Don't Speed In Your Boat

  1. Dunno what the sound had to offer, but it was funny, muted.

And also: don't speed in your boat? Aren't they called... speedboats?

  4. I'm embarrassed to say I lol'd at that, but it's SO not funny. I feel bad, some of them were actually injured. Still, the video is a little amusing. I wonder what Kate Upton would look like in a video of the same, doin' the ole' Cat Daddy and all....

  6. Long time lurker, first time poster. Was this a boat of models???? What the hell were they looking at?? Even I saw that boat pass them...hey darhlings, it's more important to look good than feel good....

  8. Hold on!!! That's all I kept thinking. Shit has got to hurt.

I see boats all the time acting fools in the sound behind bigger boats wakes, it IS dangerous people. :) but fun!

  9. Tis why I prefer to, "take it easy."

You can see once everyone started to fling about, they were out of control.

  10. I can't figure out what the driver was doing. And sit down people..safety first and always. This was crazy. Was this a PSA for what not to do in a boat? Glad nobody was seriously hurt but..wow!

  11. And none of these idiots were wearing life jackets.

  12. Those of you who have laptops, freeze frame the video at about :35 and see how far you have to tip your screen to get the horizon line to actually be horizontal. It's like 55 degrees.

They're lucky they didn't flip the boat entirely and/or lose people over the side. Not that smashing your face on the side of the boat is a lovely consolation prize.

Iiiiiiidiots. Well, one idiot, at least. Who the hell taught this guy how to drive a boat?! Hey, don't drive into big wakes at 45 knots. That doesn't seem so hard to remember, especially on a lake. I can't really fault a passenger who probably didn't think they needed a 4-point harness and roll bar on a boat trip.

  13. I laughed too when he went down like that, no resistance. I'm sorry, Karma! Please don't come back around for me!
Why was there a camera filming this boat? Those chicks were totally posing and, I'm avout to have a milkshake, but if I looked like that I'd pose too.
I'm going to be apologizing to karma again when I stop crying.

  16. Sit the fuck down! Jesus. As an avid fisherwoman, I hate when jet skis and speedboats barrel by at top speeds. What's the point? I have a summer home on a river where there is a large rock the size of a Volkswagen way off our shore, right in the middle of the river. We giggle when idiot men are hotdogging in their expensive boats and then lose their prop on the rock. Don't act like an asshole and you won't get hurt.

  17. This definitely looked like a staged boater safety video - and they are doing all the wrong things really well....

He's got a new 80 thousand dollar powerboat with seats! - and they're standing! What a bunch of poseurs.

Second, they aren't wearing life jackets. They aren't any in sight - how the hell are they going to dig them out of the designer storage compartments and get them on in time?

Third, people don't realize how bumpy boats really are. Even when you're sitting down. If you've got back problems, take a cushion to sit on. This driver obviously ran into someone else's wake or even his own if he had turned - that's why they all went flying!

Don't even get me started on Sea-doos....when I see or hear one, all kids with me come out of the water...

  18. What chopchop said!

Agree with the others on WHY were they all standing up? I've been listening to my husband complain all summer about idiots and boat safety and one of his big pet peeves is people standing up or trying to move around a lot when the boat is moving. They are really lucky no one was more seriously injured.
