Bobbi Kristina Talks Suicide - Family Blames Oprah

Ever since Bobbi Kristina Brown was on Oprah she thinks she is a big star and has been acting out. According to The Enquirer who probably interviewed Cissy since she has no problems talking to anyone, the family blames Oprah for exploiting the situation for money and ratings for OWN and that Oprah's questions about spirits and her mom coming to her in dreams has made Bobbi start saying aloud that she wishes she would rather be dead than alive so she can be with her mother. This sounds to me like it is all part of the grief process and Bobbi has seemed pretty happy top me in the photos I have seen of her and her boyfriend/brother this week. I wonder if she would ever double date with Angelina Jolie and her boyfriend.

Is it just me, or is there NO resemblance between Bobbi Kristina and her mother? I mean, she didn't even get the height?

@cdanluva - yeah no offense but it's kinda just you... she's definitely Whitney's daughter she just looks a lot more like Bobby (unfortunately).

I mean ... if you're trying to suggest she's not Whitney's daughter I'd have to disagree but yeah a bit unlucky w/ the ol' genetics.

BK inherited her dad's face and height.

I love the video of TMZ with her and her brother-lover walking very slowly when they know paps are taking pictures. When they didn't realize they were there they walked faster.

She got a taste of fame without her mother and loves the attention.

She wants to be famous and will pull any stunt to keep her name in headlines seeing she didn't inherit her mother's voice either.

I'm sure she has Ryan's number on speedial trying to get a reality show off the ground.

You are talking about Brad, right Enty?

Is that a hint that Angie's relationship with her brother is/was not always platonic? I remember how gross their red carpet kiss was, but that was years ago. Is that still going on? Ew.

Um, yeah. If BK or her family can't accept responsibility for their own actions and have to blame an interviewer (with whom you consented to go on air with)...well, I think we know why Whitney wasn't able to kick those demons. I hope this is just normal grieving -- and I'm sure grieving while newly in the spotlight is much harder than regular grieving. However, someone needs to reel BK in and allow her some privacy from the spotlight. THAT - and not Oprah asking questions - is what is doing this girl no favors.

@timebob-right on, dude~!

cdanluva, it's not just you. Bobbi Kristina looks just like Bobby Brown. Poor thing.

I'm no fan of Oprah but to blame her for thoughts of suicide. Bitch, puhlease. This family seems really into pointing the finger at others rather than taking responsibility for one's own actions. Pathetic.

joymama said...

I was thinking the same thing, Seachica.

The family is blaming others for their dysfunction. Seems that Whitney could have used some help and support in her life and they turned their head.

If my child, and I don't care how old, if my child were doped up, strung out or hanging with a bunch of goons I would snatch her up so quick and take her to a cabin in the woods until she was detoxed and ready for help. I know, it's extreme and against the law and blah blah blah, but I would still do it.

I would say that she needs to be talented to stay in the limelight, but all she needs to do is get a reality show.

Well, to be fair, Whitney hit the jackpot as far as the looks/talent genes go, and I don't see anyone else in her family who even approached her youthful beauty (not even her mom when she was young).

What did they think Oprah wanted when she asked for the interview? Kind of Lohan-esque to blame others for their problems.

@Seachica, I love you for using "whom" properly. Been seeing a lot of misuse of the word "whomever" lately.

Who is actually talking to the rags from that family? Shame on anyone who is.

@timebob - "brother-lover" - you made me laugh/get creeped out with that phrase in equal portions!

And yeah, by mentioning Angelina's boyfriend, that would be her brother.

@cdanluva -- yeah, I'm with you. That girl looks nothing like her mother or, in fact, anyone on Whitney's side of the family. She's Bobby's kid, 100%. I'm not trying to insinuate that she's not Whitney's or anything, I'm just saying she doesn't seem to have inherited anything from her mom. Except her addictive personality. Although, to be fair, that could come from Bobby, too.

It was too soon for that girl to be interviewed on TV.

