WHICH country singer – who’s had a tumultuous relationship with her duet partner over the years – recently married a man who she stole from her best friend? The singer’s new hubby is not only a serial cheater, he was also verbally and physically abusive to his ex-wife!
Wynonna
ReplyDeleteJennifer Nettles of Sugarland got married in November.
ReplyDeleteI guess Wynonna.
ReplyDeleteWynonna, with her famous duet partner being her mother. She didn't invite Naomi or Ashley to her wedding and now she is foreclosing on Ashley's dad's house.
ReplyDeleteWynonna was my first thought.
ReplyDeleteYes, Wynonna was my thought too.
ReplyDeleteI'm on that Wynonna train. She is so mule-headed that I can see her not wanting to listen to good advice from her friends and family
ReplyDeleteWynonna
ReplyDeleteI hate sugarland... I think her voice is horrible and very annoying.
ReplyDeleteWynonna. There is a betting pool on how long before the restraining orders fly at the Clerk and Master's office.
ReplyDeleteThe Judds
ReplyDeleteMiranda Lambert
ReplyDeleteWynonna Judd. She's crazy and that whole family is very dysfunctional.
ReplyDeleteThe Judd's. And can anyone explain to me why Wynonna looks like a cousin of Snooki?! She is as orange as hell, like he has been rolled in spray tan and Doritos.
ReplyDeleteDid you guys ever stop to think that the lawsuit against Michael Ciminella was the reason Naomi and Ashley didn't go to the wedding? Why would they not attend if they thought she "stole" someone else's man? (FYI, Wy is suing because she gave a quarter of a million to him for the house and he hasn't repaid her. He said it was a "gift.")
ReplyDeleteHaving personal experience with the Judds, Wy is the least crazy. Remember that all three (Ciminella, Naomi and Ashley all lied to Wynonna about who her father was. I think it's great she didn't have them there.)
Dunno anything about Jennifer Nettles' husband, but I will defend Wy and said it ain't her!
Wynnona for sure! BTW, like them or not Sugarland are lovely, lovely people in real life. :)
ReplyDeleteFYI, Jennifer Nettles is a mentor on "Duets." Just sayin'!
ReplyDeleteI am curious... how do you steal a man?
ReplyDeleteJust say what is true.
That the man left the previous female, to take off with another girl.
A girl who happens to be wealthy.
And can still generated an income, that he felt he could grow accustom to living with. :)
I just hate this on going argument that men can be stolen! When he roamed off and found someone else to hump.
And chances are he will roam off again in the future... and hump on another new female too.
Sorry, not Jennifer Nettles. She married my friend's cousin (and they are expecting their first baby!). Her husband might be a lazy but he's not abusive and this is his first marriage.
ReplyDeleteMy lovely cousin Jennifer Nettles, and she didn't "steal" him...
ReplyDeleteWynonna has awful taste in men.
ReplyDeleteGosh women, we need to put lo-jack on our men so that when the poor helpless things are "stolen" we can have them shut down until the police can return the poor little things back to us.
ReplyDeleteActually, except for the "duet" part, this does fit Shaninny Twat (if you consider her new marriage "recent") because her version of what happened is the opposite of what really did. Maybe someone is about to tell the truth (oh, please, Mutt, do tell ALL! tee hee)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Vince Gil and Amy Grant. They married under weird circumstances. Like both families were friends and they were best friends. Or, Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks. They were also duet partners and married under shady circumstances. There were rumors he was a wife beater and during all of the hoopla about his wife beating ways he put out that song against wife-beating.

ReplyDeleteAmy Grant and Trisha Yearwood stated that they were best friends with VINCE and GARTH, NOT their wives.
ReplyDeleteAlso, there were rumors of Garth cheating -- which he admitted -- but NEVER of him being a wife beater. Show me ONE article that says THAT.
Shania did one duet that I know of, with Brian White, and they didn't have a "tumultuous relationship." Don't think it could be her.
