Blind Item #1

What A+ list singer chained smoked joints and did shots during a recent interview because she knew that the A+ list interviewer would not say a word about either and would pretend everything was normal.

  2. rhianna thinks she will be on top of the world forever. She must not notice the heap of has been singers that would do anything for a second chance.

I can't wait until she is reduced to some reality show that make her jump through hoops.

  3. If this is Oprah, this is worse than her kissing the K family's collective ass.

  5. I mainly know about Rihanna because she's such a tabloid/BI staple. Did she achieve anything other that Umbrella song and the duet with Eminem? She was great in the Digital short - Shy Ronny - on SNL but was appalled by her live music performance. All about squatting with open thighs and dead glazed eyes.

  6. @tara17 - If you listen to Top 40 radio, then you will constantly hear Rihanna songs. Enough people like her to still make her a hit artist. She just keeps putting out song after song. I hope she takes a break soon.

  7. {sigh} Rhianna. I still remember how awful she was live on the Grammy awards with "Love the Way You Lie" - incapable of singing in tune. Now it makes sense. Stupid girl, you are so lucky, it can all disappear so fast.

  8. Oprah's rep has def been hurt due to OWN's struggling ratings. I am sure she thought that the success of her talk show would automatically carry over to OWN. The only time the network has any decent ratings is when she is featured. Unless she is willing to provide multiple shows featuring herself, the network has no chance of long term success. The 2 Part Kardashian lovefest is evidence of how fall she has fallen and how desperate she truly is. She would be better off to continue with her magazine, get supporting roles in high quality movies on screen and HBO and perhaps some type of deal with ABC to provide celebrity driven specials throughout the year a la Barbara Walters. At least then she might be able to hold on to whatever credibility she has left and keep her profile/name in the limelight.

    Oh, recent:)

  11. Eric, YES to that but her ego is too big. I'm almost sorry to say but I like her fall. She needed to be humbled, yeah you can tell I don't like her, haven't since the Hermes story years ago. She cried racism because she and her entourage couldn't get in the store - which was closed. She fought by saying there were other people in the store, yeah they got there before closing and were finishing up. Don't you know who I am and an inappropriate racism card in one fell swoop = throw up in my mouth.

  12. Whats was Oprah supposed to say! I dont think Rhi would of cared anyway! I heard so many stories of artist being all fucked up during interviews im surprised it doesnt come out more!

    ReplyDelete
  13. If Oprah wants to boost her ratings, she should def expose Rihanna. Oh but wait, then all her celeb friends wouldn't trust her.

Maybe she should just spill all the dirt she knows.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I was going to say Gaga

    ReplyDelete
  15. @Cryscee Cool she has more hits because that does justify her media presence. I don't think she can actually sing though. Her voice is autotuned more than Britney's (who is actually talented imo). Skylar Grey's version of Love of the Way you Lie is amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Cryscee, is she spills on them, they'll spill on her. Can't have that.

  17. I feel bad for the Big O. She took a chance and failed. I still like her mag, which is a hell of lot cheaper now that her show is gone. I don't think OWN is going to see 2013.

Besides, if RiRi was smoking weed, you know the Big O was drunk. The Big O loves her cocktails.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I like RiRi! Girl, g'on.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I actually like RiRi and her music. Yes, I know I'm probably in the minority here. But I'm a geriatric raver, so what can you do.

If the girl wants to be high all the time, fine. Seems to work for Snoop Lion.

    2. I was half-joking. I think it's written in the middle-aged woman's handbook that at some point you will have a girl crush on Oprah. She was a major trailblazer and struck me as a very compassionate person for many years.
And she gave us this little gem:
      My va-jayjay is painin'

  23. I bloody hate that Rhianna. She's nowhere near as good as me!

  24. Taylor Swift and Ellen Degeneres.

... I justed wanted to be unique.

    ReplyDelete
  25. My first thought was Lady Gaga, but Rhianna is the more likely candidate.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anonymous12:27 PM

I say go Rhi. How many times a year, month, week does this happen with a male star during an interview and not even be blind worthy. Why do we allow our male rock stars to be rock stars and worship them as such but turn around and require our female stars to take the reluctant "i cant help it im so talented" route, while they prattle on about future children and their mean baking skills?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Just before I sat down at the computer, I heard the commercial for "Magic Mike" on TV and asked my daughter who does the song-I love it! Can't believe it's Rhianna because I thought she sucked on the Grammys. She is awful pretty, though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Have you noticed that if you listen to Top 40 radio, if it isn't Rhianna then it's someone who sounds like her? Or it seems that way anyway.

