Random Photos Part One

Three parts today.

Lots of celebrities were out yesterday to see Roger Federer beat Andy Murray at Wimbledon.
I'm pretty convinced David Beckham got suspended from the MLS on purpose just to go to England with the family. He was at Wimbledon with Victoria in the royal box.
Also in the royal box were Pippa and Kate Middleton.
Anna Wintour was there.
Ronnie Wood looks happy because he heard they are serving jello.
Rupert Murdoch and his wife were there too.
Even Dr. Who was there.
Not there were Prince Harry and Prince William who went body boarding on the coast.

That is THE hottest picture I've ever seen of David Beckham, wow. for some reason that facial hair is working on him. I even like his wife now after reading that funny reveal about her.

Pippa Middleton, though, is annoying as all get out.

Ronnie Wood is just hilarious and looks like he's lovin' life.

The Wimbledon final cost $18,000 per seat. That is criminal. Altho it was a tough call for me, I'm glad Roger won - he's nearing retirement age, he's been on a losing streak, he beat Novak, yay.

I've never had anything against the Middleton sisters until yesterday. Naturally, there were numerous cut always to close ups of them in the box - they just came across as simpering and irritating. I wish I could put my finger on it.

I'm glad Federer won. He played so well yesterday and truly earned and deserved that championship. I feel sad for Andy's disappointment, however he played some of the best tennis he's ever played in his life. But the better man won.

Pippa is a media whore and for some reason the English press love her. She very much a butherface in my opinion. She also strikes me as someone you wouldn't leave your boyfriend alone with...:D

Kate Middleton looked miserable watching yesterday's match. With every cutaway to her, I was wondering if royal life is getting to her already and she was ready to go down the Princess Di route.

I really admire the Middleton sisters for never, ever speaking to the press. The only times we've heard Kate's voice is when they announced the engagement, when she recited her vows & when she gave a speech at a charity hospital. Period. In almost 10 years in the public eye. She learned from Lady Di's mistakes. Diana Spencer was the first reality TV star. Which is a dead end if you wish to remain sane. Time Magazine had an interesting take on the Middleton girls. They are the Mona Lisa's of the Western World. All anybody gets from them is an enigmatic smile. How much discipline do you need to never get mad and never say a word while being photographed every second of your public existence?

Pippa's dress is horribly ugly and the jello comment is too funny

Is it body boarding the same as boogie boarding?

I love that you inluded Matt Smith - Thanks Enty!

Game, set and match. Catherine is infinitely more beautiful and stylish than her sister.

P.S. I also appreciate a bit of Matt Smith in the photos.

Kate...that dress...just no...the Libra in me hates those dresses. Same goes for her sister's dress.
Why is pippa famous? and wtf is up with her name?

I still have hope with Harry.

I would like to say Ronnie Wood has a beautiful daughter but something tells me that is probably his date. Blech!

Somewhere out of frame of that shot of the princes is a platoon of SBS squaddies.

His name is not "Doctor Who"! It's just "The Doctor". Thanks for the picture, though, Enty - say what you want about his face, but there's no denying that Matt Smith has fucking swag.

Lmao @ the jello comment! Good one, Enty. ;)

Wish the photo of the princes in their wetsuits was a frontal...not that this angle isn't good, too.

I love Doctor Who. Watch it religiously. Matt isn't my favorite, Tennant is...but he's a close 2nd. Partly because of his dynamic with his companions.
I don't get this fascination with Pippa either. I think she pales in comparison to her sister. I suspect it's been drilled into those to when in doubt shut up.
I dunno why but I love seeing Posh & Becks together.
I really like Federer, but I wanted the Scot to win one at home. He has several years in him though, so hopefully he's back there next year.

Pippa looks like a train wreck. WTF is with that dress? It looks like one of my niece's nightgowns. Kate looks nice, though.

I wish the media would give up on the idea that the Middleton girls are style icons. They dress like any number of girls from the Kings Road area, in styles that have been around for decades. And enough with the eyeliner already.

I watched Ronnie Wood being interviewed in an early episode of Top Gear recently and became increasingly irritated with him. Most of the Star[s] in a Reasonably Priced Car come across as funny and/or approachable, but Wood just seemed so smug and full of himself. The whole interview left a really bad taste in my mouth.

I love the Doctor! Great to see a picture of him.

I want Prince Harry. :)

Becks is channeling a Clint Eastwood western with that mustache.

And Pips looks positively Hyacinth Bouquet!
Dress Barn doesn't even sell stuff like that.

Why the hell is Rupert Murdoch not in jail?

WUWT? said...

Csproat, It's Hyacinth Bucket, it only gets pronounced like Bouquet.

@HI - I think Harry is a looker too. I will fight you for him. ;-P

Pippa probably derives from the 1841 poem "Pippa Passes" by Robert Browning; apparently the main character is the embodiment of sunny optimism, ala Pollyanna. Ha! (The town of Pippa Passes, Kentucky is named after the poem, too.)

Her name is Philippa. Good god. Do you not have nicknames in your area?

When the two princes were growing up I remember William being so much cuter than poor, unfortunate looking, Harry. MY HOW THE TIDE HAS CHANGED!....Harry is THE hottest friggen ginge I've ever laid eyes on. Now Wills is the unfortunate one. Starting to look like his dad, ugh.....

@fancyscreenname: "The heir and the spare," eh what?

@WUWT?
Thanks for the spelling correction
