Randy Travis Busted For Drinking In Front Of A Church
What is the deal with Randy Travis and his prevalence for getting drunk outside churches. Just like rest stops are places for stranger sex, apparently churches have become the "in" place to get hammered. Randy Travis was arrested early this morning after police found a very drunk Randy fighting with another man in front of a Texas church. Randy was the guy who started it. Probably someone made a joke about his life becoming a country song. The good news for Randy is he had all his clothes on this time when he was arrested.
Oh Randy.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jesus turned Randy's water into wine?
ReplyDeleteWas the a gay cruise gone awry? Church property IS pretty quiet at night....
ReplyDeleteI think his drunken rages come from the fact that he was born without an upper lip and with a bulbous head.
ReplyDeleteIt's just that it keeps being churches could mean a church lot is the new park restroom.
ReplyDeletethat's what I mean...anyone know whether that's true?
Man is in the middle of a meltdown. A 72 hour psych hold would be a blessing. Maybe even a 30 day in patient, involuntary commitment might be in order.
ReplyDeleteDid he get drunk in front of the church or did he drink and drive his way there?
BAD GRAMMAR! BAD!
ReplyDeleteMy apologies.....
Dude is the country love child of Britney and DMX.

ReplyDeleteThis is a local event in Dallas. The news report is it was a domestic disturbance the he got involved in because apparently the wife is his new girlfriend. Someone needs an intervention stat.
ReplyDeleteAnd it was a different church than the previos incident. He is not a member of this church.

ReplyDeleteat 4 AM ?
ReplyDeleteThey tried to make me go to rehab and I said no, no, no ... I'll go to church instead.
ReplyDelete@ureallyannoyme - you're right - a psych hold would be a blessing for this guy. Obviously he's way out of control.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read it was Plano TX I knew it had to be Prestonwood Baptist Church. They have 31,000 members & the main hall seats 7,000. That place is insane. They have 3 full service restaurants on site. It takes a crew of 12 just to manage parking on Sundays. If there is a second coming that place gets hit with the 1st lightening bolt.
ReplyDeleteChildhood church issues. Molested by the preacher?
ReplyDeleteAlcohol is a helluva drug.
ReplyDeleteSo sad that his demons have come back and are getting the best of him.In the 80' s and 90's, his life and, subsequent, music reflected triumph over addiction and poor choices(he had been in juvie) and his music was hopeful and fun. Hope he can overcome his fallback into self destruction. Back in the day, Travis and Strait were kings of country and made my school girl heart all twitterpated.
ReplyDelete@txtommom: I doubt they're going to let him join after this.
ReplyDelete@LAzyday I knew it too. I went there for an Easter service just to check it out, I almost barfed. Hypocrite central better known as Six Flags over Jesus or the BaAptistdome.
ReplyDeleteAh, Hazelden -someone is calling your name.
ReplyDeleteLazyday, based on your post, it appears that you are saying the church is evil because it is large. Is that the case? If so, why does its size annoy you so much?
ReplyDeleteI am a member of a "megachurch" myself, so I am curious as to why a church's size makes it a prime rapture target.
Lakewood, by any chance? They're pretty big. I did see a drive through prayer chapel nearby
DeleteSomeone get randy some help.
ReplyDeleteI like how he is wearing scrubs, of all things
ReplyDeleteThat picture was from when he was arrested drunk and naked so the cops got him paper clothes lol

Delete31,000 members? Everyone in town must be a member.
ReplyDeleteBrenda- Plano isn't the hicksville part of Texas- it's a giant suburb of Dallas with almost 300,000 people.
ReplyDeleteI personally don't understand the appeal of these megachurches but at the same time I don't see them as inherently hyprocritical.
Remember when he was a mentor on Idol? And he was reeeeeeally awkward with Adam Lambert, going on and on about men wearing makeup & nail polish? Yeah, I thought then and I think now "classic closet case".
ReplyDeleteI'm too lazy stupid tipsy to do a clickable link but here it is. Really really awkward.

I have very reliable source who has met Randy Travis' boyfriend on numerous occasions. The first meeting happened long before the divorce from his wife. It's a well known secret in Nashville.
ReplyDeleteThe story I read today said he was clean and had come to the aid of a woman arguing with her husband. He was given a citation and sent on his way.