I understand everyone's comments about blaming behavior, but Oprah would have had great ratings even if she waited one more month.

She needs to heal, and talk to a therapist not the big O.

Did Oprah put a gun to Bobbi's head and force her to go on the show? Did Sissy and other Houston family members know that Bobbi was going to be on the show?

Bobbi is acting out, because she just lost her mother. The girl is in pain, and the fame and attention is only a temporary distraction. Stop blaming the Almighty Opes. In fact, stop blaming everyone for Whitney's End. She was responsible for her own demise, end of story.

BK clearly inherited EVERYTHING from BB. When they had that Whitney/Bobby reality show years ago, BK was FAT. Clearly she did not get that from Whitney's genes.

MyMamasChild said...

The dominant genes always wins. My sister married and had kids with a man with a huge gap between his front teeth. Both of my nieces inherited "the gap". Lets just cross our fingers for blue ivy, although beyonce has dominant genes too.

BK got Bobby's nose, which is her biggest issue. I see some of Whitney in her, but it's mixed in with Bobby's genes.

If the poor girl does herself in, Oprah had nothing to do with it. That horse has been out of the barn for a while.

I dont remember quite how this part went but in the book/movie Joy Luck Club, the mother of one of the daughters who had complications in her life, was voiceless, and involved in a a bad relationship...the mother said something to the extent of "My daughter cannot fly because I had no wings to give her"....

That's how I see Bobbi-Kristina. Whitney appeared to be just broken from decades long drug use and I think spending your whole life picking up the pieces of your mother probably left her with a harder task to be whole herself.

As someone who is the daughter of an alcoholic, I can relate somewhat. I hope she finds the strength from within that she needs to get her through this shit, unfortunately, finding that strength cannot be taught to her by her mother. I wish her well on her journey~

I like what Jasmine said. Other than that, is it wrong that I could not care less about this girl?

mynerva said...

I can't help feeling with this girls history and genes that all this is going to end badly.

Sad.

@Jasmine - That was a beautiful & sad quote, I loved it. Thank you for sharing it. Seems to fit BK & Whitney well.

This is such a sad story. I'm close with my mom and can't imagine life without her..but I have a pretty good support system whereas not sure this poor young lady does. I hope she gets through and comes out stronger.

She appears to be poorly educated - which means she's had little contact with the world outside of her mother's shady hangers-on. That's my big concern, here. At least if she'd shown some ambition, graduated from HS and gone to college of some sort, anywhere, and seen she can plan for herself and control her destiny.....

Krissy never had normal adult child relationships. Whitney was a mess for most of Krissys life and was never in the parental role.
Krissy had nannies then later they were both cared for by Whitneys handlers. Like siblings. Towards the end, Krissy was in the adult role.
Being on Oprah is not her first brush with face, Krissy has been in the limelight all her life. She traveled with her mother and would go on stage and sing with her. Oprah had nothing to do with the mess in that family and to even mention it is an insult.

She was hospitalized twice after Whitney's death, and they're blaming Oprah? Whatever.

Thank you jasmine for finding the perfect thing to say about this sad, sad girl

Oprah has probably been one of the brighter spots for BK since her mother's passing. Speaking with her, not necessarily the airing.

If it wasn't Oprah, someone else would have jumped right in for an interview and exploited her. Someone like Howard Stern or Wendy Williams. I like Diane Sawyers better but I think Oprah still deserves some respect.

As far as Angelina as her brother, I always thought that was some weird rumor but that gossip list pre-2004 is turning out to be so right about a lot of stuff. I'll take what they say about AJ with an open mind:

Jolie, Angelina. Deadbeat. B_______. "Tempestuous." "Earning herself a reputation as a homewrecker." Likes to cut herself before sex. Drug user. When not in a relationship, will make do with her male friends. Linked with Antonio Banderas, Nicholas Cage, Colin Farrell, Ethan Hawke, Timothy Hutton, Jenni Shimizu, Kiefer Sutherland, Billy Bob Thornton, and her own brother (!!!).
