Love Colbert!!! Great news.
ReplyDeleteFor some unknown reason I have never liked his show (him). Glad to hear his mom is doing better though.
ReplyDeleteI think Colbert is a genius and that he should win the Pulitzer for his work around SuperPacs. If you watch what he's saying, it's so smart.
ReplyDeleteyay mom!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't he the baby out of something like 8 kids? Good on you, Stephen.
ReplyDelete@Elizabeth, you are so right! He is educating a lot of people (me included!) on Super Pacs. We'd be bored if it were presented in a straightforward, serious manner, but when it's so funny, it's easy to digest.
ReplyDeleteYay for Stephen's Mom--may she make it to 100+!
Stephen is the youngest of 11 kids. When he was 10, his father and two of his brothers, 13 & 14, died in a plane crash. Since the other siblings were older and had left home, Stephen went from growing up in a house full of people to being alone with his widowed mom. He has said it may be why he went into comedy---Because he was always trying to get his mom to smile.
ReplyDeleteHe is super close to his mom still, obviously.
I really like his show and John Stewarts, I'm glad he's back on and his mom is ok.
ReplyDeleteGreat news! Glad for him & his mom.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear his mom's much better, and good that he's back!
