Kurt Loder Thinks Michael Jackson Was A Child Molester
Yesterday Kurt Loder was interviewed on a radio program and was asked about his thoughts on Michael Jackson in the wake of the conviction of Conrad Murray. Kurt, who I remember so vividly still as the one who broke the news of Kurt Cobain's death said that although Michael was a great performer, he was also a child molester so that trumps everything else. When asked why he said that, Kurt pointed them at the trial but also says he knew of many secret payments to parents of victims and not just the ones which have been reported.
That will always be something that haunts the memory of Michael. If someone asks you what your first thought is when you hear the name Michael Jackson a lot of you are going to think child molester first and then something else for second.
KABC 7 in LA is just now reporting that Eddie Murphy has stepped out of hosting duties at the Oscars.
ReplyDeleteChild molester is absolutely how I think of Michael Jackson. That's why I am so disgusted that he has been sanctified and branded a victim since his demise.
ReplyDeleteThat happens when someone dies. Either they're elevated to angel status or they're completely vilified. In MJ's case, so many loved him even through the child molestation cases, so it's not surprising that he's been put on a pedestal.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kurt...you have a firm grasp of the obvious.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame, because I remember when Michael Jackson was the BIGGEST ENTERTAINER ON THE PLANET! I was so sad when he did that interview talking about how he let boys sleep in his bed. Even if they weren't having sex, it would be wrong. 40 year old men don't have pajama parties with little boys.
ReplyDeleteReally surprised Kurt said this. He was always so professional and tactful. I guess there is no such thing as an MTV news reporter anymore since they did away with that long ago so he doesnt have much to do now and just figured wtf, let's go for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Smoke... I practically grew up with his music and I totally think of him as a molester.
ReplyDeleteAND NOW HE COMES OUT AND SAYS THIS?!?! If he knew about secret payments when MJJ was alive, why didn't he come out and say something to help the victims out??
ReplyDeleteOh please this queen is so not relevant, I always cringe when I am reminded how much he used to kiss Madonna's ass on MTV, whenever she was on or mentioned, it was like he was her personal assistant.
Maybe he, Kurt Loder, was tired of all the people who put MJ on a pedestal, and simply gave his opinion but it sounds like he knows more.
ReplyDeleteI am curious about Conrad Murray's documentary that is coming out. I bet there will be alot of truth in that one too especially about MJ's family (not kids but parents, brothers, and sisters etc).
I loved loved LOVED him forever. I refused to believe the first accuser. When teh second came forward, I wiped my hands of MJ.
ReplyDeleteI still love his music, but yes, he was a molester.
I agree with all of you.
ReplyDeleteBut even on the off, off, off chance that "nothing" happened, once that Martin Bashir interview aired, with Michael discussing how he shared his bed with all these young boys, at the very least, CPS or the Sheriff's Department should have stepped in and put an immediate end to it.
No adult who is right in the head shares their bed with children. I think the fact that he discussed this openly shows that he had no awareness whatsoever.
Like Chris Rock said: "That's how much we love Michael. We love Michael so much. We let the first kid slide."
ReplyDeleteThat's what I've been saying for years! And am I the only person who noticed in that photo they took of MJ's bed that there is a creepy doll in there?!!?!?
ReplyDeleteI enraged me that RIGHT AFTER all the allegations against him stopped, he had these three poor children "made" and then, well, whaddya know, there are no more allegations. Just wait till Prince and Blanket are older. Bet they have some things to add!
Predator pedophiles do NOT stop until they are stopped.
I love his music, but I totally believe he was a child molester. Once the allegations came to light, I never thought of him the same way. I feel terrible for the children who were subjected to and thus paid off for their silence. Despicable and sad.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't stand how Kurt Loder kissed Madonna's ass either, his haughty attitude dropped the minute Madge was mentioned, it was pathetic.
