Kim Richards Gets A Nose Job
I feel like it is a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills multitude of posts right now so might as well talk about Kim Richards and her nose job. Over at wetpaint they have the exclusive story about what she had done, but I also want to talk about the pain pills that Kim probably got after the surgery. See, I understand this bump on her nose was probably something that bugged her, but you know she did not go pain pill free after the procedure. Even when Kim was drinking like crazy she never stopped taking all of the pills she has. The surgery was just an excuse for more pills. Who needs the booze if you can just drug yourself up with pills. My issue is that perhaps the taking of more pills or a different kind of surgery would lead her to think that a drink would be ok or impair her judgment more than it usually is with all the meds. I remember that episode when she was telling Paul all the pills she takes. It was a huge list. Oh, and I think the before on the left looks way better than the after on the right.
I can't tell from that photo.
ReplyDeleteSober types who are serious about their recovery will take ibuprofen instead of opiates. It happens.
-her skin is stretched so tightly over her face it scares me
ReplyDeleteChrist, I don't watch any of the Real Housewives shows, but WOW she looks fucking awful. Like at least 10 years older than her real age. At least. I know that's what hard living does to you, but I can still picture her as a little girl and this is very disconcerting. *shudder*
ReplyDeleteWhen doctors prescribe pain pills to me, I have to demur and say, "No, I don't think that's a good idea." Although a dentist talked me into four oxycontins once, with a non-refillable prescription. I have to admit, that one day didn't get me back into active addiction -- but I was never a pill-popper. Now if he had been giving me a prescription for a bag of coke, that would have been a problem!
ReplyDeleteEmEyeKay, that's one lovely photo, by the way!
ReplyDeleteBecause the one thing Kim Richards really needed was a nose job.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, @Barton. I wonder if that woman is out of jail now? I bet she's superfamous in her little town, with her mugshot going viral.
ReplyDeleteI subscribed to the belief that pain pills wouldn't affect my sobriety since I had never abused them when I was using. BIG mistake. HUGE.
I know better now.
But her pre-surgery nose was SO cute and distinctive! now she just looks weird.
ReplyDeleteshe was so pretty! WHY would she get a nose job? was it collapsing from coke use?
ReplyDeleteEmEye - not that the subject matter is humorous, but liked the Pretty Woman reference.
ReplyDelete@Laura - I've got Julia Roberts on the brain right now and I can't be mad at anyone 'cuz I did it to myself! :) And hi, btw, haven't seen you here much. lately
ReplyDelete*much lately.
ReplyDeleteI can see why. The bump was prominent.
ReplyDeleteShe and Kyle both have a very strong bump in their noses--and some of the Richard's kids have it-I didn't think it was unattractive--interesting that she chose to do something about it. Is she trying to go back to acting again?
ReplyDeleteIf she is going through that kind of thing, she should just have gotten a lift or anything else she needs done.
She was looking very rough even with makeup last season. I think she is someone who has spent a lot of time in the sun and it really aged her (as well as her drinking and other substance problems).
She was on a LOT of medication for anxiety and depression and I would imagine any doctor who did work on her is aware of her issues. Hopefully she got on and off anything she needed asap.
I think coke nose too but a nose job taxes about six months to fully heal so it is most likely still swollen. I didnt realize it was her either.
ReplyDelete*sigh* Escape to Witch Mountain was a long time ago...
ReplyDeleteSomewhat OT, but last night a friend and I were watching Big Bang Theory. LOVE that show, and especially love Mayim Bialek on it. I think she's a really good actress, and her true intelligence shines through.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we noted that she is one actress who might actually benefit from a nose job. But from everything I know about her, she'd never do it, which is one of the likeable things about her. AND, it might completely change her appearance like it did to Jennifer Grey.
She must have gone to the same plastic surgeon that Taylor goes to. Both Taylor and Kim are morphing into scary clown faces that don't need make up to be scary.
ReplyDeleteHer nose is the least of her problems.....
ReplyDeleteAs I commented in the last post before I knew Ent had posted about this - her mouth augmentation is Fucked. Up. It's so unattractive. This woman has such severe confidence issues - so why didn't her family rein her in? And she most definitely does want more acting jobs, but as the adult Lilo, she's not going to be getting any more work. She's lucky Bravo signed her on for another season of RHOBH...
