Today's Blind Items
How about a nice easy one? This reality show couple have always been unique. They have stayed together when countless others have tired and failed at the same game. Why did this one couple have so much luck and success when others have failed? They made millions in the process and to date no one else has been able to match their luck. The reason? Prior to their "meeting," they had already been dating for over a year.
Trista & Ryan?
ReplyDeletegotta be trista and ryan right? they are like "the" reality couple who has ever really lasted.
ReplyDeleteagree
ReplyDeleteBethenney and Jason??
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY ENTY!
ReplyDeleteMUAH LOVE YA BIG GUY!
Is it Enty's bday???? HAPPY BDAY! How bout a reveal??
ReplyDeleteum............ how about rob and amber? weren't they both all stars when they met? maybe they had met at a function or something?
ReplyDeleteTrista and Ryan FTW.
ReplyDeleteTrista and Ryan. Definitely. That show is such a fake.
ReplyDeleteOooh, GREAT gossip about Trista & Ryan (I think it's them). How did they originally meet?
ReplyDeleteRob and Amber could easily have met a year prior to All Stars, since they were both former Survivor contestants and would run in those circles. However, what countless others have tried and failed at the same game? Survivor is not a game of relationships. However, I could totally see the early Bachelorette producers wanting to ensure success for their then young show, by asking Trista to provide the name of a guy or two.
Obv Trista and Ryan. Ugh I can't STAND THAT SHOW! Fakest show ever.
ReplyDeleteI think it's Rob and Amber, because of the inference of repeated success at reality games.
ReplyDeleteTori & Dean.
ReplyDeleteI thought Trista & Ryan, too. I don't see how this could be anyone else. While I like them together, this is just weird and manipulative on the part of ABC/The Bachelorette.
ReplyDeleteTrista & Ryan are a good guess, especially since so many other couples would apply to Bachelor/ette and not something like Survivor. Although I did think of Ethan Zahn and his girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteI remember that Trista or Jen got to help pick the tapes for her show but I'm leaning towards it being Jen. Was Trista's season really that long after the original Bachelor? The only thing throwing me off is the time and if she would really have a chance to meet him given he lived in Colorado.
I couldn't remember their names but yes, I also feel it's Trista & Ryan.
ReplyDeleteI like the tori and dean guess
ReplyDeleteI am not sure Trista and Ryan have made "millions" though.
ReplyDeleteI like Trista & Ryan but I think Amber & Rob have made more money.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Khloe Kardashian and her husband? They've made a lot of money.
ReplyDeleteNo...still think Ryan and Trista. What makes me think it's them is that no other couple on the Bachelor or Bachelorette has ever last...and in the blog, Enty says "countless others have tired and failed at the same game". It has to be a game focused on finding Love...and everyone but this couple has failed. Can't be Amber and Rob. Survivor is a show based on winning money...and there is always a winner at the end. Survivor isn't based on love with a human...only love for the money.
ReplyDeleteAlso, can't be the Kardashians...their show is based on stupidity, not love.
That would mean Trista and Ryan started dating right after the first Bachelor ended. How would they have met?
ReplyDeleteSure Amber and Rob have probably made more money, but would anyone be shocked to know that Survivor cooked up some "love at first site on the island". It was obvious they knew each other before All-Stars,and at least Lex knew they were dating.
ReplyDeleteSo gotta be Trista and Ryan. I actually watched that series and Trista pretty much had her mind made up from the first episode, so yeah, I could see them as an already coupled pair that the producers slotted in to make the fairy tale come true.
ETA, they probably did make millions from this. Their wedding paid them a million, not to mention various magazine covers and baby pictures etc.
ReplyDeleteAmber and Boston Rob, from Survivor and Amazing Race plus wedding pics. Good call.
ReplyDeleteOzzy and Sharon?
ReplyDeleteI think it's Rob and Amber. They've each won survivor right? As well as been on Amazing Race and a couple of other seasons of Survivor where Rob came close but lost.