Who is the person here who is friends with Cactus? That person said he was awesome, so I don't know that he's abusive. Abusers often put on a public show, though, so only their families might know.
Come to think of it, I think this whole BI is bunk. Who else has a famous duet partner with whom she has a tumultuous relationship, after all? It would have to be Wynonna. That said, who started this rumour? The ex-wife might be the only one who knows. Is she talking? Does he even HAVE an ex-wife? Googling him says nothing about one.
False BI is what I think.
Shania also had a duet with Billy Cunningham (I think that was his name). Currington maybe.
ReplyDeleteGarth wasn't the one who was cheating; his wife was. And SHE was the abusive one. Everyone in Nville knows that.
Vince knew Amy Grant for a long time (try working in Nashville and not knowing everyone) plus they both love to golf, but I know for a a fact that they didn't DATE until his marriage was over. I know Garth, Trisha, Amy and Amy's ex, Gary Chapman. Gary's a nice guy but he got nasty for a time and that's what ended that marriage. Vince does have a quick temper, but as far as I know, it's usually only directed at bad golf shots (his golf buddies nicknamed him the Unibomber because you knew he'd blow up, just didn't know where or when... LOL)
PS: Garth met his first wife when he was a bouncer and was called to the women's restroom, where she was beating up another woman. True story.
ReplyDeletePart of my dating questionnaire that I'm putting together (to avoid all of the pitfalls) is gonna be, "would you be willing to have a tracking chip installed so that if you are stolen, I can find you easily?"
ReplyDeleteOf course, I'd have to actually be dating for that question to be relevant.
@Lola: LOL!
ReplyDelete@Lola: You can call it the ManJack ;-)
ReplyDeleteIf she was a real best friend, she'd know exactly the kind of guy he is and would have stayed away.
ReplyDeleteIf it is Wynnona, it would explain why her mother and sister were not at her wedding--or not invited to her wedding. They would certainly know the guy's history and would not have been supportive of Wynnona marrying him.
ReplyDeleteYEARS ago (1989/1990- probably before some of you were even born, LOL) Garth was instrumental in getting Trisha Yearwood's solo career off the ground after she'd been a back-up singer for him. Rumors of a torrid affair between them were RAMPANT at the time, but they always dismissed them, saying they were simply close friends. Of course, a decade later when they started pubicly talking about how their great "friendship" magically morphed into a romance, it coincidentally coincided with the exact moment that both of them were finally single at the same time. Take from that what you will.
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, this blind is clearly SUPPOSED to be about Wynona, but knowing exactly zero about either the official OR gossipy version of how it came to be, I'll take a pass on guessing it's truthfulness.
The "it" of "how it came to be" meaning her wedding.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the girl from lady antebellum? Didn't she get married recently
ReplyDeleteI remember someone on CDAN posting that they actually knew Wy's new husband and that he's a super nice guy, so I doubt it's her.
ReplyDeleteAmy Grant and Vince Gill were married in 2000. Hardly recent. And BTW she doesn't love golf. She was obsessed w Vince and learning golf was a way to get closer to him. She acknowledged that in an interview long after they were married. Her favorite outdoor pastime is cycling. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the Lady Antebellum singer got married in Jan 2012. Could be her. She first met him through mutual friends in college. Hmmm. I hope the abuse part is untrue. :(
ReplyDeleteSort of off topic, but Wynnona Judd and Lisa Marie Presley have very similar eyes. The two should do a DNA check for a common ancestor. I'm not suggesting Elvis as Wynnona's bio dad, since for many reasons that's absurb, including Wynnona's bio dad having been identified. But it would be interesting to know if they shared a common great-great grandparent or whatever.
ReplyDelete@nunaurbiz - Everything you've said RE: Garth/Sandy/Trisha and Vince/Janice/Amy/Gary is everything I always heard when I lived in Tennessee as well. I'm not sure how anyone could even guess those folks. Nothing in the blind adds up to anything they've done.
