Urkel Goes Off On Kym Johnson

After what Jaleel White put Kym Johnson through on Friday, I'm shocked she even showed up last night and even more surprised that she did not accidentally fall just to get Jaleel eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. On Friday, according to US Weekly, the accused abuser, Jaleel White, stepped on Johnson's foot in practice. Instead of blaming himself which is what 99% of people would do he blamed Kym and got in her face and started yelling at her and calling her an idiot. Kym fled the studio in tears. Donald Driver came over to calm Urkel down but Urkel was still mad and started getting into it with Mark Ballas. The two were doing that thing which guys do who don't want to fight but pretend they do with the whole getting ready to swing thing. Urkel won't fight a guy because he is a bully who only picks on women and Ballas probably did not want to get in trouble, although I do think he would get in a fight if pressed. At that point the producers sent Jaleel home for the day and he vowed to never rehearse there again and demanded his own practice space. What an a-hole.

  1. He needs to be kicked off for unprofessionalism. What a tool.

Yeah- he needs to be cut STAT. Not cool. And I heard he's gets really pissed when people call him Urkel, so, cut the shit Urkel.

  3. Have to say, I believe this is Enty's third post about this Urkel, and I have no idea who he is. The word is familiar, but I don't remember an Urkel.

No, please, don't tell me. If I cared enough I'd google. I just find it odd that there's someone we refer to as "Urkel". I'll go to my deathbed not knowing, that's fine with me.

  4. I'm not defending his actions at all, but I think the story is exaggerated. This happened on Friday and the story wasn't released until Monday and by only one source.

If this is true though I really believe that Kym is far too professional to throw the competition.

  5. EmEyeKay Urkel was the name of the nerdy character he played on Family Matters. It was a show in the 90's that broadcast in the Friday night block known as TGIF. It came on after Full House I think.

  6. Luckily, I was out partying Friday nights in the 90s and never watched the show. That character seemed so cartoonish and idiotic anyway.

  7. wow, bully and Urkel -- two words I never expected to see in the same sentence (unless it was a bully kicked Urkel's ass, which I admit at this point would be a good thing).

Agreed -- what a tool and not in the good garden type tool way, either.

  8. Leave it Donald Driver to try to fix things. He is such an awesome human.

This Jaleel dude should be grateful for the opportunity to be anything but a Dlister for a few weeks. He sounds like he has some anger issues in a major way.

Kym Johnson should have left her face alone. She is only 35 but looks 10 years older.

Now I know way more than I ever wanted to about this Dancing show.

Family Matters sucked ass. He should be happy for any kind of tv job.

Is she seriously only 35? Her face is so busted looking.

  10. Hines Ward needs to come back and show Jaleel how to treat his teacher with some respect.

  11. I'm sure he's one of the guys that yells, "Why do you make me hit you?!" Nothing is ever his fault.

I didn't see the DWTS freak out because I hate that show.

  12. Kym is one of my favorite pro's on the show. I had high hopes for Urkel, so disappointed.

@discoflux there was no freak out on the show. This apparently happened during rehearsals and it wasn't shown during the show.

  13. he's such a classic beater.

too bad most of the men that beat women don't get charges pressed against them, or they get dropped because people get in the way =\

  14. I've always had a soft spot for Kym Johnson after the one season I watched where she was partnered with Jerry Springer. I really enjoyed watching them together - Springer referred to her as his "adopted daughter" when he was saying his goodbyes and I could almost believe that. They looked like they really had a good time and she seemed to have become a part of his family.

So, Urkel, Kym has one Mirrorball Trophy to her name. And you????

  15. He should be kicked off and replaced. I don't watch the show but that seems fair.

  16. This story makes me especially angry. I'm watching my sister disentangle herself from a (soon-to-be) ex-husband, finding out that years of abuse was in the mix. Speaking as a dude, hitting women and/or physically intimidating them is 101% unacceptable in my book. Especially Kym Johnson, I mean, she's one of the most patient, non-soap opera-y dancers on the show.

EmEyeKay, sounds like you were young enough to miss the rather milquetoasty Family Matters, basically a Cosby Show knockoff that was on the air for about five years around 1989-1994. Consider yourself lucky.