ReplyDeleteI think the "when countless others have tried and failed at the same game" line is just a general reference to all of the failed reality show romances out there.
Giuliana DiPandi and Bill Rancic?
ReplyDeleteIf it is Ryan and Trista, then why haven't The Bachelor/Bachelorette producers tried this setup again? I think it's one of the Survivor couples, either Rob and Amber or Ethan and whatever her name is. Both were on Survivor and Amazing Race, and all four are Survivor winners.
ReplyDeleteTrista was the runner up in the first Bachelor. She was very upset because Andrew? misled her and slept with her and then he picked the other girl. Thus she became the first Bachelorette.
ReplyDeleteI vote for Ethan and his fiance from Survivor.
I think it is Rob and Amber. They were totally hosed on Amazing Race. I can't believe I know that.
ReplyDeleteWhat does totally hosed mean?
ReplyDeleteGotta be Trista and Ryan. Why would anyone care if someone else had met a year before? That makes no sense, it has to be a relationship reality show.
ALSO, kind of unrelated but are there any Househunters/Househunters International fans here? Just found out that that, too, is totally fake. The couple needs to have bought a house already (sometimes they have even lived in it for years) and then the crew comes in, takes them around and give them 500 bucks. How disappointing! (and yes I am naive)
@linnea - Really?? I know someone that appeared on that show! I need to get the scoop! The people on those shows drive me nuts!
ReplyDeleteI immediately though Trista/Ryan...BUT I'm trying to figure how they would have met? ABC spent over $3 mil on their wedding. Was the network IN on it??
Yeah, here it is
ReplyDeletehttp://hookedonhouses.net/2010/06/02/the-truth-about-house-hunters-on-hgtv/
And I had a friend that was on there, too... thats how I came to know about it
Yard Crashers is also fake. Couples send in tapes months in advance to get selected. The whole being picked at random in the hardware store is a sham.
ReplyDelete@linnea - Wow. I don't know why I'm surprised. I read awhile back that Storage Wars was fake, also...
ReplyDelete@renay83 - Argh! When I was renovating my last house, I spent an ENORMOUS time at home improvement stores, hoping I'd run into Ahmed. I should have been suspect though. They always had all these friends (like 10+) show up at the last minute to do yard work?
nooo not storage wars! :)
ReplyDeleteHeidi Montag and Spencer Pratt? LOL
ReplyDeleteHousehunters wouldn't make any sense if it was "real." I doubt they could find many people who would be willing to look at only three places. If it were real, you'd have a crapload of people saying "none of the above." I only looked at houses for one day when I was buying, and I saw 12 places.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I just always assumed they looked at MORE than three and then they narrowed it down - but I never thought they had actually bought one ahead of time...
ReplyDelete@MJ+Y=M: Every time I see your avatar, I try to flick that little bug off of my goddam monitor!

ReplyDeleteI wish Evan and his fiancee (Jenna?) the best of luck beating his recent cancer flare up. He's such a good guy and it really looked like he had it beat.
ReplyDeletePeople are praying for you.
What about Khloe and Lamar?
ReplyDeleteI don't care if House Hunters International is rigged or not. What's important is seeing the insides of houses in foreign places. Unlike most viewers, I get bored with all the beach front shows and prefer the far flung homes I've never seen before.
ReplyDeleteWho cares if the buyers are already in escrow on a place! I get to see 3 places that exhibit some of the quirks and aesthetics of living in Hanoi or Nairobi.
I bet most viewers don't care much either.
I just did a video edit with a guy who used to edit reality shows. They are COMPLETELY fake. He would get handed a ton of footage with an instruction to "make a story" out of it. He said he would have a screen of ten different reaction shots and would pick and choose to see what made the story more interesting. Things were improvised, but not real. They would tell two leads, "Okay, you will come in and say xyz, and then YOU will get upset about it and you'll have a fight." And then shoot it. So weird!
