NY Giants Player Proposes To Girlfriend After Game

Lost in all the celebrating by New York Giants players was the celebration of Greg Jones who stopped jumping up and down long enough to ask his girlfriend to marry him. You can tell this was probably a good time to ask her because who is going to say no to a Superbowl winner and if the Giants had lost who is going to crush a guy even more by saying no. Really, it is a perfect time if you are a player. The pair met three years ago but only started dating about 18 months ago. Where did he keep the ring during the game? Did he check on it frequently? You say, he probably got a trainer to watch it for him. Probably. But, did you see the bedlam after the game? Do you think they could miss each other with the rush of the crowd?

  1. I have to say, pretty cool. He must love her to pretty much give up "his day" to do that.

  4. THIS IS WAY OFF TOPIC, BUT:

While I am laid up after surgery and been channel-surfing all hours day and night, I stumbled on Greta Van Susteren interviewing Sarah Palin around 10:00pm the other night.....did anyone else see it and happen to notice that Palin looked like death warmed over?

She must either have lost a ton of weight or she is sick, because she looked horrible--bad color, bad lighting, SOMEthing was wrong.
(I am not a Palin fan, I just stumbled on it and couldn't stop watching because she looked so, so bad).

    Just wondering, thx!

  7. Selena, I haven't seen her in a long time.

I'll have to check with my Father, if anybody knows what Sarah looks like it's him.

  8. You should also post the picture of his mother's reaction to this proposal...priceless!

  10. Oh Enty, you are such a *guy*. Everyone knows a diamond has a homing device on it that will find The Girl any time, any place, in any crowd.

  11. LOL, weezy.

I think my homing device is on the fritz.

  12. Thanks, califblondy!

I searched all sorts of search terms online and nothing came up, but I couldn't have been the only one thinking she looked awful. Of course, she might not be able to afford hair and make-up people anymore...and the lighting could've been bad, plus she was wearing a gawd-awful color (pea green)... so it could've just been me in my laid-up percocet-induced but still not pain-free state...

  14. For some reason, I can not pull up the mOm's pic. Was she happy or mad? Lol

  15. Snowstorms, she's standing there with her arms crossed, looking on sullenly. Obviously not happy about the proceedings.

  16. I think it's very telling that he turned "His Day" into "Their Day"! I wish them nothing but happiness.

  20. I don't know if Enty reads the comments, but Jones had a practice squad buddy hold the ring for him during the game. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2012120206033

Aww, that's sweet. Not a Giants fan, but I still wanted them to beat the PAts, whom I LOATHE. What a sweet time to propose! I think my heart just grew three sizes.

  22. That's sweet, but my first thought was "I wonder how long it'll be until he cheats?" I don't know why anyone has a relationship with a pro sports player. Unless they're purely after the money/fame.

  23. ^Because we fell in love with them.

  24. Jamie is right, a practice squad buddy held the ring for him. I saw some black women around him who did not look to pleased but I did not know if they were related or not. This is a pretty nice gesture. Not the normally all-about-my-day attitude you normally see with the high profile people in the world. I really hope they make it. :)

  25. as a diehard redskins fan, the giants are a mortal enemy...but i was totally a fan on sunday (no way i was going to root for the Belicheaters)...and this move softened my heart just a little more (well that, and victor cruz' salsa dancing). so yay for this dude, and for the giants who made sure the lombardi stayed where it belonged: in the nfc. #beastoftheeast
