turning point.

  12. Di cover is uber weird.

    LOVE, Love, love Anthony Bourdain.

    Clive Owen <3

  13. I would actually choose Mr. Brody...
I watched a gossip show yesterday (broken foot -- I much prefer the blogs), and he drives an '85-'87 Dodge Conquest. It is the first car I e'er bought by myself... I loved that bugger!
Oh, AND he dropped his GF off at LAG!!! by hisself...

    ReplyDelete
  14. JOshua, all the way! I'd marry that guy. And he is fellow countryman.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Joshua. He might be able to give some details on what will happen in Fringe >:).

    ReplyDelete
  16. I got that Newsweek yesterday, it pissed me off.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh and I'd rather see Frieda than Eva or Emma, at least Frieda's proved she has talent.

    And Clive FTW.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can I pick "none of the above" for the guys? Maybe it's because I was a little older when Dawson's Creek was a hit, but I do not understand the panty-waving over Joshua Jackson.

  19. it bugs me that newsweek is playing the sensationalism card w/ that diana cover...and i think it's very much in poor taste.

idmind that adrian brody drives a hoopty, but that brooklyn hirpster pose has got to go.

  21. i'm embarrassed to even look at that newsweek cover. how pathetic. why can't they let the woman rest in peace without having to dredge her up into camp territory at every chance they can get. it is weird. and incredibly creepy. UGH!

    ReplyDelete
  22. That Princess Di cover is way creepy. They shrunk her head and put it on Leann Rimes' body it seems.

Seriously, they made her look like a G.I. Joe action figure.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Count me in for taking Clive any day of the week!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Joshua
Freida is just soooo beautiful!!! Stunning.

Princess Diana would NOT look that bad! Who are they kidding??? They made her look 65! Now Camilla on the other hand....

I am oddly attracted to Anthony Bourdain...

  25. The cover is trash. This has nothing to do with honoring Diana (which, let's be honest this is not a fucking honor) and everything to do with money. gross.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Clive.

The Diana cover is such a bad photoshop job. The Weekly World News did a better job with their Bat Boy and Alien-of-the-Week pics back in the 80s.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The cover? hated it the moment I saw it. just weird. like trying to age janis joplin, jimi hendrix, or marilyn monroe.

    ReplyDelete
  28. i think the magazine cover is creepy and offensive. she's DEAD, for christsake. leave her alone already!

Newsweek has gone beyond jumping the shark with that picture, esp. with Princess Diana HOLDING AN APPLE PHONE! Tina Brown should be fired for that, sheer ploy for money. I was born the same year as Diana, and I DO NOT LOOK LIKE THAT! and know she, who was always concious about her looks, WOULD NEVER LOOK LIKE THAT! Look at the Duchess' Mother! That is more in line what Diana would look like! Not Camilla -who looks every inch of 60 something. A TOTAL INSULT BY NEWSWEEK!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Newsweek jumped the biggest, gnarliest shark in the ocean with that cover.

I second everyone who said that Diana WOULD HAVE AGED MUCH BETTER, thankyouverymuch. She would have been FIFTY, not SEVENTY.

I am a gigantic Diana fan, so this really rankled me. They could have easily ran with one of the hundreds of gorgeous and iconic shots of her -- particularly that black and white Mario Testino one of her with her boys.

SO disrespectful. The woman's life was tragically truncated. Why not just concentrate on all the good work she did during her actual lifetime, rather than cheaply speculate what if, what if, what if, what if...

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL i didn't know that so many people would choose Clive.
hells yeah thats who I'd choose.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @bj -- LOL. We posted at the exact same time. We're of like minds when it comes to shark-jumping. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree the cover is creepy and sloppy photoshopping; I take comfort in the thought that it will still make Camilla jealous.

  34. Anonymous3:35 PM

and yes, the proportions are totally off, and the outfit gross. she, diana would NEVER LOOK LIKE THAT! When John Kennedy died in 1999, somewhere around Cape Cod where the Kennedy's summer, there was talk of putting up a statue of JFK and JFK jr.- but the drawings were of the Assassinated President putting his arm on the shoulder of HIS GROWN SON! It was voted/turned down because it was NOT historically correct- JFK jr was only 3 when his father died, not an adult and the whole concept was too weird, like this Tiny Brown Newsweek Cover!

    Clive.

I like Diane Kruger's dress but why is she wearing nylons in June with strappy sandals. And her dress is blue but I think the nylons are black. That's one of the worst fashion atrocities to commit. Joshua's shoes are stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The comments on the Newsweek web page are scathing.
I thought the article was interesting, the photos creepy and none of it belonged in Newsweek.

    ReplyDelete
  37. For Newsweek to do that puts them in the same realm as World of the News. Is Tina really that desperate?

