Lisa Rinna Is Doing Adult Diaper Commercials

It was not that long ago that Lisa Rinna was having herself a career comeback. She was on Dancing With The Stars and then got her own reality show and she was being offered parts in television shows and movies and then it went away in an instant and she is doing commercials for Depend, the adult diaper. After that run of success it must have been hard for her agent to say I got you a commercial. The pay is great and they love you. Lisa probably got all excited and then her agent told her what the commercial is for and Lisa probably realized it is what it is and it is a paycheck. I love how in the video, Harry Hamlin is just kind of resigned to be there. He looks like he is 100 and weighs 10 pounds. That is not the LA Law Harry Hamlin.

Oh, and Lisa is apparently actually wearing the diapers too.

  1. I saw the commericial last night and was pretty surprised. I mean, I could see her doing one for those "occasional leakage" type pads that Whoopi Goldberg endorses, but doing an ad for all-out depends is pretty desperate.

  2. It DOES seem a little sad, but so is having incontinence. She IS putting a sexy face on Depends, actually. And she's right...you cannot tell that she's wearing it. Good on her, I say.

  3. I think it's great. She's about the age that women start needing those things. Good for her for not being snooty about it. It makes me like her a lot more than I did before I saw the commercial. (Don't forget, June Allyson did these kind of commercials too)

  4. She's actually just started back on "Days of Our Lives" recently

  5. Lisa would take a job cutting the ribbon in a nuclear power plant opening... in China.
    She's the original Kris Jenner.

  6. They both seem desperate to work and I guess there's nothing wrong with that. He was a decent actor at one time, I don't know what happened to his career.

  7. Ohhhh, poor Lisa. :(

  8. I thought it was a pretty well done commercial.

Didn't she say she was doing it for a charity? Dress For Success.

Never liked her much before, this actually improves my opinion of her.

  9. She's obviously doing the commercial for food. She and Harry both look pretty damned thin.

I got an unrequested free sample of these in the mail this week. If I wear it, will it make my lips puff up?

  11. Isn't she too young to be wearing Depends?! Acc. to her IMDB, she is 48. If that's true, then just when you get out of wearing pads for your period, you start it for incontinence. And that thought is too depressing to think about.

Rinna is a liar, liar, pants on fire about her age.

  12. Age isn't necessarily a factor in needing these products. I know people who've had leakage issues since their 20s and others like my 96-year-old grandmother who've never needed them. Lots of times, a woman's pregnancy or pregnancies will trigger a need for these. Sometimes a new mom might need them for a few months, and then again years later, when menopause hits.

  13. And don't forget that people with some illnesses have the symptom of incontinence, nothing to make fun of.

  14. Hmmm, the way this is worded about her having a career resurgence then never being heard of...sounds like a BI clue to me... :-)

  15. There are a bunch of people doing these Depends commercials. Clay Matthews (my avatar) and some other NFL guys did one too. It's for charity. They're trying to erase the stigma attached to adult diapers & incontinence/prostate cancer.

  17. I was just about to say what chopchop said. Let's see the Clay Matthews one instead. Way more interesting.

  18. I watched this in shock with one hand covering my completely open mouth. I kept picturing the glamorous villain from Melrose Place that I loved to hate but when it sunk in, I'm very proud of her and I hope she inspires(?) other women. More people than you realize have embarrassing health issues and if they all admitted it, they would realize that they are the normal and have nothing to be ashamed of.

  19. I think it's great. I mean, career-wise, I can see where Enty is going with this. Commercials are at the bottom of the ladder, unless you're A-List advertising your own perfume or liquor.

I think it's good that "Depends" and the other pads are putting a familiar face in their ads. It might put people more at ease so they aren't embarrassed about something they can't control.

  21. All I see is a woman reaches over 45 years old and is tied to old age, with all the factors associated with it- i.e. inconsistency and adult diapers.

I dont see this as a great thing she's doing. To me it's another example of ageism against women in HOllywood (and our society as a whole really).

She turns 48, put her out to pasture.
He turns 60, has a 30 year old wife, and just had a new baby.

  22. Um, Jasmine, did you not see my comment? It's not a "down with women" issue. Macho men like Clay & other big, burly NFL men are doing the same commercials. It's helping to remove the embarrassment of incontinence. I like you, Jasmine, and I think you're a super intelligent woman. But I really wish you'd stop playing the "misogyny" card ... not everything has to be men vs. women. JMHO.

  23. I love Lisa. I saw this commercial last night. I felt sorry for Harry. He looked mega uncomfortable. But she is so chipper selling diapers. It takes a happy soul to pull that off.

I know people of various ages who can't laugh or cough without some leakage. Shit happens. Sometimes you need that extra protection.

  24. Well, she IS a shitty actress. *Rimshot* <---See what I did there?

  25. Celebrities ...they're just like us!

  26. It is a nose dive in terms of where she was but at least its a job. Dont worry Lisa things will get better!

  27. Kinda sad - I knew her before she was famous when she was dating a closeted soap actor - she was really nice people really liked her. I know she is doing days again maybe she can turn it around.

  28. Nolachickee - "Shit happens" Bwahahahaha! I don't know if you meant to do that, but I couldn't help it - I just had to go there!

I've always liked Lisa Rinna. If she's actually using these, good for her for going public with it (even if she is getting paid). It'd be great to have the stigma removed.

  29. I saw the commercial last night and I thought what the heck? I hope Enty comments on this =)

This makes her seem desperate for money almost like Megan Mullaly and the I can't believe it's not butter commercials.

  30. A paycheck is a paycheck. Glad to see she is not too proud to work at something she may not actually wants to do, but the bills still have to get paid. And as others have said, she is taking the stigma out of something like this.

  31. Ok so has anyone seen Harry Hamlin's guest starring role on Shameless? Lol he plays Fiona's bf's father WHO is in the closet! Not a stretch for Harry! Can't wait for next week. Remembering Harry from the original Clash of the Titans....not LA Law.

  32. Well she has been with Harry Hamlin for a good while.

Kirstie Alley is doing commercials too for some leakage product.

  33. I wish companies would stop paying celebrities to endorse their products and lower the prices instead. I almost never purchase anything celebrity endorsed.

  35. Wow...Lisa is gorgeous and in fantastic shape. I hope I look like her when I hit her age. She's also way too young to be doing these types of commercials, I'm surprised. I would think it would be someone in their late 60's, early 70's. Is Lisa even 50 yet?