  17. Just because he hates it. Urkel, Urkel, Urkel, Urkel, Urkel.

  18. I'll bet he will blame everyone else when his career suddenly dries up again, too.

  19. He needs to go. Kym is one of the nicest dancers on the show and she always gets the best out of her partners. Hate to see her season cut short but she doesn't need this.

I was prepared to like this guy and root for him---hoping the show would give him a career boost--but this temperment is not something I want to see for entertainment.

Actually, ms_goddess, Kym has three trophies to her name: she won the American DWTS with Donny Osmond and Hines Ward, and she won the show in her native Australia years ago. She's a good dance and such a great partner for her celebs. She actually tries to TEACH them, not just dance around them.

Jaleel will be in no one's good graces with this. Kym is beloved by DWTS fans and is one of the nicest, drama-free pros the show has. She's never had a problem with any of her previous partners, then here comes Jaleel. Poor Kym. :-(

Somebody doesn't recognize this incredibly unique opportunity to actually have a job again. Maybe there's a reason he never did a damn thing after Family Matters. He should be grateful anyone even remembers his name. Douche.

  22. I think he needs bounced. There is no reason she should have to put up with him being an abusive jerk.

  23. Family Matters was a spin off of Perfect Strangers.

  24. TMZ (I know, I know) has a story saying it's BS.

  25. I've enjoyed watching the show so far this year, lot's of good dancing.

I feel really sorry for Kim having to put up with Jaleel. I don't doubt that it's true though, Tony D. had a terrible time with Kate Gosselin also.

Somewhere in the contracts it should say that the professionals are to be treated as such. Most of these *stars* are lucky to have their face on camera at all.

And what's the private practice space for, is that so he can yell and berate her and not have a football player come in and straighten him out?

She shouldn't go anywhere with him alone.

  26. This should have been a storyline on the show. I'm sure many people who voted for him last night would never have done so had they known what he is capable of.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ugh, did you guys watch last night when he "teared up" after his dance? Such an act! He was just jealous everyone else had a "real" sob story. He grossed me out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. @RenoBlondee, yeah, I saw him. If I had known then what I know now, I probably would have thrown something at the TV.

In light of his actions Kim shouldn't be forced to go anywhere else with him, and if he vowed to never come in again to rehearse maybe he'll just leave the show.

    I wish!

  29. So disappointing because I always adored him as Urkel.

Thank God I've never heard that Henry Winkler beats women. I don't think I could take it!

  30. HA! His little crying fit last night was so funny. Last night was the first time I've ever watched that show, and I just had it on for background noise but I paid attention when his turn came. All he could get out as he "sobbed" was "I just love entertaining!" Hahahahaha seriously, I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. It was pretty plain to see why he can't get an acting job.

  31. He is a p.o.s....I also didn't like when he started making fun of her eyes being crossed.

Kym is so sweet on this show Jaleel is another child actor gone wrong.

  32. The guy's an egotistical jerk--he totally thinks he's Stefan Ur-kel. I knew a girl who was at UCLA with him. He asked her on a date and brought her to his apartment at the end of the evening. When she refused to have sex with him, he kicked her out and said, "Well, walk home, then." She lived across the city.

  33. Layna Day - Thanks for the correction! :-) Like I said, I only watched the one season ( I think that might have been Kym's first season on the American version). You're right - she is very professional and always seems so nice - just an all-around sweetheart.

  34. Sorry, I'm gonna have to believe TMZ/Mark Ballas on this one.

    This story is a "fabrication".

  35. I always thought Urkel was a talent-free waste of my time. I still do, whether this particular story is true or not.

    ReplyDelete
  36. apparently, he is a grade A jerk. I agree- kick him off the show!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Bet he has a tiny peen to match his huge NPD.

  38. I've read so many reports today, from Jaleels spokeperson, Kym, Mark and a few others, all saying the story is not true and that the incident which did take place was blown out of proportion.

She didnt look unhappy last night, and I believe that if the incident had taken place as described, he would not have gotten fairly good comments from the judges last night, they have never shied away from confronting someones bad behaviour (Maks).

  39. That Urckle sure sounds likek an ass, but here's a better question...wtf happened to Kym's face???? Her body looks nice on television but damn, that's a messed up mug!

  40. Horrible picture of Kym Johnson!!!!!
