Denver Nuggets Player Has House Raided Over Child Porn Accusations

Chris Birdman Anderson is a player for the Denver Nuggets. he has also been a big part of children's charities wherever he has played. Yesterday, police raided his home as part of an investigation into child pornography and child prostitution. The NBA player was suspended from the team until the investigation is complete. Why is that all these guys who get busted for this crazy obscene stuff regarding children always seem to have often been involved with children through charities and other things. It really scares you when you wonder how many people who work with children through charities have ulterior motives and how many truly want to help kids. How many people are out there that are not caught?

  1. There are so many predators that work with children. Teachers, club leaders, coaches, pastors. They groom the children. It's just horrifying.
This guy is just plain skeevy looking.

  3. You want gas you go to the gas stations, food, the grocery store. If there are kids there then it is a guarantee there are pedos lurking about.

Access. It's always about access. Same thing with police officers who abuse power. It's not all of them, it's those who know that uniform will pretty much let them get away with anything their twisted mind gets off on. Or telling someone who already has the part in the bag that they have to sleep with you to get it to put them over the others (if the casting couch were really ever enough to get a job 85% or more of those who come out to Hollywood would be actively employed and/or a star.) Same with wanting to abuse children, access through teaching, charity work, tutors, Uncle so and so friend of the family, trusted religious leader, etc.

  5. If there is any kind of justice....there is a special place in hell for human feces like thwt.
But please a stupid haircut and tattoos.doesnt make u a pederast. that is the kind of antiquated thinking that has allowed the "normal" looking evil of the world get away with this ad infinitum.

  6. I find the the majority of people who volunteer, Coop boards, thrift shops, church...do so to serve their own self interests...it's the small number of truly committed
people that somehow get lost in the shuffle...

  8. Yup, access. Think of all of the gay-hating religious right who somehow get caught in compromising, sexual trysts with the people they purport to hate.

  9. Tattoos and bad hair does not a predator make. The dude lives in a house with several other people, so there's a good chance this is not him. I hope it's not.

  10. Hard to believe any children's charity would let something that looks like that interact with kids at all

Right b/c it would be wrong to teach kids not to judge someone by how they look. Better to be superficial and judgmental first.

  12. This is the same guy who was suspended by the NBA for two years for coke and meth.

  13. Uh @Norte I hope you weren't implying I think all tatoo'd people with spikey hair are pederasts. I *have* tatoos myself and my nephew has the "hair" and "sleeves" and all.
I didn't mean that at all. This guy just plain does look gross to me. No ulterior motive.

  15. He wasn't charged or arrested yet, though, correct? Innocent until proven guilty.

  16. Why is it that I immediately thought, oh yeah, this guy is guilty, when I read about the volunteering for the kids' charity? It's sad but true. That's where the pedophiles go.

  17. Enty asked how many people like this aren't getting caught, and the sad answer is so, so many. My hubby is involved in prosecuting child porn, and the specialist who retrieves data from seized computers has so much work he can't get it all done. It's really really crazy how this sickness perpetuates itself through generations of abuse.

  20. Omg, I live in Denver and know him (my husband has worked with him in the past). I have to say that I am not surprised in the least. Chris hangs out with a bunch of suburban, slutty looking high school girls. I have told my husband, many times, that I thought that it was creepy. Chris had a Facebook page at one time, and posted photos of him grinding on a high school senior (like a detective I looked at her profile) and she looked drunk. This was a couple of years ago. He closed his account shortly thereafter (I assume that someone told him that it was inappropriate). He also smokes a lot of weed, and drinks a lot, despite being a 'recovered' drug addict (not smart).

  21. I was surprised such a "unique" looking individual would be arrested since they typical like to blend in with the crowd and look very average looking.

  22. I had to deal with a lot of them at work (prisons for 20 yrs.). One unit I worked in the day shift had the baby rapers (thats what we called them) working the desk. I got rid of them and got the Gang prisons. One of the prisoners they had working for them was in for molesting boys that he was supervising in the bike racing business. The FBI had even investigated him and thought they he had molested a least 400 boys. He was killed in the Dining Hall. 5000 prisoners eat in there at once. Of course no one saw anything.

  23. I totally forgot to add that Chris lived with his lawyer, lawyers wife, and their young children while he was trying to get clean a couple of years ago. They are still very close, and he spends a lot of time with the kids. I bet the child porn was of the 'barely legal teenage girl' variety, which doesn't make it any better.

  24. Do a quick google for Old Forge Pa police arrested. The chief, captain and an ex-vol firman were all arrested w/in the last week for molesting the same 15 year old girl. I went to school w/ the capt and my family knows the chief. What a betrayal of trust!

  25. I agree with the above comments, predators go where there is prey.

I know most child related agencies try to do the background checks and so on, but how many check out a celebrity or athlete?

Those who abuse children, the mentally or physically impaired, and animals, should surely suffer greatly for the harm they do.

  26. Wow-love how everyone jumps from a guy being investigated for child porn to slamming the "religious right." It's just exasperatinng to constantly see so much hate. Hate haters, sure, but not all religous people who are conservatives "hate" anyone. I am Christian and consider myself on the right and don't like to be equated with anyone who claims to "hate." Christianity teaches, love, acceptance, turn the other cheek, and he who is without sin should cast the first stone. I may be a Christian, but that doesn't mean I am not a sinner-I openly admit I am a sinner and I sin every day. But I try to follow a certain set of rules each day, which I believe will help me to be a better, stronger person and will help me secure a place in Heaven when I die. That doesn't mean I judge anyone.