ReplyDeleteThriller was my first ever record bought with my own money, and the MJ that released that is relegated to my memory. The post Thriller/Bad era MJ....I don't know who that guy is at all. But I guarantee I wouldn't let my kids near him, regardless of how much money he had or what fond memories I had of him as a performer.
All these people that knew this was going on and nothing? Or even worse took payouts? They're just about as bad as the abuser, no matter how they try to spin it.
He was tremendously talented, but I think his fame ate him alive. I'm sick to death of the respect and adoration that's been directed to him since his death- he was a perfect example of how pop culture makes exceptions for "stars". I agree completely that the Dr. who procured profenol, (I realize that's spelled wrong) was guilty and needs to have his license yanked, but I think M.J. was JUST as guilty of his own death, as well as all his minions and his family! "Mus'nt say no to the mealticket" was probably the rule. It makes me angry that his parents are being allowed to sue the Dr. in civil court; esp. Joe Jackson. He's nothing but an abusive leech, and there is NO friggin' way that the family wasn't aware of how drug dependent Michael was- but no help was insisted upon, just "get your ass back on tour and make some more money". Disgusting people, all of them.
ReplyDeleteI don't think of him that way anymore (Michael), I mean it's not the first thing that comes to my head. I think he was a pedophile, he probably had a lot of emotional issues as a direct result of his fame. When he died I remember thinking "good, now he can't do anything else to make himself look like worse" (as in actions, not the plastic surgery, but really, that too).
ReplyDeleteI don't remember Kurt being a suckup - was he really?
I loved MJ since Jackson 5 days. He was a child molester. I would not have let him anywhere near my son. Period. However since his death I have started listening to his music again.
ReplyDeleteI've read articles in the past about how Michael was abused at the hands of his father and at other men high up in the music industry. Michael probably never had a chance! Not only did he have body issues (ala plastic surgery), but he also probably never matured past that point where the abuse took place. Not to mention, isn't it common (although I'm not condoning) that victims of abuse become abusers?
ReplyDeleteI guess I should clarify that when I say abuse; I mean molestation.
I agree with KCQueen's comments.
ReplyDeleteDoes he have a book coming out or why is he talking about it now and why didn't he came forward with his knowledge during the trial? And what family is accepting money from their child's molester?
ReplyDeleteI believe that Michael behaved inappropriately in front of kids and must have been delusional to the point that he really thought he was one of the kids and thus had the feeling that his behavior towards them was totally normal, but I don't think that he had any sexual interest in them.
I also always wondered why the kids testifying against him were all in their teens when people always claimed that there were more and even younger kids. Why didn't they testify? I think that it's much easier to teach a teenager what to say in court than a little child. Makes me remember that balloon boy incident where the boy accidently told the truth in an interview that he was hiding in the attic all the time.
MJ was a pedophile. Doesn't excuse Dr. Murray, but he was still a pedophile. Too bad people can't remember this.
ReplyDeleteThe Martin Bashir interview with MJ sealed it for me, he was a molester and so out of touch with reality it was frightening. I couln't stop thinking about the freak factor for days after watching it.
ReplyDeleteMichael was definitely a child molester.
ReplyDeleteSurfer Said: "No adult who is right in the head shares their bed with children. I think the fact that he discussed this openly shows that he had no awareness whatsoever."
ReplyDeleteWell surfer? seems MJ was no where near right in the head now was he? Abused as a child, never allowed to have a childhood and thrown into the spotlight and adulthood.
All he ever was was a grown child. Thus is stupid antics and frivolous ways with money and his own life.
So yeah, my guess is he was no where near "right in the head". Not even close.
I agree with you, Mina. I'm not convinced MJ was a molester, and no matter how many things I've read to the contrary still haven't convinced me. And I absolutely believe he was the target of at least one false allegation because of who he was. I don't care to argue the point with anyone, just stating what I think.
