Joan Rivers Gets Tossed From Costco In Handcuffs
Costco has banned Joan Rivers' book despite it being on the NY Times bestseller list. So, Joan did a little publicity stunt at a Costco in Burbank and got thrown out and handcuffed in the process.

Did her face fall off in the process?
She's hilarious. Why doesn't this kind of thing happen at my Costco??
Why is it being banned?
She is sooo mean. I liked her until she went after Annie on Celebrity Apprentice. She wasn't funny at all.
Oh Joanie. The original loud mouthed bitch! You go girl! Sell that "good book to sit on the toilet and read". Haha.
*karen* - apparently there are some risque jokes on the back of the book or on the book jacket that Costco didn't like.
Cake, Joan was vicious on the show, but Melissa acted worse, IMO.
Joan is a legend she can say and do whaterver she wants !
Thanks, @califblondy!
go Joan!!!!
Joan got vicious because of that other woman who was the poker player. Manipulative bitch. Team Joan.
I grew up with Joan and going to the Catskills during the summer, Brooklyn Jew here, so I tend to give her a pass.
I love Joan. She is quick witted and has prospered in a man's world for forever. She also isn't full of her own shit. She throws punches but can also take them.
She still makes me laugh. She busted down the door for many females in comedy.
The fact she thinks this is a First Amendment issue, however, is ludicrous. *sigh*
Supposedly she made the cop crack up laughing as he escorted her out.
Agree, Mary Ann. The thing that bothers me about Joan is that she has more money than God, practically, and yet she is always poormouthing. Gets old. Also that tagalong daughter of hers, oy.
Love Joan!
Apparently, this resulted in an immediate bump in sales for her book. Shrewed marketing, which was probably her ultimate intent.
She is so embarrassingly hilarious on Fashion Police. So funny. Author of great books? Nah.
I love Joan, and it seems like she got what she wanted out of the trip to Costco. Exposure and better sales.
She is a very funny lady!
I love this B*tch...I'm dead serious too.
Did she show her membership card?
Love Joan
Joan is Classic.
