You Can't The Teen Out Of Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber might have driven a $116K car through the drive thru at Chick-fil-A yesterday, but it still marks the third consecutive day of dates with Selena Gomez that consisted of Subway, sandwiches out of a vending machine and now Chick-fil-A. Granted the chicken sandwich available at Chick-fil-A is absolutely amazing and should be savored by everyone at least once on their life. Just don't try and go on a Sunday because they are closed. Back in the day they used to only be in malls but now they have stand a lone ones. The one in Hollywood that Bieber went to yesterday is about five blocks from In-N-Out. That involves one big decision which is why I like to go to both. I don't want either restaurant to have their feelings hurt. A lesson In-N-Out could learn is the double drive thru lanes at Chick-fil-A. Yep, two lanes at once because that is how popular it is.

Anyway, back to being a teen. To teens, every date should be a fast food date. I understand that. It was years before I ever saw anything on a menu that was more than $9.99 and that was only when my parents were paying.

  1. Chik-fil-A gives so much money to anti-gay rights groups that they will never see another penny of mine.

  2. Forget the fast food, I want to drive that fast car!

  4. I want that car, and nail polish to match.

  5. Agree with FS. Also, they give big bucks to groups against reproductive rights. Are they still closed on Sundays? I know they are delicious, but I quit eating there when I found out they mixed business with politics.

  6. That's straight up the tackiest fucking car I've ever seen. And I've known many wealthy teenagers who have bought cars in that same price range.

He's like the Beverly Hillbillies. They called their pool the cement pond. I wonder what he calls this car. They ate the same country food they were used to. Not surprising he takes his date to fast food joints.

  7. The one time I went to In-n-Out the drive thru line was thru a shopping center parking lot, up the block and around the corner. I found a spot on the street and went inside where it was nearly empty.

  8. No wonder Selena got so constipated from fast food she had severe abdominal pain and wound up in an ER. Girl, eat some veggies before you get impacted again.

    I wanna drive!!

  10. What FS said. And, I ate at Chick Fil A once, before I knew about the anti gay $$, and I didn't finish it because (to me) it just tasted nasty. If I'm gonna eat nasty food, I'd like to at least know that the money won't go to fund some homophobic campaign against my marriage.

  11. Chick-Fil-A IS delicious, but add me to the list of folks who boycott.

I adore Chick-fil-A's food but my politics will not allow me to eat it. Besides, I only ever seemed to crave it on Sundays, and their being closed sucks. I understand you like to give your employees a chance to be with their families and go to church and all that foo-fa-rah, but couldn't you just hire a few heathens to work Sundays?

  13. Enty, dear, dear Enty - I am surprised and too sadly disappointed that you would patronize Chick-Fil-A.
That is just disgusting. Just think where the profits from your purchase are going. Wow.

  14. God I miss In-n-Out! I wish they'd come out East. I'd take them over Chick any old day of the week.

  15. pro-marriage is not the same as anti-gay. Learn the facts. I love chick-fil-A and I am gay.

    ReplyDelete
  16. being gay doesn't mean you aren't ignorant about this issue:

    from wikipedia:
According to Chick-Fil-A's 990 IRS forms, the charitable WinShape (largely funded by Chick-fil-A) gave more than $2 million to anti-gay groups between 2003 and 2009, the majority in 2009.

pro-marriage means anti-gay most of the time.
and please don't tell me to learn the facts when you are the one who seems to need the education - or is it simply self-loathing?

  17. I love Chik-fil-A and could eat there every.single.day. Yumyum.

  18. That car is HOT! Obnoxious though? FO SHO.

Didnt know that about Chick-Fil-A. Another reason (in about a million) why being a vegetarian pays off. I get to avoid places like Chick-Fil-A (dumbo name btw) simply because I cant eat their food.

Also, get what you're saying brakewater, but I'm gonna have to be Team Gladys on this one. She's happily married to a female and opts not to go to a place that doesnt support that part of her life. Makes purrrfect sense to me :)

  20. because Wikipedia is such the fact-finding website. please. Don't talk to me about self-loathing.

  21. Brakewater, I did read a lot about Chik-Fil-A a year or two ago because I did not want it to be true. It's not just that they are Anti-gay marriage (I'm sorry, but one side does not get to claim the "pro marriage" label), they are also anti-gay in general. They give money to organizations that support conversion therapy and camps that teach teenagers that homosexuality is wrong and should not be accepted and don't have gay friends, etc, etc, etc.

