ReplyDeleteDidn't watch the voice, but I did catch Blake Shelton's protege Dea singing, and really liked her voice. Of course, she also sang a Tom Petty song, so she pretty much won me over right there.
congratulations to my boyfriend Adam! i new Javier would win from the first time i heard him sing, he is amazing! i'm just glad it wasn't Vicki Martinez, all she did was screech!

ReplyDeleteI could not get into "Damages". the 1st show turned me off. What high power attorney is going to show up at a wedding to find the person who turned down a job? please. It was so ridiculous, I never watched again.

I love kathleen but why is she wearing an outfit that looks like surgical scrubs? A gorgeous woman who should be proud she isn't a size zero. C'mon Kathleen it doen't have to be tight or prissy coz I know that's not your style but please start to make a little more effort when you're getting photographed...because bigger girls are looking up to you.

ReplyDeleteBeverly just kind of bored me, to be honest. And I didn't care for Vicki's voice, either, but it's gotta be STAGGERING to have Stevie Nicks gaze at you, hold your hands, and talk to you if you're an aspiring singer. That picture made me a little teary. How incredible.
Gwyneth suffers from a common syndrome known as Noassatall, but she's got that looooong, willowy frame. I think she looks gorgeous. Love her or hate her, she'll always have that Grace Kelly Patrician vibe going for her.

And I LOVE Damages. Rose Byrne is incredible, and it's hard to beat Glenn Close when it comes to sheer acting talent. It really is a quality show.

ReplyDeleteI can't hate Gwyneth. Just can't. She's snobby and prissy and WASPy, but underneath all that seems to be a vibrant personality. I just wish she'd let it out more often. I enjoyed her on Glee.
ReplyDeleteAdam Levine picked the best group by far, so it's not surprising that someone mentored by him would win. Adam clearly knows a lot about music. I was impressed. Cee-Lo is an odd duck, but fun to watch and listen to. Blake was funny as heck! Christina was the only downer for me.
Can someone please revoke Ashton's passport and make him stay in Brazil? They can have 'im.

Christina Aguilera adjusting her boobage on live TV last night was hilarious. Real classy. I loved all of the duets, but not so much the original songs. I knew it'd be down to either Javier or Dea and I didn't mind which one took it. Blake seemed to be the most emotionally invested, it's too bad Christina had to constantly make it all about her. I look forward to next season.

ReplyDeleteTerrific review of Goopy movie about 15 years back in the Philadelphia Daily News said that she had a nude scene that had the audience yelling, "Less! Less!" Such a great line, I've remembered it all these years. She does not have a great or bangin' body. She is too thin with no features at all. Like Justin Beiber, but without the singing talent or Selena Gomez.
ReplyDeleteI knew about 8 notes into his very first song a few weeks ago that Javier was going to win, regardless who his mentor was. He had a major label deal a few years ago, he's got some pretty good songs/videos on youtube from back then, but it seems he didn't get much support from that label. So happy to see him get a second chance. I was brought to tears watching him sing with Stevie, you could clearly see how much it meant to him to be on stage with her. I loved that they only rehearsed twice and she basically directed him through the song. I'm getting choked up again just remembering it. Loved that Adam was so emotional about it all too. He's my dirty/sexy favorite, I'm convinced he's bi, which somehow makes him sexier.

I think Gwyneth looks absolutely perfect in that photo. I love the cold, WASPy look and she pulls it off better than most. What she looks like in that photo is my goal each and every morning when I do my hair and put on my make-up.
ReplyDeleteI was visiting my mom the other night and saw the first ten or so minutes of the voice. The contestants did Freedom/Faith. Wow, it was so awful, each one trying to outdo the other and one girl really couldn't sing. I've never seen people try so damn hard and suck at it.
It was just so horrible, I don't know how anyone can watch it. I saw the clip of the judges performing Under Pressure. I couldn't finish.
So is Ashton helping Demi get her one last final surgery in Brazil?

Her body does look fab in that pic tho- but the photoshop is DEF happeniing. I dont think she has that much of a curve in her waist- the chick really is too thin for her long frame and that type of curve doesnt go along with a 100lb flat asssed upeastside elitist piece of goop.
