Will.I.Am Keeps On Tweeting During The Voice

After last week's show in which will.i.am got in trouble by the producers of The Voice for Tweeting during the show, you would think he would be a little better at least. Right? Nope. He was worse. During the UK version of The Voice on Saturday night, will.i.am was caught on camera texting or Tweeting or e-mailing 16 times during the course of the show. Those were just the times the cameras caught him.

Apparently he doesn't care, which is fine, but for as much as he is getting paid you would think he could focus for an hour each week.

  1. But look at all the attention it got the show! I wouldn't be surprised if the producers told him to do it MORE.

  2. if he's getting paid, he should give his full attention. especially after getting caught. he should change his name to will.i.am.texting.

  3. Isn't he texting about the show? That might be very exciting to people who are following him. They can watch him live and interact with him on Twitter. I don't see what's wrong with it. If he's telling a contestant, "Oh, wait until I finish texting, then I'll give you feedback," then that's not right, but otherwise, big woo.

  4. WTF is the deal with texting? We saw the Avengers on Friday and there were 5+ people that couldn't handle sitting through a movie without checking their texts several times. Argh. So weird.

  5. @william You're a goober. Pay attention to what you're being paid to do and stop texting.

  6. I know I'm soooooooooooo 1995, but texting ain't my bag, baby. And, I annoy many in my inner circle because I refuse to text. It is a good thing when you are meeting up with people at a bar or something, but the constant need to send quasi-sentences to people. Just, why?!? I think it's super fucking rude, quite honestly, when I'm hanging with people and they are a slave to their cellie. Get a fucking life. I also think people who post every activity they are partaking in on Facebook/Twitter are total douches. I'm so Victorian, I know.

  8. No, I'm totally with you Susan.

The producers should confiscate the judges' cell phones before the show goes live. End of problem.

  9. It's not about reaching his fans on twitter and all that shiz it's about what is the most fucking annoying trend right now- THE RAMPANT NARCISSISM happening which makes people constantly in selfish ADHD form where they "NEED" to check twitter/fb/pinterest/failbook/etc. like every fucking second.

It's appalling. And I've seen it in classrooms, in movie theaters, in restaurants and everywhere in between.

I truly think this android and iPhone technology has allowed the douchey-ness and self-indulgence to come out in everybody.

  10. Well said Susan! I am the same.

  11. It sounds like his texting/emailing is overkill and he just isn't paying attention. On The Voice in the US, they don't show the coaches texting but once in a while they'll have a tweet from one coach to another teasing them about what is happening at that moment. I don't know if they are tweeting then or if they do it later.

  12. Amen, Susan and Jasmine.

  13. @Jasmine, yes yes yes.

Texting while driving, oh, that's my favorite. See it all the time, especially with kids in the car. Just great...

I'm no luddite, but I fucking can't stand this obsession with constantly being on the phone. So rude, so pointless.

  14. Why is bad behavior rewarded? He's a total no talent. Ever hear him sing live? Yikes.

  15. will.i.am is such a piece of shit. I watched the first few episodes of The Voice UK but had to stop because his behavior made me more and more angry with every second. He loves to flaunt his "influence" in the business, but seems to not offer his singers anything. All he would do is say stuff like, "When I worked with Michael Jackson" and "When the Peas and I had our 1st hit, then our 2nd, and 3rd, and 4th, and 5th, and 6th..." - those are verbatim things that came out of his mouth. And why is he on the UK version anyway? What exactly has he contributed to that country?

  16. I think one of the contestants should pull a Katniss Everdeen on him. That'll teach him to pay attention while he's supposed to be watching the contestants.

  17. I'm an avid texter and am working very hard at not touching my phone when I'm out. That said, I hate the narcissism twitter brings, celebrities post nonsense and they have millions of followers. Everyone has to stop following them.

I also am sick of the "friends" I have that update their fb status 5,000 times a day about every mundane thing in their life. I don't care how busy your day was, I don't give a shit what you're having for dinner and for the love of god, you're not fucking sick again, it's seasonal allergies.

  18. They don't fire him, so I refuse to get worked up about this. F*ck "The Voice" AND "Will I Am Texting".

  19. this guys is all talk, no substance...of course he's going to 'interact on twitter' (or however he justifies it), and play up the pr end...if not, he'd actually have a job to do--and he can't do it. there's no actual talent there. how else is he going to cover up that little detail? he knows fame doesn't equal talent. what he's not getting is that fame also doesn't justify that colossal disrespect.
