Ellen And Her Haunted Houses
Last year Ellen sent one of her writers to a haunted house. It was great television. This year she sent the writer and the writer's mom to a haunted house. This is the most you will laugh this week. Unless of course you see a photo of me swimming in bacon fat.
My friends and I used to go to "haunted" farms and trails this time of year when I was a teenager. My dad was a very good sport about taking us and sometimes, if we were being extra chicken, he would even walk through with us. Imagine a teenage girl and her friends WANTING to have her dad around them. It was SOOOOO much fun back then. The haunted farms with trails were the best because a lot of old farms also have family cemeteries on them so you'd get to go through a real graveyard. I remember they were very scary.
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Mostly because I know I would have acted the exact same way...*L* My favourite spot was when she sort of held her mom up in front of her for portection...*L*
ReplyDeletePROTECTION. Geez.
ReplyDeleteMoms a really good sport..
ReplyDeleteMy personal favourite when the daughter yells: Take her!! Take her!! Take her!!
ReplyDelete"slide! slide! move! go! slide! slide!"
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
That was hilarious. I agree the best part was the "Take her" part, but then when mom stopped screaming and said "what is that?" Her facial expression was priceless.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Enty, I laughed so much my face hurts.
ReplyDeleteI've had an epiphany - I'm looking for work, and now I'm going to see if any of the haunted houses are hiring. Jumping out and frightening people all day! Why didn't I think of this before?
ReplyDeleteThat was so funny. "Slide! Slide! Move! Move! Go Go Go!"
ReplyDeleteI was a volunteer at a Haunted House while I was in college (late 80's). One year, I was Jason's victim, and another time I was a fortune teller who foretold a pretty bad future.
ReplyDeleteI hated it, both years.
i just emailed this to erryone i know. love it!
ReplyDeletelolol
ReplyDeleteThat was great.
ReplyDeleteBut why are they dressed alike?
@selenakyle - The daughter frequently wears suits. She's a regular on Ellen, doing skits/bits like this.
ReplyDeleteAt my school, the seniors always did a haunted house at the Halloween festival and that is the ONLY way I'd want to be involved in one again. You could not pay me to go to one now.
