  2. I didn't know (until yesterday) that Nick Offerman is only 42 years old. Had him pegged as older.

BTW, if you want a laugh, go to his IMDB page and look at his profile pic, sans beard. I wouldn't recognize him.

  3. Funny, but I think that clip of Josh Groban singing Kanye's tweets on JKL a while back has it beat still.

I checked out the page you referenced - he's a fox!!

  7. It won't play for me. Goddammit, TBS.

  8. I love a man who can use a drill press.

  9. I swear, he is so much like Mr. Frufra it isn't even funny. Hubs got on the jumbo-tron "Laugh Cam" at our minor league baseball park, and got the most laughs by far by doing his dead-ass serious face. It was soooo Ron Fucking Swanson.

  10. I love how they let you watch the commercial but they don't let you watch the clip. I'm assuming it's because I'm in Canada. I can cross the border in 45 minutes, is it worth the drive? Anyone need prescription medicine?

  11. @Frufra - If I told my husband this, he would be so jealous. Ron Swanson is his idol. Unfortunately, he resembles Greg Evigan (B.J. & the Bear, the "cool" dad on My Two Dads) and on a short haircut day, Adam Levine sans skinny jeans and anorexia. He's cute, but I think he would rather look like Nick Offerman.

  12. @Popcorn - first off, YES to the new pic in honor of RS and Tammy 2.

Well, the looks are just what you get genetically, right? Tell him that a less-skinny Adam Levine is a good look, too - that would work for me!

The attitude, however - he can work on being more Ron-like. You can print the Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness so he has a handy reference chart.

It was just so damn crazy when Parks and Rec came on - it was like the writers had been spying on my husband. Uncanny really. He's even an indifferent government employee. And is very handy and can build stuff. And loves a good steak and whiskey - clear alcohol is for women on diets, you know. And although everyone he's ever worked with asks me "how do you live with this guy?", he's got a secret heart of gold.

But to my knowledge, Mr. Frufra doesn't have a secret second career as a jazz saxophonist. To my knowledge.

  13. HIlarious @Frufa. And I totally thought you were making up the pyramid!

  14. I used to be pretty good with a lathe knife. Not nearly as good as Mr. Offerman, I'm sure.

  16. The Pyramid of Greatness! Yes! I actually tried to win that poster for Mr. Sutton off NBC's website, but no such luck. I wanted him to hang it up in his office.

If you are anything like Tammy 2, you and Mr. Frufra should adopt me. I'm sure you both have always wanted a married 30 year old with a toddler. Isn't that the American dream?

  17. @ Pop - I totally want to be Tammy 2 with every fiber of my being. I'm pretty funny, some might say a little "unhinged" or "off balance", but I fear I'm short on evilness. I'll work on it and let you know :-).

But I have ALWAYS wanted to be a librarian - true story, no shit! I just thought about that!

How do you feel about sharing a room with a ten year old? He's a very still sleeper, and has a double bed! My God, I think it's a done deal :-). As long as the two year old's a hard worker. No slouchers allowed.

  18. He is so funny and one of my favorite things about Parks and Recreation. Actually I love everything about P&R, except for Rob Lowe.

  19. lilo723 - YES times 1000000. Parks and Rec is my absolute favorite show, but I can't like Rob Lowe's character because of how douchey he is in real life!
