Liz & Dick Could Have Insurance Canceled Because Of Lindsay Lohan
According to TMZ, the production team of Liz & Dick had a bunch of trouble getting insurance for the movie because of its star, Lindsay Lohan. As in no company wanted to touch it or her. Huh. Kind of sounds like a guy who values his sexual health around Paris Hilton. Anyway, the company who finally agreed to take on the insurance said that no way no how could Lindsay drive anything, especially a car. So, what did Lindsay do from day one? Drive. Apparently the production company knew (which is why the SUV was behind her the other day), but didn't care until she got into an accident. Now, she is forbidden to drive. The insurance company now has the right to cancel the policy which would shut down the entire movie and cost everyone their jobs all because Lindsay could not be bothered to follow the rules.
Imagine that.
ReplyDeleteShe's never going to learn anything until she loses absolutely everything. Her family is the worst.
ReplyDeletePlease oh please oh please oh please let that happen. All I want is for her to hit rock bottom and find herself again. I don't know if it'll ever happen but I'd sure like it to so she can get back to the girl she used to be...
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but the odds of that are almost none. The girl with promise was already into sex and drugs and trouble at 17, so who knows when it really started.
DeleteAs she nears 30 her lifestyle would have been all sex, drugs, and rock & roll for as long as she was clean, and that was just her childhood. Lindsay has zero experience of being a sober and responsible adult. If she has had A sober day, it was in rehab or spent sick.

ReplyDeleteI imagine the conversation went something like this:
ReplyDeleteProducer: Linds, honey, we can't make this movie if you get into another accident.
Blohan: *sniiiiiiiff* Uh-huh, sure. Anybody wanna go to Marmont? I'll drive!
Producer: Lindsay you are not allowed to drive at all while we're making this movie.
Blohan: Sure. I'm really craving some french fries. Let's drive to Long Beach!!
Producer: Lindsay, if you drive any vehicle, we will not be able to finish this movie and you won't get paid.
Lindsay: Ok, sure. No problem. Hey, mom, you wanna go shopping?
White Oprah: Fuck yeah! You'll have to drive. I just did, like, three lines and I'm seeing, like, three of you, babes. Here's the keys.
Producer: Fuck my life.
Vicki - too funny and too real!
DeleteLMAO exactly.... exept instead of french fries its probly handfulls of pills she's eating.
DeleteVicki Cupper bahahaha! Love it. Too bad it sound so close to the truth!
DeleteHopeless. The girl is hopeless.
ReplyDeletesince nothing ever happens to this girl insurance won't shut it down.
ReplyDeleteFor some people, "rock bottom" with its resulting self discovery and life turnaround never happens. See: Amy Winehouse, Heath Ledger, etc. No one will be surprised if this happens to Lindsay.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't put HL in that category...Whitney yes, but Heath no. He wasn't a downright junkie like the rest of these people.
DeleteI wouldn't put HL in that category...Whitney yes, but Heath no. He wasn't a downright junkie like the rest of these people.

Delete@L'auteur so true...
ReplyDelete@Vicki Cupper-Fucking brilliant! Thank you for helping me start my day off with laughter...much needed and appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe anyone is that stupid or is it just delusional...
ReplyDeleteWaahaaha
ReplyDeletePriceless!
I'm not feeling it for the production company. Surely they knew? She's not going to play by any rules, and telling her she can't drive is just going to make her want to drive more and sideswipe more cars and run her car up the ass ends of more semis. They had to have at least an inkling of what they might be in for. I hope the insurance IS canceled and they can't finish that "movie" which is an abomination anyway.
ReplyDelete@Vicki Cupper: HAA HAA HAA HAA Thanks for the laugh. In my mind I could hear Lindsay's voice & could totally imagine her saying exactly that. Except with more sniiiiiiiiifs.
ReplyDeleteOh insurance company do the right thing & shut this "movie" down. You know she's going to screw up & you'll be responsible for it. Save yourself the money & aggravation.
I honestly don't know why ANYONE would hire this girl at this point. She thinks she is about following any rules set in place for her. She thumbs her nose at any authority. She can't stop partying. Rather I should say she won't stop partying. This girl is a mess & a total trainwreck. She needs help desperately but has thumbed any help people have offered.
At this point I have NO sympathy for her. She's been given WAY too many chances. People should just let her fall. At this point she isn't even worth helping. If she changes her attitude then maybe she'll be worth helping. This Lindsay is a total lost cause.
This isn't just because Lindsay wouldn't follow the rules, the production company didn't enforce them. She's in what, at least one car accident every three months or so on average? I don't feel sorry for the company, but I do for all the people who could lose their jobs. This production company sold its soul because having an accident and headline prone mess of a star was the only way they could get any buzz for this piece of shit movie.
