BuzzFoto Blind Item

Which A list actor is thinking of splitting up with his non-celebrity wife because he resents that she doesn’t like watching sports as much he does?

  1. Matt Damon? Although I hope it's not him.

And what a stupid reason to break up.

Really? Someone is going to break their vows over that? The woman deserves someone better. Geez.

  9. Matty Damon...and let me tell you, I wouldn't doubt it for a minute. I grew up in Boston. My father has already threatened my life if I ever became a Yankee, Jets or Giants fan now that I'm living in NYC. Boston fans are hard core sports fans. "Wicked Hahd Coah." If you can't join em, you gotta leave em.

  10. Seems like he should use it as a chance to hang with the boys. He doesn't need to do things with her 24/7. Now if it's that she won't let him watch sports /- well, I'd consider that hard to overcome. A persons gotta have their sports watching time!

  11. WTF, lousy reason...If it's Matt he could find a slew of better ones..

  12. I could see Vince Vaughan for this. It seems he is at every Hawks home game. She's with him a lot of the time, but probably gets bored with it. Doesn't she have a baby at home to deal with now any way?

Seems a pretty shabby reason for divorce, in my eyes. You'd better hope the judge in your case is a sports fan and not a sports widow!

"Wicked Hahd Coah." That is hilarious!

  14. @Crilla- as a resident of Boston who married into becoming a Sox, Pats, Bruins, and Cs fan 7 years ago and has lived here for 11+, you are right, it is wicked intense. But Matt D and his wife have been together for a while; being a Boston sports fan is not an "addiction" you can hide, at all, for any period of time, because there are sports going on almost all year especially when your teams go to the playoffs a lot. Not just that, but I've been at Sox games where Damon and wife have been there, and unlike Ben Affleck/J. Garner or Chad Ochocinco/his skank-ass wife, they don't media whore it in Fenway and sit in the owners seats behind the home dugout. They sit in good seats no doubt but not the ones that are cordoned off and have a flat screen TV, and they are actually watching the game instead of looking bored or preening for when they're on TV. I certainly hope this is not MD.

IMO the only other US city with sports fans who are as die hard/b*tshit as Boston is Chicago. I'm going w Vince Vaughn. Although A list is a real stretch... and yes this is a dumb blind.

  15. Wouldn't you know this about the woman before you married her? BuzzFoto, please.

  16. My brother-in-law listens to sports when he's in the car and watches sports whenever he's at home. I have no idea how my sister puts up with it.

I prefer men who don't like sports, but I've also ended up with more than my share of closeted gay men.

  17. @Nutty_Flavor wrt your sister- it's an acquired skill called the tune out which is necessary for marriage, IMO. It sure helps when you're married to a crazy sports fanatic. It doesn't hurt I like sports too but I don't need to see or listen to them, or people talking about them, ALL THE TIME :)

  18. I refuse to believe Matt would be this petty.
    Vaughn seems a better guess.
We're both still Seahawks fans, and always watching and hoping.

My husband is VA. Tech., alum and That's where it gets bad. He watches their games the games of the teams they will play next, and any pro team that has a Tech player on it. Not just football, all their sports, even the women's teams.

I love him tho', so GO HOKIES!

  19. I used to be friends with someone who cited her husband's sports-watching as one of the reasons she wanted a divorce. Turned out the real reason was that she was an adulterous whore, not his fondness for the NBA.

  20. I am echoing the Vince Vaughn guess. That man loves his Windy City sports teams! Also, I like him (against most of my better judgment, lol), but he doesn't strike me as the marriage type. He likes women first and variety second. Neither of those bode well for a happy husband, and if this blind item is true, then sports is a convenient (albeit douchey) excuse.

  21. Yes .. Chicagoans are very much into their Bears, Sox, Blackhawks, Bulls and I think there is some other team there too?? Arena football maybe?? Broom Ball?? Oh yes .. baseball .. The Drubs or something? [South Side Irish REPRESENT!!!! LOL!] But I have heard tell that even Sox and Cubs fans have married. So - Vince - get over it, ya douche.

  22. I know someone who said he left his wife because she was a terrible housekeeper. It was really because hes an ass and didn't like that he had to share his wifes attention with their daughter.

  23. What a piece of shit. Sports?

  24. Not Matt Damon. Not my version, anyway!

    Sounds Vaughn-esque to me!

  26. My first thought was also Matt Damon. However, I have met him, and he seems too nice and family oriented-down to earth, to do that to his family.

I do know he's from Boston and they love their teams!!!

    Let's hope it's not Damon. Go Patriot's!!!!
