Random Photos Part One

Three parts today.

Another photo of Miley Cyrus and her dog, but this time with Liam Hemsworth to keep her company.
Apparently Mark Wahlberg does his own stunts. Most dangerous one? Trying to do comedy.
Natalie Portman in Paris. It looks like spring there.
Rose McGowan goes for the illusion of being naked. You know, so people will stare at her.
A tornado is so powerful it can
toss a semi into the air. That is incredible.
Victoria Beckham shows off more cooking skills while
David Beckham takes the kids to a hockey game.
Apparently Michelle Dockery just managed to squeeze into this cover shoot with Juliana Margulies, Claire Danes and Sofia Vergara.

  1. That last pic looks like they pasted the heads on the bodies, and like Claire Danes might be a tranny.

  2. I saw that cover of VF yesterday and it really pisses me off, plus all the shots within are the same of women lounging around in the lingerie. How stupid to have an issue honoring women in TV and then having them be all tits and ass. Note OMG there are 2 ethnic women inside.

  3. My dad and brother were in the midst of all those storms but they're okay. They're saying there may have been up to 18 tornados in the metroplex area.

  4. Natalie Portman looks like she has orange self tanner on. Miley looks very thin. I wld not want to be UNDER that semi when it came down, lol. And yes, Danes does look like a tranny. I dont know what the hell she did to her face.

  5. Those tornadoes were way too close to home for me. Thankfully there were no serious injuries.

  6. I know Sherry!

Hope all our fellow Texans that live in the Metroplex are safe and sound.

  7. I've got a dog AND a BF, ya'll! (That dog is awfully cute.)

    (Sigh) Paris in the spring...

If I were Rose M. I would want to draw attention away from my face.

Those tornado pix are nightmare material. As are the unattractive cupcakes. May have to bring my cupcake avatar back to cleanse my eyeballs. Kind of tired of Idris rubbing his forehead anyway.

The ladies look hot but Michelle looks awkward. Agree with you, @msgirl - hey, let's celebrate the women by putting them in bed with jewels! That's all they're good for, sex, and if we want that, we have to buy them sparkly things! Jesus. Don't know what VF's headline was tho, maybe I'm missing the clever idea.

  8. I'm looking at Rose McGowan's photo on a small phone screen, to me her face looks so fresh and young.

  9. The tornado pictures are terrifying.

It's so obvious that those four women were photographed separately and then pasted into the same picture. And Michelle Dockery (whoever that is) just looks like some kind of sneaky bed intruder.

  10. Fresh and young - Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

@Maja, she's from Downton Abbey. It's Lady Mary.

Love what Nathalie is wearing. That's what you wear in Paris. I don't think she looks orangey but it could be late afternoon sun.

  12. @msgirl- WORD. GREAT comment (and observation)!

  13. Vanity Fair covers are ridiculous, and have been for many, many years.

Whenever they feature female entertainers, 99.9% of times they're aiming at vulgar titillation, just shooting it in soft focus and sepia tone, in order to pretentiously present it as some kind of "artistic" statement.

  14. Hope all our Texans are okay.

Vanity Fair group cover shots always look like a bunch washed- out clones, like variations on theme instead of like different people. VF is so predictable.

You know how some people start to look like their dog (or vice versa)? Miley's dog kind of looks like her. Or vice versa. That's not a slam, it's a cute dog.

  15. Natalie Portman is totalling channelling Audrey Hepburn.

  16. that picture at the bottom, EVERYONE looks so incredibly uncomfortable!

  17. Natalie looks orange.

Rose McGowan is wearing Z Calvariccis.

  18. I can't say enough how much I love the Beckham kids. Whatever I think of Posh and Becks, their children are always smiling. Happy, comfortable in their parents presence, normal children. Not photo-opped like Suri. This makes me like Posh and Becks.

