Not the funniest. But I love Steve Martin.
I'll go hang out at Steve Martin Park.
If Steve is there it's all good.
Oh wow Dave has aged, lol
Ive read many times steve martin is a huge dick. Anyone?
I think Steve Martin just doesn't give a shit about anyone's opinion. I think I heard that on an SNL documentary. OH gosh it's half coming back to me. I think when Norm MacDonald was fired Steve did something nice. I think Steve Martin does have a healthy ego, but he just loves what he does and he really is great at it so he doesn't fall for bullshit. Like when he did a talk at some college and they cut him short bc he was only talking about the art book he just wrote and came on to promote instead of his comedy career which wasn't part of his agreement. The Jerk is forever a favorite.
I love his response to autograph seekers. If you think about it autographs are kind of stupid. Do you really need signed proof that you met a famous person? Just talk to them instead. Anyway once Steve Martin became famous he had business cards printed up that read "This certifies that you have had a personal encounter with me, and that you found me warm, polite, intelligent and funny. Steve Martin"
And that's what you get if you ask him for an autograph.
oh yeah I heard about those cards, I thought it was a joke! He tweeted me back once. To me that's better than an autograph (and I love autographs) bc he responded to a question I asked him. I'd be a crazy mess in person so twitter was perfect
