Linda Hogan Has Lots Of Excuses For Her DUI

I will give Linda Hogan's publicist an B-/C+ for her efforts in explaining why Linda Hogan got pulled over for DUI. First, she wants to make it clear that Linda was pulled over for speeding and not because she was swerving all over the road or doing laps around at it red lights. Point noted. Her second point is that Linda only had one glass of champagne but had it on an empty stomach and that is why he was drunk. This one is a little tougher to swallow. If Linda were Jennie Garth and on the one meal every three day plan I might agree to that. However, Linda got pulled over at 1:34a.m. So, that means presuming she got up at the typical Hollywood time of noon that she had not eaten all day or all night and was presumably not going to eat again until the next morning. I believe that if this is AnnaLynne McCord. I don't with Linda. I think she eats three meals a day. Also, the arrest record shows she weighs just about 160. One glass of champagne is not going to do that unless it is a Jay-Z sized glass which means an entire magnum. Then, I believe it. Finally, the publicist says that Linda was sick and on medication so that really made the effects of the alcohol worse. So, she is taking pills and drinking booze? I'm not sure she should have gone for the last one. Should just have said sick. Now she looks like a booze hound who pops pills when no booze is around and doesn't know better to than to combine them. That last one really cost her. She was doing ok before that and headed for a nice solid B+, but she threw her client under the bus and made her sound like she needs rehab.

  1. Like the typo on line 5 - "and that's why he was drunk." Or was it a typo, Enty?!?

  2. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Bolleas settled the lawsuit for
John Graziano's injuries for somewhere between $25 million and $50 million.

Apparently, that wasn't enough to teach them a lesson...

  3. When are people (and I include celebrities and the average guy) going to learn that no one believes this shit?

  4. All it is ever about is throwing enough bullshit against the media wall and hoping something sticks. Deflect, deflect, deflect. It's the same education the Lohans,Hiltons and Kardashians were brought up with.

  5. Sad sad time. I watched their show on MTV or whatever when it first was on. I thought Linda and Hulk actually loved one another, I was fooled. You could see the list in her eyes for her sons friends. My mom is having a similar mid life crisis. She loves the men's younger then her oldest, me 25. :)

  7. Wow, the local government there needs to get tougher with drinking and driving.

Here in Ontario (Canada) if you get caught over the legal limit, you:

-automatically lose your license for a year.

-your car is immediately impounded and it costs hundreds to get it back

    -fine of at least $500

-if you get caught driving under suspension you go immediately to jail, I believe it's for 30 days

-mandatory drinking and driving course which costs another few hundred

-if you have three DUI's you can lose your license for life

  8. That publicist needs a smack up the head. One excuse is just as lame as the next, and none are a viable one for getting behind the wheel of a car after imbibing in any amount of alcohol...especially after the accident her son was in. This family is pond scum and nothing more. They can fade into obscurity anytime and won't be missed by anyone.

  10. @Tuxedo Cat, the DUI laws in Florida are ridiculously lax. My best friend's fiancee has had four(!) and still has his license. They look more at the frequency of the violation...so because his four DUIs took six years to get, all he's ever had is probation and some community service (which was also a joke - 20 hours). If you have a couple DUIs in a year, they'll do a six month suspension. If you hit "habitual traffic offender" status, your license will be revoked BUT you can apply for a hardship license to get "to and from work."

My uncle, who was a raging booze hound, had four or five DUIs before he got to the hardship license point. And guess what? He still drank behind the wheel every single day. Just didn't drive in his "off" hours.

  11. Mixing antibiotics with booze will not make you more fucked up and will not raise your BAC. look at those eyes! Bitch took pills alright... I know that pic isn't clear but those pupils look pretty small to me.

  12. Wait, didn't her son kill someone in a drunk driving accident?
Wouldn't that make someone think twice?

  13. ITA with cornbread. I live in FL and my dad has had 8 DUI. After the last one he was able to get a hardship but had to have the breathalyzer thing in all vehicles. They are so sensitive you couldn't drive and wear perfume or cologne. But, he still drinks, pops pills(not antibiotics) and drives.

  14. We are not run by the "local" govt in the USA re drunk driving laws. It is state and fed govt laws. The USA 350 m known citizens are governed differently than the 35 m Canadian citizens. Please consider that.

  15. Alcohol from carbonated drinks like champagne do enter the bloodstream faster than drinking non-carbonated alcohol, but at her weight, it would take at least three drinks in one hour to hit .8

I saw a show where they had various people drinking alcohol and were blowing into a breathalyzer every few minutes. It was remarkable how much alcohol it does take to hit .8. Every single participant was stunned. One guy had four pints of beer in little more than an hour and was just under .8 He said he felt drunk enough that he wouldn't get behind the wheel - despite being legal.

  16. Agent IT - Same thing in Canada. Provincial and Federal laws. What does the difference in population have to do with anything?

Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. USA has 50 states (not sure how many territories you have).

There are variances in DUI laws in each province, but overall, in the past few years the public has demanded that these laws be strengthened.

  17. I saw a couple of episodes of their show, too, and thought they seemed like a nice, normal family. I don't know if they were just all living under the same roof and pretending for the cameras or if the whole dynamic just imploded after or even because of the show.

    @ Chilie - The U.S. has 14 territories.

  18. People who drink and make no arrangements for their transportation other than getting behind the wheel themselves are a huge menace.

We have a man in jail now, caught driving drunk on a suspended license, wearing an alcohol monitoring device. He was awaiting trial for his last drunk driving bust.

The trial was because last Halloween he was drunk driving and killed a ten year old trick-or-treater in my area.

Las Vegas is a very dangerous place for pedestrians, add drunk drivers, and it's mayhem.

They can give all the excuses they want, when you get behind the wheel and you are impaired from anything for any reason, you are a
    weapon set to go off.

  19. I don't believe you can calculate how drunk someone will get just by their weight. I have very very low tolerance, girls who weigh 30 pounds less than me can out drink me. For example, the last time I drank was August. I weigh 155 pounds and half a beer at Yankee Stadium (if that tells u what size it was bc I don't know how many ounces) got me buzzed. I finished it, and then was so buzzed that I was the only person in my section supporting my team and almost got my ass kicked bc I yelled a few taunts, embarrassing my friend. He wanted to buy me another beer and I said no bc if I drink more I will REALLY embarrass you and get all these Real Madrid supporters pissed at me. He bought me a water :) So I think every body is different and depends also on how much tolerance you built up. I drink about 3 days out of the year so when I do it's like BAM!

  20. How alcohol affects you, and the amount in the bloodstream are two different things.

You could very well have been only 0.2, but it knocked you on your ass. Hardcore alcoholics could be well over the legal limit with regard to the amount of alcohol in their bloodstream, but they aren't as affected by it because they've increased their tolerance.

However, at this time, it is the only way to determine possible impairment.

That said, if you act impaired behind the wheel - regardless of cause - you can be charged as well. People who are driving on too little sleep and are drifting all over the road have been charged with DUI.

  21. This could all be a very extreme family contest we don't know about....yeah i think that's it.

  22. @Cornbread That is so crazy! I'm speaking from experience too because I had ONE DUI, and the Ontario punishment worked for me. I never did it again. They have to enforce it though - no excuses (except for politicians and their families haha)