Chick-fil-A is anti-gay, that is their choice. You choose to eat there, I choose not to.

  22. I'm not gay, I don't eat at Chick-fil-A, but I have huge love for their ads and the cows.

As for Bieber, does that car blind other driver's?

  23. I'm so on my way to Chik-fil-A. Yummy. Further, they are not anti-gay, they simply have Christian values.

  28. They definitely ARE anti-gay, and I don't consider bigotry as "Christian values".

I can't stand to even drive past Chick-fil-A because the stench of grease wafting out of there makes me ill. I'm proud to say I've never given them one cent, and never will.

  29. I would have done something like this when I was his age if I had had the resources. Obnoxious? Yes. He is still a kid though, albeit a rich one.

  30. I've never been to either Chick-Fil-A or In-n-out (what's with you Californians and your hyphens??). But we have Kopps here in the MKE and their burgers are ginormous and amazing. Get one with grilled onions on it ... Yum! And then for dessert, get some frozen custard. Shit, now I'm hungry.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I've seen plenty of in and outs with double drive thrus, all over So Cal.

While Chick-fil-A may have been founded by a guy with "Christian values" (I think he might actually be Mormon), they went a few steps beyond that when they used their profits for anti-gay activities. I know plenty of Christians who don't give two cents about homosexuality, they consider it a private or a political issue, not a religious one.

Here's a Christian value: Whatever you do to the least among you, that you do unto me. - JC himself.

  32. @Chopchop- I believe Chik-Fil-A is from the east coast. I grew up there (south) and all the kids from school would prefer to work there because they got Sundays off. But yeah not sure why people seem to be okay with having poolitics (typo and it stays) preached from the pulpit. Unless of course you want to hide your prejudice behind religious dogma. Glad I don't eat fast food or meat anyway.

  34. Oh, and In-N-Out has bible passages on the bottom of their drink cups. Take a look for yourself...just not when the cup is full.

  35. I don't think there's anything wrong with still eating fast food after hitting it rich. It would be much more obnoxious if Bieber started eating lobster and filet mignon just because he felt like he was above McDonald's and Subway.

I have never eaten at Chick-Fil-A because we don't have them in Canada, but I sure as hell never will if I do get the chance.

  36. Ok. I don't know who's writing for this blog now, but my ten year old neice has better grammar, sentence composition, and general understanding of punctuation.

    I'm out.

  37. damn. can we have a post about fast food w/o people hating on each other. this is a happy place!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I used to eat there when I lived in Colorado but we don't have them in Michigan. I absolutely disagree with their politics but their chicken nuggets are good

  39. In defense of young people: they have taste buds that still tell them what food taste like, and they can smell things still. By 18 or 20, the sense of taste dies (it's a scientific fact) and the ability to smell diminishes profoundly, so that we end up being stuffy old people going to pasta and lettuce restaurants where we pay fifty bucks for two plates of tasteless crap, with a little cheese grated on top. Enjoy your youth while you're young, Selena and Justin!

  40. Love the car. It's perfect for a young, rich kid.

Never been to Chick-Fil-A and now it looks like I never will.

  41. I think it's kinda cute that they go on dates and eat out at the same places "regular" teenagers do.Weird-ass car?True,BUT I'm guessing he doesn't own beat-up trucks! And it's not like they can just walk there. Keep it real Beebs! Can't stand your voice but you're on my good side now lol

  42. I live in Georgia where Chick-Fil-A began. The company is anti-GLBT and spends millions to further their hate. I have been boycotting for 20+ years and hope all people of good heart will join in!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I genuinely thought that car had been in an accident. Looks frikkin’ busted.

    ReplyDelete
  44. count me in on Chik-Fil-A not getting my money. I work hard for it and it's not going to someplace that's just going to spread it to hateful purposes. That's my choice and there's lots of them out there. Besides, In-N-Out is tasty.

  45. We used to eat the free samples because the servers 'pounced' on you to give them away. The only one I've seen in PNW failed about ten years ago. Idk if there are any on the other side of the Pond. I certainly wouldn't go there now anyway. Btw, Carl's Jr. was very anti reproducive rights as I recall.

  46. He is a teenager doing the cruise with his girl, down to the local burger joint, so all the guys can stare. Something kids have been doing since cars and burgers were invented. Glad to see he can still act his age.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Seriously - what's the problem? Sound like normal teenagers to me. Isn't that what we WANT for them?

And yeah, Chik Filet is way overrated and way homophobic.