ReplyDeleteLove that Loder said this. And ITA-as I posted the other day under the guilty verdict for Dr. Murray, MJ was a drug-addled pedophile who really doesn't deserve a better memory. I hope Loder writes an article about what he knows. It's time for people to come forward and the hero worship to end.
ReplyDelete"I believe that Michael behaved inappropriately in front of kids and must have been delusional to the point that he really thought he was one of the kids and thus had the feeling that his behavior towards them was totally normal, but I don't think that he had any sexual interest in them."
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this.
I think Kurt Loder is a stand up guy....I'd tend to trust his POV.
ReplyDeleteSad, MJ. It seems genius in one thing can really rob a person of humanity in the others...
I love Kurt Loder! I remember when he embarrassed that goofy toothed chick from Alaska (her name escapes me) about her misuse of certain words in her book of poetry! God that was so funny.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Kurt has good reasons for believing MJ was a child molester. There were a lot of payments made to other victims that did not get press.
As a child, "ABC" was my first record. And when I scratched it .. I piled pennies onto the arm of my little crappy record player in order to have the needle play through the scratch. Then as a tween and teenager "Off the Wall" and "Thriller" were just the pantheon of music in my young mind. I was a huge Michael Jackson fan.
ReplyDeleteBut ... sorry .. the man was wrong/messed up/deluded/addicted/wrongly interested in small boys. [My own personal opinion, given my belief he never had a normal relationship with a women - sorry Lisa Marie - is that he was just too identified with young boys. Whether that evolved into sexual relationships with them, I am not certain, but I would not be surprised to be presented with cold, hard facts that showed he did.]
He was important to me as a child, but the older and more weird he got .. the less and less I respected the man. I guess an older version of Michael's story would be what Judy Garland's fans went through. She was a young wonderful singer and actress and then she turned into a trainwreck. Fame and all the good it brings with brings just as much evil.
I think eventually [US, as opposed to there areas in the world - where he is loved and this is not an issue] generations apart from ours will figure out where Michael fits in the hierarchy of music and his epitaph will be written accordingly. But right now the majority of people who were alive to remember the drama .. we will think of him as sick prior to thinking of the star he once was.
[Jesus .. I wish I could pour this much thought into my own writing!! : / ]
My first thoughts on MJ:
ReplyDeletedrug-addled, child molesting, trainwreck. I can't even listen to his music without thinking CHILD MOLESTING PERV, before I change the radio station.
I still have my "Hooter" stuffed animal from seeing Captain EO. I loved his music so much. I'm not 100% certain, but lean more towards him being guilty.
ReplyDeleteI am almost as disgusted by the parents/people that took money from him as I am at the allegations.
I'm quite surprised at how lopsided this court of opinion is. I have a little "gift" that I like to call "molestdar"(TM) (similar to gaydar, which yes, I also have:) ). This molestdar has been proven right more times than I can count, both with people I know personally and with people I only know via the media or through another person. My own experiences as a child and then an adult, my years of work in crisis intervention and rape prevention, my scholarly expertise in gender, sex, and sex abuse--these things all come into play when the molestdar pings. But when it pings, it pings HARD. I don't just suspect it intellectually or emotionally--I actually *feel* it in my gut, causing a visceral reaction so strong that often I can't shake it for days. (And yes, I have reported a LOT of situations to the authorities, just in case you were concerned.)
ReplyDeleteMy point in all this? MJ never, ever, EVER pinged my molestdar. I'm not saying that it's not faulty or that I couldn't be wrong in this case, but I never got any kind of "vibe" from MJ that he was a predator, pervert, pedophile, etc. Did he cross boundaries? Big time, all the time (look no further than the Bashir interview). Did he cross inappropriate physical boundaries? Yes--boys + adult in one bed, even when the adult is just a grown child with no sense, is way wrong. Did he cross inappropriate sexual boundaries? I don't believe it. I'll never believe it unless someone who has incontrovertible proof (not someone like Kurt Loder or any other opportunist claiming they have knowledge of such behavior but NEVER did anything to report it or make it public) steps forward and proves it. The burden of proof is tough, as it is in so many trials, but MJ was never found guilty (I realize this puts him in the company of such losers as OJ and Casey Anthony, but the point still stands). I'm not saying the man's a saint, or that he wasn't fucked up beyond belief--what with the drugs, the family, the fame, the limited mental capacity, the drugs, the pain, the grandiose lifestyle, who wouldn't be? But I just don't, can't, and won't see him as a child molester. I know far too many of them, and he is/was completely different from every predator I've ever known.
