Jennifer Love Hewitt's Mother Dies
As close as Jennifer Love Hewitt and her mom were, her mom passing away after battling cancer has to be devastating for Jennifer. Patricia Hewitt was 67 and a statement from Jennifer's people said, "Her family mourns her loss. She was an angel to all who knew her and they are grateful she is now in a better place. They ask for privacy at this difficult time. No further details are being provided."
I feel real sad for Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad. My deepest sympathies to JLH and her family.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for her loss. Are you feeling bad about all the times you razzed her for living with her mother?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for her...I know they were extremely close..
ReplyDeleteAwww...her Mommie looked like a doll in that pic! Condolences to the family.
ReplyDeleteUrgh... I almost lost my mom. This makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteSo sad for her. My mom is roughly the same age. :(
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers...
ReplyDelete@Reno - yup, mine too. And as much as I rag on my mom here, what with the Dancing with the Stars updates and the excruciating medical reports, it would be devastating to loose her. Peace to JLH and her family.
ReplyDeleteShe was a total Mama's girl, so I'm sure her world has been turned upside down. So freaking sad.
ReplyDeleteJLH & her mom are about the same ages as myself & my mom. I would be devastated to lose my mother so young(ish).
ReplyDeleteAt least with cancer, awful as it is, you get to say goodbye to your loved one. Pretty awful way to go though. :(
*lose her* - words are tricky.
ReplyDeleteI lost my mom to cancer when I was 20. I feel for her. It is not something I would wish on my worst enemy to have to go through that. Sympathies to her and her family.
ReplyDeleteOh so young, I feel for you Jen....
ReplyDeleteOh so young, I feel for you Jen....
ReplyDeleteI hope she will get through this okay. RIP to her mother.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for her loss, but I wonder if she is now going to lose her mind
ReplyDeletePoor Jennifer. I can only imagine what she's going through. I wish the best for her and her family.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is my best friend, so no further explanation is necessary on this one. Good luck to you in what is undoubtedly a troubled time on your heart, Ms. Hewitt.
ReplyDeleteI lost my mom on Jan 7 at the age of 70 due to a pulmonary embolism. Losing her was completely unexpected. I know how close Jennifer was to her mom, so she has my heartfelt sympathy.
ReplyDeleteMay she rest in peace. I hope Jennifer gets the privacy she deserves right now.
ReplyDeleteMy heart and prayers to JLH and her family. OT My great-gram passed away at about 530 this morning-she was an amazing 98! I have to smile tho and say at least I have one naughty angel lookin out for me now. She taught us how to make pies, coffee and peace.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteThat poor family, my heart and prayers go out to them in their time of need.
ReplyDeleteOh no...poor Jennifer. This is horrible...my heart feels for her. I too will be sending Jen and her family my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteWow,she must be hurting badly as close as she was to her mom. 67 seems awfully young. Was she ill?
ReplyDelete@Aunt Jess, I'm sorry to hear that. But wow, 98! That's fantastic. We can only be so lucky.
ReplyDelete@Nerners, I'm sorry for your loss.
I rag on my mom too, she drives me crazy with her stories about the grocery store, etc but I couldn't imagine not having her. She's the kindest, sweetest person on this planet. It's obvious I take after my dad ;)
So sorry for her and her family. I also thought her mom was her manager and best friend. It makes the loss that much harder for her.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, lots of us and bloggers have made fun of JLH media antics, but girl has worked continuously I think since Party of Five. I never watched the Ghost Whisperer, but I love the Client LIst. It's a silly Texas fluff of a show, but cute. She has also seemed to keep up her body and face naturally, unlike most actresses her age. Good for her!
Sherry, it says she had been battling cancer.
ReplyDeleteI lost my father 7 years ago and lost my father in law last year. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of them. This weekend, our daughter graduates from HS and in her cap is a picture of both of them.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Not to be too philosophical about it all BUT I feel comforted by knowing know matter how old we are, we all feel the same. My grandma is 78 and we share the same pain as when I lost my father at 19. #WeAreAllConnected
ReplyDeleteMom's are so precious.