ReplyDeleteWow, I am totally surprised at all of this. But she said she isn't partying anymore. She is a homebody. She never does anything wrong. She wasn't driving, her assistant was. The accident was the truck drivers fault, not hers. She's exhausted, don't ya know.
ReplyDeleteHow many rabbits feet and horseshoes does she have stuck up her ass? She must have stole all Sarah Jessica Parker's shoes for this kind of luck.
ReplyDeleteDidn't the movie finish filming already? If so, will this make a difference? If the filming is finished and it's now in post-production, is insurance needed? Anyone?
ReplyDelete@vicki - that was a good one!
ReplyDeleteYou mean like the rules of society? or Laws, or Judgements?
ReplyDeleteor Sobriety?
I have been around Lindsay here iw what I know. She thinks she is above everything and everyone. Rules do not apply to her, she does not have a drinking or drug problem, celebrities don't get punished and she does what she wants.
I can't really blame her though her mom pretty much taught her that from a young age.
Never thought I'd back any insurance company on anything, but this company's in the right, and they should cancel this production's insurance. Lohan is a menace to herself and others. She has been for years, and will remain so until she's confined behind four thick walls.
ReplyDeleteI hope they DO cancel the insurance....the stupid production company has been letting her drive every day?! They're enabling her, which only reinforces her "I don't have to follow the rules" attitude. Somewhere, somehow, there MUST be consequences. I swear, when this bitch finally kills someone Hollywood will have the gall to *gasp* and act totally shocked.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, when I saw the headline last weekend saying "Lindsay Lohan found unresponsive in hotel room" my heart did a happy dance. I was so disappointed to find that she still had a pulse. That's how sick of her I am.
I'd thought the car (was it a Jag or something?) had been leased for her *by* the production. She couldn't have afforded it on her own. Of course they knew.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, anyone who does business with her, be it a personal assistant, jewelry store, club, movie/tv production, insurance, you name it, deserves whatever screwing over she gives them. Play with fire, get burned.
ReplyDeleteUnknown, I remember the story of her at a concert and she just grabbed some chick's phone because she thought they were taking pictures of her and then she started talking to them and acting like they were all friends and shit. She's cuckoo for cocaine puffs.
ReplyDeleteSomebody should introduce her to Chris Brown.
COME OOOON INSURANCE COMPANY! Make this happen! Then she will be impossible to insure for about 3 years.
ReplyDeleteHell, I'm still waiting for the police to give the file to the DA and courts.
So an insurance company could come in and save us all from this hot mess? Please insurance company, please!
ReplyDeleteThey hired her for ONE reason only: as a publicity stunt. Now that reasoning is coming around to bite them in the ass, so I hope the entire project goes up in smoke.
ReplyDelete(Just feel sorry for all the other people who are trying to make a fucking living working on this mess.)
altho i'd feel sorry for the crew for losing their jobs, i REALLY hope the insurance company shuts this trick down. my mom worked for a corporate insurance company for decades (commercial liability, workers comp, etc) and they're ALL about risk assessment. It's their bottom line after all. Yeah, if I was on this crew, I'd be brushing up my resume and making phone calls to people I knew.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel sorry for anyone but the crew. The producers and the insurance company had to have known what they were getting into when they hired her.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, the network will just self-insure; the publicity they're getting from this is priceless.
ReplyDeleteI hope that whole fucking production collapses, and everyone loses their money. They deserve it for hiring this fucked up piece of shit.
ReplyDelete@ Vicki - you left out the part where she wipe her runny nose on the sleeve of her wardrobe blouse.
ReplyDeleteFuck the production company. They knew full well what they were getting themselves into when they hired this train wreck.
B/c production is so good at laying down the law especially based on what the bond company says. Please. Happens ALL THE TIME.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think the production company would put a clause in the contract with Lindsay that if the insurance was canceled because of her, she would pay for everything. Because, hell, we all knew something was going to happen.
ReplyDeleteI guess the production company had soooo much faith in her.
Insurance agent piping up, here. I believe they're still filming, so the insurance carrier could totally cancel the policy. In the event they *don't*, while production would still go one, if they needed to file a claim later, it would be denied by the carrier for violating the laws of the contract or material misrepresentation.
ReplyDeleteThe insurance policies these production companies take offer not only liability coverage against their crews, staff, actors, etc. negligence, but also financial losses from the loss of an employee (i.e. an actor breaks their leg, and cannot continue filming, causing production to be delayed two months). So, if they needed to file a claim because of Lindsay, no way would it be covered.
