The Santa Clause, with Tim Allen. So. Freaking. Cute. It makes me believe in Santa Claus every time, I know it's silly and it's a kid's holiday, but I really get into it.
There was a post here not too long ago that talked about Home For The Holidays, so I wanted to watch that. I requested it from the library & was 4th in line for it. Then whoever had it lost it!! Now I'm 3rd in line, but they don't even have it anymore. :'(
Given I'm working, that's gonna be a toughie. However I have faith that whoever's in charge of the remote at work will have something on. So I'll probably catch a few minutes of NCSI's Christmas themed episode. Or something similar. But truth be told, I'm holding out for the train wreck that will be "Liz & Dick...The Blohan Travesty". Certain to be a holiday classic.
we watched elf last week (does that count?) and charlie briwn's chriustmas movie. fir the first time this year i'm hearing people that that charlie brown christmas is depresing from about 1/2 the people i know. who knew?
Leaving soon for dinner with the in-laws. But the Christmas movie I watch each and every year at least twice is A Christmas Story. It came out on video not long before my mom died (back in the 1980s) and it made her cry - said it reminded her of when my sibs and I were kids. And the dad in that movie is a lot like my dad was. So it's my favorite.
After Thanksgiving dinner is consumed, the Christmas season can finally begin with the annual viewing of Christmas Vacation to kick things off. Then tomorrow comes Elf while putting up the tree!
If anything A Christmas Story. I plan on just getting really trashed today. I have to work tomorrow morning (flying spaghetti monster save my soul) and with spending Thanksgiving alone I figured day drunk was definitely the way to go.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope it is a safe and happy day for all
Home for the Holidays is my favorite. But I'll probably watch Die Hard. This weekend I will be watching both seasons of GOT cause I'm a nerd! Gobble Gobble Y'all!
Love Actually. Then Bad Santa, Christmas Vacation. A Christmas Story we watch on Christmas Eve when it runs on TBS over and over. I also like to include the Winona Ryder Little Women during the holidays too if I have the time.
None today... It's an NCIS Gibb's -a - thon on USA. BUT the first one will probably be some cheesy Lifetime one. Too soon for Elf and White Christmas for me.
OT, but still... @EmEyeKay I'm another "Once" addict...so I have to ask... just *WHAT* was in that damn box that made him suddenly go from an attitude of "yeah buddy, stay right there, I'm gonna call the men in white coats to take you away" to "ok, I believe" in a nanosecond? And what's your opinion of the inclusion of Mulan as a "storybook character" ? Last I checked, she was a Disney creation less than 10 years old, not a classic character like Snow, Aurora, etc. (But I'm still hooked)
Um. Planes Trains & Automobiles!!!

ReplyDeleteI watch Elf and Bad Santa every year, but not until Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
ReplyDeleteWhen Harry Met Sally... Technically not a holiday movie, but the best scenes happen around the holidays and they get together at New Year's.
ReplyDeleteIf anything A Christmas Story. I plan on just getting really trashed today.
