Sean Bean Was Arrested Again

Sean Bean is getting used to the inside of a prison cell. The Game Of Thrones actor was arrested in England and then released after being charged with harassing his wife. Apparently Sean sent her abusive text messages and threatening voice mails and was just being an all around nasty guy which is a shame because he is a great actor. He just seems to have a very difficult time relating to women which is probably caused by the fact he drinks way too much and has a temper. It's interesting that everyone tends to give him a break for his abusive behavior because they think he is so good looking and a good actor. The thing is he needs help and and I think most of his marriages have ended up in divorce because his wives are scared of him. This is a guy who has been arrested for getting into fights and until he gets help that is not going to change and I think someday some woman is going to end up really hurt.

  1. He is one of the few actors who isn't gay. It seems the straight actors are huge beating aholes, eg Sean Penn.

Alcohol and "anger management" aren't reasons or excuses for abusive behavior.

  5. Perhaps not an excuse, but a very common reason, I think. A lot of people I know can control their temper as long as alcohol is not involved.

Could you have found an older picture of the man for this article?

    You're ruining my crush!

  9. I always got a "beater" vibe from him - but had always put it down to him being SO good in "Scarlett." Maybe he wasn't having to act all that much... :-(

Maybe you need to grow up in a screwed household to immediately tell but he gave my body the shakes and not in a good way. I don't know why women keep dating then marrying him. Yes, they're ALWAYS charmers, fooling you and most everyone around you, and the acting is probably quite glamorous but how much proof do you need that he's not going to be good to you? Does he need to kill one of his wives for it to come across that he's bad bad bad bad news?

  13. You people forget that in the UK people are guilty until proven innocent. You can be charged with anything and you'll still be arrested. Across the pond, they act first then ask questions later in terms of arrests. Investigation occurs after the arrest and obviously they released him so he was cleared. People need to stop trying to apply US laws and procedure to other countries' laws and procedures because they are clearly quite different. Remember when Christian Bale was accused of abuse by his mom and sister, was arrested, investigation occurred, and he was cleared of any wrongdoing and was released? Sean Bean probably does have anger issues but to assume that he did wrongdoing after he was cleared and released is quite ignorant. I don't remember anyone saying he was a "bad person" whenever he knocked out the creep that was talking badly about his wife, got stabbed by the guy and his friends, chased them off, went back into the bar to finish his drink, and then received medical attention. I hate it when people are accused of abuse or rape and people automatically condemn the person without trial. Clearly he was investigated, cleared and released and still there are people on here calling him a horrible person. I hope nobody ever makes unfounded claims against you all while in the UK... then you'll understand how different laws, procedures, and even cultures are from eachother.

  14. @Carndog: The problem is when someone gets accused multiple times of similar things. I think SB is a very talented actor (and sexy as hell), but his blow-ups have come in public places, too.

I just hope he has someone near him who isn't enabling him and he gets the help he needs. Otherwise, he does seem doomed for bad things as do the people around him. I have a feeling, though, that he's more self-destructive than anything.

  15. not excusing Chris Brown at all, but I find it interesting that he gets labelled a woman beating POS, and Sean Bean just has a "very difficult time relating to women" and "needs help"...

  16. Yay, thanks Enty for givin' us some Sean Bean, no matter what it's about!

(Not that I condone his brutish behavior at ALL...)

I thought he and the new wife were separated? I read she's a jealous type, and the two just don't mix well, IMO--drinking/hot temper man and jealous woman.

I wish I could find a clip of that 2009-era Harrod's or Spencer's (or some Brit dept store) TV commercial where he's dangling a gift up saying "gifts from strange men." Ho-lee mother of fantasies that was HOT.
    OK, sorry, I'm digressing.

    (runs off to find hubby...)

  17. For the record, I hope Chris Brown gets help, too. Getting angry and denigrating abusers doesn't help anybody, as they themselves prove. There are options out there, but the only person who can change is the abuser who wants to change.

    (stepping off soapbox)

  18. This reminds me I am like 3 episodes behind. How about some news on Dinklage? He is my favorite on GoT

  19. @ Lori, I totally agree with you. I guess it all depends on how hot you are, and how much people like your movies.

  20. He's not been cleared yet, just out on bail while the police investigate. In the UK, the police can only make an arrest if there's evidence, but putting your harrassment in writing (text) is pretty damning. No mention of physical abuse though.

  21. Why do I always want to add "Cobain" after his last name? HA!!

    Sean Bean Cobain!

    There, I feel better now.

  22. @Lori i totally agree with u!

  23. I thought he and his wife got divorced? He got married again?

  24. @AKM - I don't think excuses are being made for him, I think the comment was made because alcoholism and temper are two problems that go from "bad" to "explosive" when combined.

@Camdog - calm down. Seriously. And FYI, if I (here in the US) were to accuse my husband of abuse, true or not, he would indeed be arrested and removed from our home until things could be sorted out, and everyone would pass judgement on him. "Guilty until proven innocent" and "Innocent until proven guilty" are just empty words in the court of public opinion.

This is the first I've heard of Bean's arrests and behavior, and it makes me very sad. I hope he gets help. Regarding the comparisons, I don't know if he has ever physically assaulted his wife (or past wives/girlfriends). Does anyone know? NO ABUSE IS EVER OK, but I see a difference between someone making threats and someone like Chris Brown, who beat a woman until she was unrecognizable. Again, Neither is OK, but words and fists are two totally different things.

  26. That's funny, MissJenny619! I was looking at his name and it felt like something was missing.

  27. Oh man, and I just recently got into Sean Bean. Now I'll have to put that away, because men who abuse women aren't even worth fantasizing about. :(

  28. So could the Blind Item rapist be Bean instead of Crowe? I don't think Bean is A list, though.

  29. This does sound a lot like a blind (5-6 months ago?) that the prevailing guess was Michael Fassbender. Anyone remember that one?

  30. One does not simply beat his wife...
    Sorry, couldn't resist.

  31. Not charged with no action being pursued. Thank you.