I was totally kidding. I used to love Oprah and I still have loads of respect for her, but something about her in the final season or two started pinging my BS radar. I admire her dedication to perfection but it sounds like if you worked for her you may as well kiss any personal life goodbye

    ReplyDelete
  32. All rhianna has to do is take a good look at agulara. Thats where u headed honey.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And continuing to hijack with Oprah comments:
Did anyone see the SNL where they did the Oprah's favorite things show? They kept cutting to "Oprah's" audience of hysterical middle-aged white women and at one point one of their heads exploded? Giggle giggle

    ReplyDelete
  34. I saw a picture of rhianna driving oprah in a jeep. I don't think oprah would knowingly get in a car with a drunk/stoned driver.

    ReplyDelete
  35. As a middle aged (some might say beyond middle aged) woman, she always hit my BS radar. Just too full of herself. I don't need some wealthy woman (or man, for that matter) telling me how to have a better life.

And frankly, that vajayjay thing just makes me sick. I've never cared for cutsey terms for anatomical parts. I just had my Sunday drink - maybe it's the alcohol talking....

  36. Celebrity is just a big exclusive club. I'm so tired of the attitude and entitle-ism. But unless we, the "regular people" take a huge stand and boycott...we only have gossip for our schadenfreude fix.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Susan B
I think we are on different wavelengths today. I'm saying all this in a tongue-in-cheek way, but I don't think it's coming across. I hate all that vajayjay stuff too, but when Joel McHale showed it in loop on The Soup whenever he wanted to make fun of Oprah it made me laugh
Enjoy your cocktail! I'm having a rough one so my glass of wine might make an early appearance :)

  39. @msgirl, YES what you said about the store and humility. YES! She had people on who wad been in true racisl conflict and spoke about it in magazines after the movie 'Crash' was released. She had the [personality disorder] to refer to it as her 'Crash Moment.' As if she was trembling from the oppression. I was stunned and she fell right then for me. Stores won't let me in all the time after they close, Im cool with it. I roll on by without talking to the tabloids. Also that pink ball gown with the earrings, omg, at her school, no one in her company must have had the guts to say, are you kidding? No. No, let me save you from yourself.

  41. @sunny - I picked up on what you were saying :), not different wavelengths at all. Just tired of ANY reference to worshipping at the shrine of ANY celebrity. Probably the gigantic vodka/tonic my husband made me - easily the equilivent of 4 normal vodka/tonics. Maybe 5. That's what we do on Sunday afternoons. Silly, I know.

  42. isn't it funny how some people achieve fame. I'm not the biggest Oprah fan but you can see her path and the hard work and years put in. And then her is Rihanna, some singer out of nowhere who is a household name in a very short time.
She can sing and is pretty but so are thousands of other women out there....truly just very, very, very lucky...too bad she doesn't seem to appreciate that.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @SusanB I want to visit the shrine of your husbands bar-tending :)

I don't think you are stating anything about the Big O that hasn't been said before.

I knew a couple of people who worked for the Big O back in the 90s and said she was "cold." Not that she was cruel or anything, just very private and distant.

I think that is true for a lot of charismatic people. They have a role to play and do. It's not really being fake, it's just self-preservation. Everyone must think they are the Big O's best friends.

I know of a few well-known college professors like that. Amazing teachers, but not people you could get close to.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks Henriette. At the time I wasn't willing to devote my life to the Big O or her show. I felt like Dorothy when she discovered the Wizard was just a man behind the curtain. Reality was really different than the dream. I remember two rules of Harpo - no gum! and must call her Ms. Winfrey, never Oprah.

She is still a role model for me - super smart, sassy business woman. Look at how many people are reading books again! I have a lot of respect for all that she's acheived. I don't know why she doesn't retire and enjoy herself. Lord knows she earned it.

When you see posts removed, it's either because a commenter's phone double or triple posted and deleted the extras, or because a commenter deleted a post of their own that they didn't care for :)

  53. Silly RiRi owes her entire career to the autotune and the fact that she has a huge ass at a time in popular culture when any woman with that asset, regardless of talent, can become a celebrity for it. Chicks named "K" perhaps? One day Ri will wake up, as will the others, and just be fat.

  55. 1. Ok. Hermes store is NEVER closed for those with money. Period. End of discussion. A billionaire not allowed to shop? WTF world do YOU live in? LOL. They chose NOT to open for her.
    2. Ms Forehead (RiRi to you) makes Christina look stable. Oprah softballs all, so softballing Pon da Forehead is no shock or nothing new.
    3. Hate to see Oprah's network struggling, but she knows well - you fail only to get more success. Not worried about Ms Winfrey. Nor does one need to hate - she's struggled plenty previously. It's not as if she needed some 'hard times' today. She's familiar, thanks.
    4. Did I mention that Pon da Forehead went kookier once a-Bey and Jay were totally official? Yeah.

What does that mean about Rhiana? She went nuts when Bewolf and Jay Z got married? Were the rumors about her and Jay Z true?

  59. Kristen Stewart when she was interviewed by Dennis Hopper and they were doing acid (flashback explains her behavior of late)? Don't argue with me. She sang in a movie - about a half minute in "Into the Wild" - but she did sing.
