Kim Zolciak Is Pregnant

Apparently every celebrity or D list wannabe celebrity is now pregnant. Kim Zolciak tells Life & Style that she is pregnant and that unlike her last pregnancy this one is not an accident. That is always good for your child to know, that they were an accident and not planned while their younger sibling was planned. Would that make you feel bad or you just would not care? I think it is later accidents that make parents more resentful. They thought they were finished with the whole baby thing then along comes a surprise and they are either resentful or pay absolutely no attention to you and the person ends up a mess. All stereotypical to be sure, but that is kind of the way it seems.

I was a 'surprise' for my parents and they were thrilled about it. I am the middle child in my family.

She is butt-ugly.

I'm the youngest and I asked my mom once if I was an accident. She said yes, and I couldn't care less tbh. I thought it was funny.

I have an accidental 3rd child who I could not love more. She was an unplanned delight and I hope she never feels unwanted.

Sorry Enty, I have to disagree strongly. Later accidents are sometimes cherished. I was a later in life surprise. My siblings are 11 and 15 years older than me; mom thought she was going through menopause until she finally saw a doctor in the 5th month. There was no resentfulness or lack of attention. I was always treated like a wonderful gift, and got the benefit of my parents being more successful in life -- more vacation time, better standard of living.

It is all about who the parents are as people, not about whether you were an accident or not. Some people just make the most of it, and some never let go of the resentment.

Our first and third child were accidents, I obviously did not have the birth control thing down. My middle was planned so that should help with the middle child syndrome. I wouldn't have changed anything if I could do it all again.

I'm happy for her, she seems to be in a good place.

Lol Seachica, my siblings are 10 and 15 years older than me, almost the same.

I'm 100% certain I was an accident. My parents had only been together a very short time. They got married after I was born and are technically still together (my dad is in a long-term care home now, he has dementia). I never doubted their love for me.

I'm now thinking of that Simpsons episode where Grandpa Simpson tells Homer he was an accident and he freaks. He later tells Marge who told him that he (Homer) told Bart that this morning, "But when I do it, it's cute."

My youngest was planned, the other two I refer to as surprises, not accidents. They're all awesome.

i know i was an accident, i was given away. but apparently my parents didn't learn and kept procreating.

Catholic family planning at its finest!
Also, my second was microplanned, first wasn't planned for, or against. If it happened, it happened. and it did. and we love both of our children unconditionally.

The Mum fibs and changes history frequently, so at this point I have no idea and really don't care.

Getting back to Kim, I think Kroy has been a good influence. Good luck to them.

of course she is pregnant. how else would she get to stay in the public eye when she has no talent or skill?

I'm the baby and TOTALLY was an accident. But I don't think my parents were resentful or ignored me. If anything, I was terribly spoiled. :)

My oldest wasnt planned but also not something we tried to prevent. My youngest was the best surprise Ive ever gotten. I know I was an accident with my mom & at first a very unhappy one but Ive never felt any less loved. I will say if my mom had gotten pregnant after me she may have been a little angry so maybe theres some truth to what Enty says. Every stereotype has a little truth to it but also a lot of people that dont fit the mold.

Oh & Kim looks like a horse. Time to stop with the plastic surgery.

Why do we even care about this trick?
And NONE of us were planned..My older sister was a child born out of wedlock with a married man in the 50's in the south. I was conceived on my mother's wedding night and 11 months later the little sister came along. Mom now tells us she loves us but growing up that certainly was not evident. Hell it's not so much now either come to think of it. (not bitter not bitter not bitter....)

Most people I know are accidents. I was my parents' first child, born when they were 17 and 20, 6 months after they married, ha.

My husband is the 3rd child, born because the doctor who was supposed to do the vasectomy had to go to a funeral, so the procedure was delayed for one lucky week. :-)

I don't know many people who were planned, actually!

Read about this news (?) last night, and my initial response on facebook was:

First Snooki, then a Kardashian and now Kim from the Real Housewives of Atlanta is pregnant.
It's official- the future of the world lies in the hands of a handful of human jello-cups and a shit ton of Duggars.
I'm buying an apocalypse kit and a dozen rolls of aluminum and masking tape. Cause shiz is about to get real up in here~

And waking up and seeing this picture of her again, I stand by my statement 100% hahaha

@Jasmine, HAHAHA! Too true!

Why is this woman's pregnancy news? She is hideous.

Can't these Real Housewive's people just GO AWAY?