ReplyDeleteSorry JLH :(
My prayers for Jennifer and her family.
ReplyDeleteI said "oh no!" out loud when I heard this last night.
ReplyDeleteWhat a crying shame.
I feel badly for JLH. I hope she doesn't lose it. After my sister died suddenly I slid into a seven year depression. And let's face it, she seems sort of flaky to begin with. I hope she doesn't start drinking, doing drugs or acting out.
ReplyDeleteDeath never comes at a good time. If it comes quickly it leaves much unsaid. If there is time to say what must be said it comes at a huge cost in pain and suffering for all.
ReplyDeleteIt has been speculated here and elsewhere that JLH's relationship with her mother made it difficult for her to have long term relationship. As painful as this must be for JLH, I hope it sets her free to find the one for her.
I lost my mom at age 42, 20 yrs ago. It was brutal, took me 3 yrs to recover! And guess what? When she was alive, she drove me crazy, always wanting to know EVERY detail of my life- what I had for lunch, what time, etc. drive me nuts! Guess what? There is NO ONE else in the world as interested in tiny details of your lfe like your mom.
ReplyDeleteMy heart and prayers go out to her
My mom passed away six months ago after a three year battle with breast cancer that spread to her lungs. The first three months without her were unreal. Simple things were so hard. i miss her everyday. I hope jlh can get all the time she needs to greive in the way that feels right for her. I was blessed to have one amazing best friend who stayed by my side and helped me unconditionally. Everyone should be so lucky...
ReplyDeletePoor girl. I lost my mom last year (and she was even younger) and it's just so incredibly awful.
ReplyDeleteEnty, damn you. Now I'm sad.
Having lost both my parents by age 25 I feel for her. She was VERY close to her Mom. I am sure this will be especially hard on her. I am sorry for her loss.
ReplyDeleteOh Disco, I am an eegit. Thanks for being nice about pointing out the obvious.
ReplyDeleteAnd my sincere sympathies for anyone (Aunt Jess! kisses girl, Mango, Aunt Liddy, Ardleigh, Sadie, et al.) who's lost a parent. My mom drives me crazy too but I'm gonna cry my ass off when she's gone.
Thats so true about mothers/daughters my mom and i would bicker like crazy but now i would give anything to hear her pick at me lovingly once more.... thankyou for the sweet comment Sherry.

ReplyDeleteLike some of you on here, I lost my mother. It was 6 years ago today to cancer as well. She was also 67. Though "life goes on", no matter how old you may be, there is always a part of me that will always miss my mother. Every single day.
ReplyDeleteMy mother dropped me off at the airport yesterday morning and she said the ride back home felt lonely to her. Then I read about Jennifer's mom. Really puts it all into perspective.
ReplyDeleteR.I.P Mrs. Hewitt.
Oh, no...sympathy & hugs to JLH and everyone else who's lost their mothers. My parents are getting up there (Dad will be 81 & Mom 77 this year), and I worry all the time about them.
ReplyDeleteAs somebody who has no relationship with their mother (her choice) and who suffers terribly because of that loss in my life, I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a parent in death that you are close to - and Jennifer was closer than most it seems. Sad. I really envy all of you who have a normal loving relationship with your parents. My situation has fucked me up and I'm not sure I'll ever recover.
ReplyDelete@Elle
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about the shitty relationship you have with your Mom. I hope you find the strength soon to overcome your past, whether it be by your own accord or with the help of a counsellor. Your (idiot) mother is no reflection of your worth - remember that
My Mom is 67. We are extremely close, and if she died at this age I don't even know how I'd go on.
ReplyDeleteSo I really sympathize with Jennifer. Poor girl.
Here's the thing...when it co,mes down to brass tacks, I think all the readers here have their hearts in the right places. My condolences to Jennifer and to all the others here who lost a mom, young or old. RIP, Ma Hewitt.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked when I heard this. Poor JLH. RIP, Mrs. Hewitt.
