National Enquirer Blind Item
WHICH iconic Oscar-winning actor/director may be suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer’s?
The star recently had a meltdown at a Hollywood restaurant when he couldn’t find his cell phone to call his wife.
Turns out he had accidentally tossed the cell into the men’s room toilet!
How sad..
ReplyDeleteNOMDB - None of my damn business.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of Warren Beatty as I read this. Very sad and also an item we shouldn't be gossiping about.
ReplyDeleteClint Eastwood?
ReplyDeleteYeah I am a huge gossip fanatic but when it comes to one's health that is a huge no-no in my book.
ReplyDeleteeastwood
ReplyDeleteEastwood was my first thought. He's certainly the right age for it.
ReplyDeleteClint Eastwood. Unfortunately noticed signs on his last Ellen appearance. Wish him and his family well.
ReplyDeleteI'll give Lainey Gossip this: she doesn't give sad smut much attention. The sad smut is just .... no fun to giggle about.
ReplyDelete1. newman or eastwood...either of which would break my heart. :(
ReplyDelete@ Pookie
ReplyDeleteNewman is dead.
Definitely not Eastwood. He's all there cognitively. Warren Beatty is possible.
ReplyDelete^omg, AP...how ya like my blonde moment! hee. #hangsheadinshame #needstopaycloserattn
ReplyDeleteJon Voight- there have been rumors about his capability to remember lines and a quick temper
ReplyDeleteWoody Allen?
ReplyDeleteThinking about it again, I'm not so sure this is even a sign of Alzheimer's. What if rather than tossing his phone into a toilet, it fell in without him realizing it? So then he goes to call his wife, can't find his phone and with the NOTW phone-hacking scandal, he starts to freak out that it's missing. That doesn't really seem too far-fetched or unreasonable to me.

ReplyDeleteAgree, Miranda. One of the things I like about Lainey. One. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm usually not inclined to take National Enqirer blinds seriously. I'm surprised Enty even reprints them here.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Enty already do this one? Is this another example of someone stealing Enty's blind?
ReplyDeleteMarty S.
ReplyDeleteEastwood or Beatty or maybe Voight, this maybe not a good idea for blinds, but if it happens to someone everybody nows then donations go up. When a common person dies of it maybe someone close will give $20. doesn't help that much with research but, the hundreds of thousands that are given when someone famous passes or lets everyone know what is going on help enormosly. It is sad but, true imanage how much comeing out and annoucing it would bring attention to it. I regret that the gossip hurts but, when it happens to someone you Love, the possiblity that someone else could help gives you some hope. People in this stars life that he knows and doesn't know are all ready questioning his behavior. I know from personel experience, it is hurtful and heartbreaking dieaase that rips your heart out. When people you don't know and those you do come to you with questions about your spouse's behavior it is beyond upsetting (word cann't even begin too). The thought that someone else could bring attention and money to help so maybe in the future other's won't have to go throught what we went throught. At the same time my husband was going thru the nontreatment (there are very few drugs for it), he was also being treated for Bone Cancer. Anyway my heart goes out to this person and his family.
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, I think it's Beatty.
ReplyDeleteDoubt it's Woody Allen, does that guy ever leave NYC other than to go on location (which is usually NYC or Europe)?
ReplyDeleteEarly onset Alzheimers is considered for people 65 and younger. Clint is in his 80s. Either the Enquirer worded this wrong, or it's not Clint. Though I'm not what the other options would be for Oscar winning actor/director.
ReplyDeleteThough I'm not *sure
ReplyDeleteI initially thought it was Clint but since the guy films about 2 movies a year I'd say no.
ReplyDeleteHow about Redford?
De Niro?
ReplyDeleteVoight, has been suffering for a few years now, this is someone else...
ReplyDelete@ Jamee It's not early onset-it's early stages. Alzheimer's is a very progressional disease....
ReplyDeleteWoody Allen's been in Rome for a while now, filming with Alex Baldwin, if that's any help.
ReplyDeleteRobert Redford :(
ReplyDeleteI want to know which staff member at the Enquirer is a medical doctor, and able to decipher that this incident is indicative of early stages of Alzheimer's! Everyone has a shit fit once in a while, for god's sake.
ReplyDeleteJust to be different, what about Tom Hanks? Signs of Alzheimer's can start appearing a lot sooner than most people realize.
ReplyDeleteold ;ady: I'm sorry but I don't read educational posts of that length when I peruse gossip.
ReplyDeleteIconic immediately made me think Ron Howard. Opie and Richie, not to even mention the movies he has directed.
ReplyDeleteIt's Eastwood.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Jerry Lewis? He's not well regarded in this country, but isn't he a demi-god as a director in France?
ReplyDeleteDepends on what they mean by early signs of Alzheimers? Meaning for a young age or incipient? I dont think that sounds exclusively like Alzheimers. I lose my shit every day, I have even said I wonder where my cell phone is while Im on it. I have NO signs of cognitive dysfunction. It's tremendous stress and ADD. I think this is probably about a very private person that doesnt go out very often so they are making the most out of it. And I agree, the phone probably fell into the toilet.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a bunch of shit from a crappy source. What a ridiculous conclusion to come to based on those events. And Eastwood, it would be ridiculous to say it was Alzheimers instead of normal forgetfulness or mild senility which, really? Gran Torino, another movie in the works... nope, not buying it.
ReplyDeleteWhat if the phone fell in the toilet and he didn't realize it? How is that considered alzheimers? That could happen to anyone at any age.