ITA - cancel the policy, end the production. This is a train wreck, anyway.
I'm always interested by the insurance side of the biz. I remember a few years ago, Lindsay actually WAS uninsurable - she could get zero work. That was right after Georgia Rule? Prairie Home Companion? One of those. Anyway, I believe she went a full two or three years without real work, then she got that spot in Machete (loved that movie) and that was her first real paid gig.
She'll get these low budget production company offers because the insurance is cheaper - less exposure. I mean, really...Lifetime? Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
I really feel sorry for the crew too. Those people are just trying to make their mortgage payments and have normal lives.I said it before in a father's day post, she is an agressive, self centered, egomaniacal, brat. Her father has the same attitude, the entitlement, the it's true just because I say it is, when it's revealed over and over again to be a lie. She's an entitled brat, and will continue to be until the money runs out and then she will have some tough thinking to do and reacess, if that's even possible for her. RDJ turned it all around, so there's hope for her. I suppose it depends on the person. And her celebrity no matter how dysfunctional is now worldwide so there will always be people wanting to party with her, offering her drinks, attention, johns and coke. She's been to rehab, she's been in trouble, she's had car wrecks, it's all "not her fault", it's all just her "trying to work" This is her second or third comeback and surprise surprise she's up to the same drunk/coked out shenanigans? She's Lindsay Lohan for Chrissakes. We're all a work in progress, so hey she's only human, and it's annoying to watch her throw away so many chances but it's a process. We'll see.
ReplyDelete@vicki cupper "Im seeing three of you babes" hahhahhhahha good one
ReplyDeleteThe production company might deserve this, but the crew doesn't. One person can truly fuck up many lives, so for their sake, I hope production continues, the hardworking crew gets paid, and I dont' care what happens after that to either the movie or it's "Stah".
ReplyDeleteI believe in compassion, but from here on out I'm saving it for hungry children, battered women and soldiers suffering from PTSD, not some self-entitled twit who is too stupid to take one of the many chances she's been given to turn her life around. She's going to end up on her back in Dubai getting pooped on for money, mark my words. Heck, she's probably been there done that. (Sorry - blame John Mayer for that reference).
Okay, I'll give Lilo credit for ONE thing: there's a good chance Dina didn't put her on birth control at 14 as Kris K did with Kim K so her 14 year old could have sex.
ReplyDeleteSorry, it was the only nice thing I could come up with.
Well, I called this one! Can't believe that the production wasn't shut down immediately after her accident.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the calls for the Insurance company to cancel the policy. They get the money either way but if they don't there is a good chance of having to pay out more money because of Lindsay. I'd pull out and just tell the producers they should have done a better job. It's the smart thing to do in a financial sense.
ReplyDeleteRDJ turned it all around but let's not forget, he is a really good actor. LL is not a good actor. She was a cute girl who got some lucky parts but that's it. Even if she cleaned up, she'll never have his career because he can act.
ReplyDeleteThe best she can be compared to is the Cory that is still alive.
I have been saying all along the real story isn't what happens legally or not to Lindsay but what happens to the Liz & Dick production given that production team members were on site and involved in the accident -- meaning it's clear Lindsay's accident was in connection with the production company's time, on its dime. First: trucking companies don't play around; they'll sue the Liz & Dick production and Lifetime for damages to the 18-wheeler. The Porche rental company won't play around; it'll sue the Liz & Dick production and Lifetime for damages to the Porche. That's already enough to shut Liz & Dick down before you even get to pesky questions about the production company's relationship with its insurance company. So much for "free" publicity for this thing.
ReplyDeleteAmy---good points! A Porsche renter's lawyer isn't going to screw around. And I'm sure there is an employee of that trucking company that has been LIVING for the excitement this kind of lawsuit can provide them.
ReplyDeleteAnyone wonder if the production HAS HAD long hours, since her accident? Not 85 hours in 4 days, or whatever, but long long days trying to finish before the lawyers show up?...I wonder.
What a loser..That's all I can say..That and Amen Vicky..yet another zinger!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure no one would do it for fear of getting a rep as a troublemaker in Hollywood, but would it be possible for a crew member who lost his/her job because of Lindsay's breach of the contract to sue her for loss of income?
ReplyDeleteeveryone knew that lindsay was the ass she is BEFORE they took the job. no one is surpried that she broke the rules, so no sympathy for anyone on the project.
ReplyDeleteI just wish Lindsay would party on the East Coast, New Jersey in particular, and have a run-in with that goon that clocked Snooki in the bar in Seaside Heights. THAT would be something to see!
ReplyDelete
