I do not get Letterman's appeal. He seems to ride on his silly smile and Paul his sidekick quite alot. Leno seems nice, but again, not a huge fan. Whatever happened to Carson Daly? He was likable on TRL back in the nineties. Nice but not kiss assy, asked intelligent questions that enquiring minds wanted to know. The last I saw him he looked really manorexic/bobblehead dollish. Not a good look.
"Whatever happened to Carson Daly?"
Perhaps you've heard of a little show called "The Voice?"
And also, Leno is NOT nice... he just has other people do his dirty work.
@CarmeliteLady - Carson Daly has a show that airs right after Jimmy Fallon on NBC (1:35 am East Coast time).
I like Letterman, find him funny, and he recognizes when he falls flat. But I don't really watch late night TV.
@surfer - his show doesn't air in all markets - when I lived in Chicago, they had it, but in michigan, it goes right to infomercials after Fallon.
Didn't know that Cathy. Thanks, I guess.
Just pointing it out, because it's always kinda annoying the way Fallon ends each show with "Stay tuned for Carson Daly" and then in infommercial comes on.
The correct answer is : Craig Ferguson > all the rest of them
Ok, I KNOW it's off topic, but I found this Leann Rimes story on the New York Post website and it's too funny not to share:

Evidently she thought it would be tasteful to dress up as Sandy from Grease for Halloween.
pink dressed up as sandy too
If you have a criticism of Letterman, save your strength; he's already thought of it, a million times worse than you can imagine. His being permanently self-deprecating, and his desire to live privately (old fashioned)--those qualities, among others, make him SO 'Hoosier'. I feel a kinship with Dave, in that I'm very 'Hoosier' too, but also the cranky & impatient 'city-type' Hoosier.
I actually saw most episodes of his early-morning show he started on, when I was very little; I've been watching him ever since, and my love for Dave will never know logic. Even if he were a dick to me in person I'd still love him.