  19. With everything you know about Rose McGowan, you should really be nicer to her.

(I can't believe I'm actually admonishing someone to be less snarky. Carry on! Just not on Rose!)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Anything Rose wears these days is far better than that "dress" she wore to the MTV awards in 1998.

    ReplyDelete
  21. what else do we know about rose?

  22. Pittman looks bronzed and glowing - maybe my phone's screen is flattering to whatever colour she is. She looks chic anyway. And I was having a minor moment last night wondering why I wasn't in Paris right that second. First world problem...

  24. Tornadoes frighten me more than any other natural disaster. I hope everyone in Texas is safe..

  25. Vanity fair has gone so far downhill in the last few years, they have been cruising on autopilot for a long time..and I hope everyone in our cdan family from Texas is safe and sound, I will keep a thought for all of you.

  26. I'd take those above mentioned so-called *unattractive* cupcakes that look like they were probably made by a well meaning mum (Posh) than a poser who touts her cooking as her own, when it was most likely made by a chef (Goopster, et al). Made with love beats made with pretension any day in my book. ;)

  27. I'm w/Steph on the cupcakes--they look homemade, as if the kids decided to help decorate them (hey, maybe they did?). While I won't hate on anyone w/fancy-schmancy cupcakes, sometimes the "loving hands at home" look isn't a bad thing, and Easter cupcakes would be one of those things IMO. (A slightly more snarky way to look at it would be to say that she obviously made them herself, because they sure as hell weren't bought from a bakery, but I think it's sweet that Posh is actually baking goodies for her family. Whatever her & David's faults, they do seem to love their kids very much and are definitely hands-on parents; those kids probably stand a much better chance of turning out OK than a lot of other celebrities' children.

  28. I like the cupcakes, they look yummy and fun.

Natalie looks gorgeous and I wish I were in Paris, too.

  29. I can't believe it's gotten this far in the comments and no one snarked that the reason Posh's cupcakes looked less than perfect is because she doesn't know what cupcakes look like, her never having eaten one & all. I love how the boys are excited to be on the Jumbotron!!

VF sorely needs Christopher Hichens to come back and give it some substance, since it's lacking in style and taste.

When I saw Rose McGowan's getup I wanted to wish her luck on the balance beam, it took me back to my 5th grade gym show so much.

Good vibes to all those affected by the tornadoes.

  30. The tornado pics are so frightening. I was so glad to hear there were no fatalities, though. It's amazing.

    LOL @ "sneaky bed intruder"

    That picture is ridiculous.

  31. I can't imagine Posh making cupcakes. I just can't. And I like her.

@ Ja'mie King, you know that Christopher Hitchens died of cancer, right?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Was going to add: Now that Hitchens is gone, I haven't renewed my subscription to Vanity Fair. It's just too far removed from reality for me anymore.

  33. In my opinion, foods that look super fancy usually taste like poo.

Case in point: Last Christmas, my boyfriend's family received these "homemade" frosted sugar cookies from a family friend. They were so obviously store-bought, but gourmet style store we're talking. The frosting decoration was amazing - detailed, great colors...something you'd see at a high-end bakery. We were psyched - we all picked our favorite one and bit in....argh&#%%!@#
Disgusting. Was dry as heck and tasted like cardboard.

So, in closing...I bet those cupcakes taste freaking delicious.

And now I have a major cupcake craving. Damn you Posh!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ok you know Posh didn't make those cupcakes. Or eat them.

  35. I was very luck re: the tornadoes. My house just looked like it had rained really hard. One of my co-workers pretty much lost his house. But you know, you can replace stuff! I didn't rest easy until I got home and hugged my dog.

RE: cupcakes. I concur with those about the fancy-schmancy bakery ones. We received a box from a vendor. They were very pretty - and dry as dust! I'd much rather go the homemade route -especially if someone's kids helped decorate!

  36. Miley is wearing the same outfit in this picture as she is in the link below. I'm not a fan of her by any means (I can't stand when people continually park in handicapped spots) but based on family experiences, people who cut themselves are in serious need of help.
