Charlize Theron Says She Is Happy Being Single

Charlize Theron is on the cover of December's Vogue. Inside she gives a fairly boring interview which I found kind of sad because I always expect her to finally open up and share some of the stories she has about Hollywood and I know that she has one of the greatest casting couch stories ever to be told about someone who tried to make a move on her who was super A list at the time and she shot him down and still got the part. Instead, we get little blurbs like I'm single for the first time in my life and I'm enjoying it and blah blah blah. She looks good though.

  1. She a beautiful woman, but I've always felt she was either bi or gay....I know she was with Stuart Townsend forever but....

  2. Single is fine. It's way better than being with someone you wish you weren't with.

  3. Spill on the casting couch story! I love happy endings like that :). I don't know her work well enough to even guess.

  4. I literally heard the sound of screeching tires in my head when I read the part about the casting couch.

Spill, Enty! Spill like the freaking Exxon Valdez!

  5. I don't know why these women never report those assholes? So they 'get on the couch' and in exchange get the part and don't mind if this kind of sexual harassment is going to happen to the next actress after them?
If I was an actress I wouldn't go to a casting without being wired.
Honestly, why is nobody doing something?

  8. I love Charlize, too. She does her own thing and does it well.

  9. She did a movie called North Country that wall all about sexual harrasment and changing laws to stop it.

You would think she would be brave enough to talk about what happend to her in her life to stop it. Versus I like being single, it's fun!

She lost a bit of my respect, here.

  10. I always thought she was beautiful but bland, boring with nothing interesting to say, like most stoners.

  11. Yeah, maybe she's six or eight inches taller than I am, but she can still marry me.

  12. She won't spill because she knows how to play the game. It is kind of selfish but you see it all the time in real life too. There's no advancement opportunities for women who make waves + you get labelled as a troublemaker.

  14. I hadn't even heard of this new movie she's in (Young Adult) until I got through a back log of Entertainment Weekly's from the last month. She pretty much said the same in the article/interview I read there.

Who's the Director?? :) I can't ever see her naming names.

  15. She is either not very smart or she got some real bad advice in her past. Posing for that animal extremists group PETA was proof. I lost all respect for her after that campaign.

  16. Good for her for not needing to have a man in her life at all times, unlike so many other celebs.

  17. Still got the part hey? Her A list directors before Monster's Ball were Robert Redford and Woody Allen.

Well, that kind of attitude will certainly get us nowhere.
It's not that she's the only one who got the 'couch treatment' and you can't tell me that actresses don't talk among each other about what they had to endure to get a job and the more women speak up the better for all of them.
Apart from that, Charlize is an Oscar winner and I guess that she's made enough money so far to live comfortably for the rest of her life without having to work. So what's there to lose? I can't understand it.
And if you're really getting shunned by people in the industry for speaking up against sexual harassment or even assault to the point that you're not able to get work anymore you should really ask yourself if you would want to work with those kinds of people to begin with.

  19. It doesn't have to be a director, many A list actors have casting approval.

  20. DAMN YOU, Enty!!!!! Why do you have to drop those bombs and walk away?

Someone get out the bribery bacon.