    ReplyDelete
  38. (Clive)
As someone who lost a beyond beloved parent to a tragic death, and whose spouse never got to meet the most important person in my life, I was gutted when I saw that Newsweek article. Seriously, how is it not possible not to think how painful that cover would be to those two young men? Aside from the insulting portrayal of her looking like a hard-drinking, 70yo malnourished smoker, it's just a crass, hurtful, pointless "hypothetical," or blunder of epic, idiotic proportions. Newsweek?! Meet The Globe, and look up while doing so, asshats.

    ReplyDelete
  39. If I had to choose, I guess Clive. They're all a bit scrawny for me.

I love, love, love Eva's dress but I'd do different colors. In fact, I'm off to find a pattern so I can knock that dress off.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Add me to the chorus re: the Diana photoshop fuckery--I'm 2 weeks to the day younger than she would have been, and I assure you I don't look nearly that bad; neither do most of my friends around that age, either. That particular image just screams "rode hard & put up wet," which is neither accurate nor kind; I think it's safe to say William & Harry don't want to think of their mum as a rough old trout who's been cleaned up & had a fancy hat slapped on her head. Sheesh...

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't think the "What if they were still alive?" articles are distasteful. I just think they're still creative writing class fare. It's nothing more than speculation.

And I would take Adrien Brody.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Adrien. It's the nose and eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The cover is awful. I just KNOW that Diana would look 50x better than the old hag they put on it with Kate. No way. And you'd expect this from a tabloid, but not Newsweek. Oh..wait...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Brian Cranston is the best actor on tv right now. No doubt.

Clive Owen is hotter in real life waiting in line at Starbucks than in any movie or photo. Children of Men is in my top 5 movies of all time. Clive is in my top 1 stars you'd wanna meet in real life.

That doctored photo of Diana and Kate is totally weird.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The Newsweek cover is RIDICULOUS. If you are going to age enhance/Photoshop a picture at least make it less obvious than The Happy Dog. OT: I LOVE Kate's dress.

Anthony Bourdain has really grown on me. I didn't like his show at first.

JasonBlueEyes - You were there rooting for Frieda in spirit. :) She is STUNNING.

If those three are my options, I would go solo.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Clive! What a gorgeous man.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I might not exactly respect the choices Diana made in her private life (like never holding a real job or marrying the douchebag she did) but she hugged HIV-positive people at the time airline pilots demanded immediate removal of blankets their passengers used. And she almost single-handedly make the world aware of landmines and what they do to tens of thousands innocents every year.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Brody. I actually think Bourdain reeks of douche. What's up with that?

Somebody should be fired for that cover. Is that really the best they could do?

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Tatyana -- "I might not exactly respect the choices Diana made in her private life (like never holding a real job..."

Diana was a Kindergarten teacher in her youth. If that's not hard, selfless, unlucrative, REAL work, I'm not sure what is.

And keep in mind how young she was when she married Charles, and how many commitments she held while Princess of Wales. I'd say she had WAY more than just a full-time job for many, many years.

I also second all of you who think Diana would be immensely proud of her boys, and totally fond of her new Daughter-in-Law.

    I still miss her. :-(

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ice angel - Agree with everything you said!
And I LOVE Joshua's shoes! Hot!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Clive easily, since I'm actually aware of his existence.

The Di cover is wrong in SO many ways! First of all, WTF is it doing in a Newsweek? Cheap, cheesy and belittling to the masthead. Why is it such a bad photoshop job? Seriously? This the best they could do? And lastly, yeah, no way she'd look THAT old. She was only a few years older than me, and I don't look that old, and I smoke and don't have scads of cash to pay for salons, spas and beauty treatments. So, really, I'm not buying any of it. End of the line for Newsweek.

A coin toss between Clive and Adrien.

That Newsweek is 32 flavors of peculiar. I don't know if it's in bad taste or simply weird. :-/

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yes, the Newsweek cover was jarring, and Yes, Diana would have looked eons better than they depicted her...
BUT- while weird to see, I gotta say that it was sorta interesting ( in a sad way) to see her walking with Kate. For a second I almost forgot that she was long dead and it gave me a little window into what life would be like if she was still alive. And that second was sorta great and so I dont hate the pic as much as some of you do.

    Owen for the win!

  55. Anonymous1:02 PM

I used to sweat Adrian Brody but he looks EXACTLY like pictures of my now ex husbands deceased father ( who died when my ex was ten ) so its a little creepy now..seriously I wish I could post a picture..the similarity is uncanny..

oh but if I could pic one person to hang with for the day? Bourdain hands down. That guy knows how to party

    ReplyDelete
  56. None of you get Clive! I get Clive!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Joshua Jackson! Looks like I'm in the minority.

    ReplyDelete
  58. The only thing direspectful about the newsweek cover is that they made her look 60! Diana would have looked alot better than that. She would have maintained her elegant youthful appearance, IMO.