ReplyDeleteWhy...oh god...why? She looks like rubber lips. Did she get a lip job too. I LOVED her nose.
ReplyDeleteStupid women of Hollywood. Leave your faces alone. You all look so stupid after surgery. They would look better aging with grace.
Pssssh! Okay, I HAD a nose job and it's notorious for being very minor pain-wise, so I didn't even fill the pain pill prescription. I had the full shebang where they did a lot of tinkering up there and I literally took two regular ol' Tylenols while I was recovering.
ReplyDeleteOh girl. Get your self together.
@EmEye - HI! I hope all is going well in your world! I have been late to the party lately and have to power read the post and comments. Looking foward to things slowing down and to some award season commenting!
ReplyDelete@ figgy - OMG I *love* Mayim Bialik on TBBT but you're right. She's very steeped in her culture and she's very earthy and laid back, kind of a Birkenstock wearing, sleeping on a mattress on the floor kind of gal.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I'll never bother with plastic surgery. If Hollyweird has access to the best surgeons, and they look worse post-op, what's the point?
ReplyDeleteI totally thought the before picture was the after picture and the after picture was the before picture.
ReplyDeleteKim Richards, you're a moron.
I firmly believe that mental health evaluations should be given before being approved for plastic surgery. I think that most people who go in for the boob jobs, nose jobs, lip injections, etc., just need to get a hobby or take up a cause. Then, they would actually feel good about themselves.

ReplyDeletewhy are you sitting around talking about who needs a nose job on tv?
ReplyDeletenot to be a bitch....but is that where we're at now?
Oh, Prudence. And you were among my first wank material, circa 1973. I think we are the same age.
ReplyDeleteEnty, you are wrong about the meds she said was on. None were in the category of drugs that can be abused. As I recall she mentioned a couple of antidepressants that are often prescribed together, and what she called a "cocktail" of three drugs that are given after severe alcohol detox to prevent seizures. Antidepressants do not give you a high and have wicked side effects when you increase a dose. So,yes, she may have lied about what she was taking, but none of the drugs she mentioned are narcotics or fun to be forced to take.
ReplyDeleteBut point well taken about addicts and elective surgery. It does seem reckless in her case.
ReplyDeleteI can't recall the names, but at least two were anticonvulsants and/or neuroleptics, not classes of drugs that anyone voluntary takes to feel good. They make you feel zombiefied and hideous, in fact, if psych patients are to be believed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, my Dad's had some hellacious surgeries over the last 50 years but he's never taken more than naproxen or ibuprofen. Reason is he got mangled in a bad car wreck at about age 20 and, in the 1950s, they just shot you straight up with morphine. He got hooked and says withdrawal was so bad that he has never taken opiates again...even during a 50-week rotator cuff recovery in an airplane cast.
ReplyDeleteSo I truly agree with EmEyeKay--if one is serious about not taking opiates, it can be done after all manners of surgery.
About Kim, I thought her "original" nose was beautiful, but now this ski-slope shit looks awful, IMO.
IMHO her nose did not need fixing...she would've made better use of a chemical peel but if
ReplyDeletethe pix on the right is the most recent then her surgery really effed her up....now she looks more like KATHY HILTON and that's a BAD THING.
I do not see a dramatic change but it looks better. I would not be surprise if she is using the nosesecret nose reshapers
ReplyDeleteThis story would have been so much more impressive if it read: "Kim Richards gets a job".
ReplyDeletePopnursing: Ha! Good one!
ReplyDeleteKim is un-recognisable, she looked much better before. Why???
ReplyDeleteshe told Paul that she was taking Lexapro (anti-anxiety), Trazadone (antidepressant), and Topamax (an anti-seizure medication sometimes used to treat alcoholism or migraines).
ReplyDeleteShe should have used the money for the nose job to hire a stylist. Girl rocked that high-necked bow shirt one too many times last season. I will never understand when older celebs get nose jobs. You've lived with that nose for 40 years now...aren't you used to it? I'm on board with the coke nose guess, and she's just trying to pretend it was elective.
ReplyDeleteShe should have used the same plastic surgeon that her sister used for her nose job !
ReplyDeleteAnd really, like a nose job was going to fix her ???
She should have gone to a good hair salon to get rid of that hideous yellow straw on her head !
I doubt this chick spent $20 K on a great surgeon. That's how much for a really good nose job. Ask Ashlee Simpson !