I wish people would stop reporting on these non-celebrities. It just feeds their ego and they multiply.

@Figgy, regarding your husband coming to be, wow!

I'm sure most of us are here because of alcohol.

Me and my younger brother were planned. My husband is a change of life baby, he has 3 older sisters and there is 13 years between the youngest and him. His older sisters are very jealous that his parents were in a better financial position when they had him, he is not close to them.
Eldest godson was an accident when my friends were first married, his younger sister was planned. They definitely have been harder on him then on her, sad to see.
Another couple I know both wanted the first child, but the husband didn't want the second and doesn't have much to do with him.

First time I tried for a year before becomming pregant. The second was a surprise in that we had just stopped preventing and I was surprised I got pregnant almost immediately. Especially after the difficulty the firt time.

My middle daughter was the only one not planned..I told her she was a surprise and a good surprise.

My oldest sister wasn't planned - my parents were 16 & 20 when she was conceived (depending on who you talk to, it was a shotgun - literally - wedding too). My middle sister *may* have been planned, but we're not sure (the story changes).

My Dad got a vasectomy before they conceived me, but they didn't wait until it healed to get busy again - hence me (13 & 15 years between my sisters & I). At least that's the story (I'm not sure if it's even possible).

Though I know that they love me (and that I'm probably their favorite), it still stings/hurt that they went as far as SURGERY to make sure they didn't have another kid (me). Definitely have felt unwanted at times.

Good for them! I mean that. She is so much less annoying with Kroy and the babies LOL

Who is Kim Zolciak? I'll have to google her. Never saw or heard of her.

Honestly, it would have helped in my case if my mom hadn't introduced me as "our little accident".

Our younger son was a surprise. Guess what we DID NOT tell him?

All children are gifts.

There's no way that woman is 32 years old!! I would like to see her, Chelsea Handler and Catherine Zeta Jones birth certificates. There's just no way any of them are as young as they claim to be, imo.

I simply abhor the term "accident". Nobody wants an accident. A surprise is something you didnt know you wanted til you got it... All my kids were unplanned surprises - the pill seems to fail me every ten years.
Though this last one, I was going through peri menopause, and honestly did not believe for one instant that I was pregnant... Surprise!!

Amy in MI said...

There is NO way in hell this trick is younger than me. Period.

I wasn't an accident, but I was a surprise. My mom, because of some medical issues she has, had been told she would never get pregnant and successfully carry to term, but she desperately wanted children. She had two miscarriages before getting pg with me, then three more before having my brother 6.5 years later. Guess we were the two who beat the odds. So, while not planned, we were really, really wanted. At least by mom. My dad, not so much, I think. Her having babies meant HE didn't get to be the baby anymore. But that's a whole other story ...

I was an unwanted accident. Another child in a family that already had too many. Even if nobody told me the story, I still knew it. Its how your parents treat once you've joined the world not how they felt when they found out they were having you that matters.

I knew a girl in college who managed to get her tubes tied at 21; she was an only child whose parents hadn't really planned on being parents. While she always said that they were good parents and loved her very much, something else must have been seeping through, because why else would she have said about her tubal ligation "The mistake ends with me"?

I was planned because it took my parents 5 years to get up the nerve to try again after my older sister (who was born prematurely & was severely handicapped; she died when she was 8 & I was 2 1/2). The embarrassing part was hearing from my mom that they decided I ought to be a happy baby, because apparently much fun was had conceiving me! On one hand, it's nice to know you were conceived in love (and more than a little lust), but on the other hand, well...did I NEED to know that? Younger brother was also planned; younger sister was supposedly an accident, but now my mom admits that well, she really did want another baby... ;-) Anyway, it is kind of comforting to know I was a wanted child, although I don't think my poor parents knew just what they were getting/getting into w/me...

Meh...I think accidents do happen more often than not. I think it's more important how Kim/Kroy parent than the kid knowing if they were an accident or planned.

She's an idiot, but Kroy seems like a nice dude. So, new baby has that going for him/her. :-)

My aunt was a very late accident (my grandmother was 40) and she was/is the beloved baby of the family. It was a huge blessing for my grandparents, because she was young enough to have plenty of energy to take care of them in their later years when they had serious illnesses.

LynGBH said...

40 isn't THAT old! I had my kids at almost 38 and 42.

That being said, why doesn't she have a better wig? I would assume she could afford it.

Clearly, the image has been heavily photoshopped yet it still looks like crap.