And I still listen to "Thriller" and dance whenever I do the dishes. :)
Good points/post, blankprincess.

ReplyDeleteHere is my problem with your theory: misuse of boundaries can be considered molestation. I'm sorry, but it would freak me out if a forty year old man, who was not my relative, wanted to sleep in the same bed as me, and I was around eight. When you are in those developing ages, that can mess with your head. MJ came out and said he slept with kids.
Do I think MJ physically inappropriately touched children? No, but I think what he did psychologically and emotionally was just as bad.
MJ lived in his own fantasy world and just didn't get it. It had too much money to understand get away with it.
I believe he was sexually inappropriate with children, had the emotional maturity of a 10-year-old. He knew that his money could get him just about anything he wanted -- whether it was his own theme park, a hyperbaric chamber, out of trouble with irate parents, drugs, more plastic surgery than any doctor should have been allowed to perform -- and that people would do anything for him just to be close to him and his money (even when he didn't have much). I think his death is definitely as much his fault as the doctor who gave him the meds. If not him, it would have been another doctor. If no doctor would do it, he'd find some guy on the street corner who would. HOWEVER, when I hear some of the few songs of his I like, like "Thriller" or "Man in the Mirror" or "Beat It," I don't think about any of that. He did have talent. Except for "Say Say Say" and that other one he did with Paul McCartney. The most awful songs ever.
ReplyDeleteMJ didn't molest anyone. Whoever thinks he did is BRAINWASHED.
ReplyDeleteOK, just playing Devil's advocate here (b/c I completely believe he was a child molester)... But what if it was a grown women having sleep-overs with young girls? First thing in my mind is the scene in "13 Going on 30" where Jennifer Garner has a sleep-over with a bunch of young girls. It just doesn't stir up the same connotation as it does with a grown man and young boys.
ReplyDeleteI was pregnant with my daughter when MJ died and I always wonder how I will describe him when she is old enough to ask. Great talent, very troubled person
"If not him, it would have been another doctor. If no doctor would do it, he'd find some guy on the street corner who would."
ReplyDeleteYeah, and if the police busted the guy on the street corner, he'd be facing a lot more than 2 years of house arrest.
There are adults who saw MJ walking around with his penis hanging out, and peeing in front of groups of children. Molester or not, he was horribly inappropriate with the children.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of MJ & have been all my life. i will never believe the disgusting allegations. way to try to get a story line to sell your book, loder. everyone knows somebody that knows somebody that knows something. please. i never understand why certain facts of these 2 accusations are always left out.
ReplyDeletefirst accuser: evan chandlers dad's recording. There is a taped phone conversation between Evan Chandler (the alleged victim's father) and Dave Schwartz (the allged victim's stepfather) where Chandler says, "Everything's going according to a certain plan that isn't just mine... and if I go through with this, I win big time. There's no way I lose. I've checked that inside out. I will get everything I want, and they will be destroyed forever. June will lose [custody of the son]... and Michael's career will be over."
2nd accusers: the familys history of trying to extort people (chris tucker & george lopez.) also, accusing j.c penney security of molestation when her & her kids were caught shoplifting.
he was such an easy target and it's disgusting.

I dunno, why would seeing a man pee scar a bunch of boys?
Well said, blankprincess. I believe: inappropriate, yes. Molester with intent to do harm, no.