Please don't lump us all together. If this man is guilty of these things then I hope he gets his just punishment. But he hasn't yet been arrested at this point, has he? Anyone can make an accusation (just look at John Travolta-the guy "had the date wrong!")

My brother's grandson and his little friend (he is 6 and she is 7) were caught "playing doctor." It was at my brothers house when he was putting down his baby grandson with a book and the kids were in the living room. The girl told her father that my nephew "made her do it, held her down and covered her mouth so she couldn't scream." (By the way, I have watched this girl who is twice as big as my nephew pound the heck out of the poor kid, so I don't buy that he held her down with one hand, held her mouth with the other and managed to touch her privates with what...a 3rd hand??? But that didn't stop her father from reporting my nephew and he and his wife wanted my nephew ARRESTED for rape!!! When they basically scoffed at that, he had my brother investigated. 2 weeks of false accusations and the worker closed the case and deemed it unfounded. Oh-and the father threated my nephew that if he ever comes near his house again he is going to kick his ass-literally...that is what he yelled. They live NEXT DOOR!!!!

Anyway, my point is that evil people do evil things and try to put themselves in situations where they have access. Sure, many of them tell a good story about how "religious" they are, etc...but just because there are evil people in this world disguised as decent people, don't demonize everyone else. It is my experience that 99% of the people I know that volunteer in some way are NOT evil. Sure we have to watch out for those that would take advantage, but that shouldn't make you actually be "suspicious" of anyone who does want to do good.

    OK...off the soapbox now!

  30. Not sure if it's true or untrue. Chris Anderson had a terrible childhood, was abused, which unfortunately is not that uncommon in abusers themselves. if it's true i hope the law prosecutes him, however I think all these posts convicting him when we (joe public) really know nothing is sick.
People, it's clear from reading these posts that none of you have bothered reading anything beyond CDAN. A site that has consistently had blind items about child abuse, abuse of women, ect. Rarely does anyone call out ENTY for leaving these as blinds. But one paragraph of Enty's recap of the stories and sounds like you want to send him to jail immediately.
His lawyer issued a statement, link below. I have no idea if he's lying or this "tippster" is, but I'd like to think we can all have an open mind until there is at least some proof , not just police raiding his house. (note he's not been charged, and if police had found anything he would be.) http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_20603636/nuggets-center-chris-birdman-andersen-may-be-extortion

  31. The lawyer is sleazy. He owns medical marijuana shops in Denver, and Chris is his only big client. He will go to any lengths to make sure that his meal ticket is ok (like I said earlier he let him move into his home at one point). I don't think that Chris is into kids...but I know for a fact that he has screwed around with 17ish year olds.

  32. It looks like his head was photoshopped on to a comic strip.

I don't mind tattoos, really. I find them sexy on men but that is too much.

I don't see anyone outright convicting the man here. They're saying if it is indeed true, he should be put away for ever. And some posters with actual first-hand knowledge of the guy have offered some pretty damning anecdotes. So there's that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not really surprising. If you love and abuse food, you're probably going to show up at buffets. Same with pedophiles. I think our children need advocates in every child-centered organization, and most of them should be women. It seems that male-dominated organizations that tend to be misogynist in their very nature (the Catholic church, Sports franchises) are the places where you need to be really watchful of this kind of thing.

  37. Look. 'Caregivers' "Care". So check them out before you let them care for your loved ones. Be sure what they really 'care' about.

An inordinate number of caregivers have inappropriate feelings for the group/individuals they 'care' for. Not the majority, though.

Doctors, nannies, nurses, ministers and youth counselers/couches aren't exempt.

  38. Long time lurker, first time poster. I really appreciate most of the posters here but this thread is a bit too much.
I know Birdman..and not like I know someone who used to work with him. *side eye to truth fairy* He's been to my house several times and I've been to his. We've spent holidays together with a close knit group of friends. Chris is a really good guy. Great heart, great friend. He is NOT a pedophile. Yes, he had a very tough childhood but he put his heart and soul into basketball and I believe it saved his life. He is involved with children's groups and charities. He does it with the most honest intentions. He truly wants to help those less fortunate. He has never forgotten where he came from. Also, I've met several girlfriends of his over the past few years and they were all close to 30 years old. He is the victim of attempted extortion. I can't wait for the whole truth to come out. There's a good reason why he hasn't been arrested. He won't be arrested because he hasn't done anything wrong. Some of the comments I see on various sites are more criminal than Chris Andersen.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am calm. I'm just saying that the comments should be considered rationally.

There was nothing bigoted about the comments in this thread, thats my point. It was merely recitation of facts. It's funny how people of a majority group in the US, who are very vocal about their beliefs and the "rightness" of such, always complain about being the subject of bigotry, prejudice or scorn.

I am not saying that there arent really good hearted Christians (I know quite a few), but you cant argue that there arent a lot of very vocal racist, bigoted, and backwards thinking ones. Or people who identify as being of the religious right and decry homosexuality, yet engage in homosexual acts (as stated). Granted, you could probably say that about all groups, but they arent as visual all over the internet message boards and other media.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Lori-while I agree with your statement and cannot stand hearing from those who call themselves Christian being judgemental and bigoted. Nothing irks me more than when someone claims to be Christian and gives the faith a bad name.

But my main point is that the topic had nothing to do with the story. Also, my point was that false accusations can make news and smear someone's good name. My brother was accused and investigated too-but at the call of a crazed psychopath next door.

Just trying to keep everything in perspective.
