Blind Item #1
This B list usually all movie actress, but who will hit the cable circuit from time to time has had a problem with bulimia for the past decade. Yeah, she has been around about that long. She has worked on her body issues and has gained about 20 pounds in the past few months. Still probably a size 2, she has lost out on three or four roles recently after producers thought she was too heavy so now she has not kept anything down for two weeks to try to lose the 20 pounds. She was literally shaking and almost fainting at an event this week.
Poor skinny Kate Bosworth? IDK, haven't checked the DM, but God bless that girl, she looks very ill regardless.

ReplyDeleteFrufra-- I did see a recent pic where you could see every exposed bone jutting, but I've noticed she seems to be resorting to the trick of covering up to hide it. KB would be a good guess.

@Lotta - yeah, her IMDB doesn't show cable tv stuff -- I think. I just looked really quickly. So, this may be about someone else, but KB is just who comes to mind for me, because she looks so ill.

ReplyDeleteThe Julia Stiles guess is plausible. She was on Dexter, which would be cable. She's definitely not higher than a B, and she's not waify by any stretch.
ReplyDeleteI always wondered if Ent used the DM as his source for news articles because he writes these posts late at night (and they auto post during the day starting at 6am his time) because the DM has the newest news stories. Maybe while he is reading the DM, he sees photos and they jog his blind item memory.

I find bulimics way hotter than anorexics. There is a certain level of commitment to the purge that I can respect.
ReplyDeleteI tried to go the Irish Bulimia diet plan once, but with increasing tolerance, it got too expensive to keep drinking until I threw up.
That's my whole routine on Bulimics. I'm working on something about "How come there aren't any Ana Mia Dating sites?" but its not ready for public consumption.

I feel like we would have noticed if Kate Bosworth gained 20lbs. She is so incredibly skinny that 20lbs would be one hell of a difference.
@jsierra i guess cartoon network counts as cable, maybe. also, idk if she's on there anymore. i thought she got replaced by one of my favorite voice actors, lacey chabert

ReplyDelete@Amber - The link you posted convinced me that it's Julia Stiles. In the still from the movie, she looks thinner than she does at the premiere. I don't know when it was filmed, but it does seem like she has gained weight since then. She still is thin of course.

DeleteJulia Stiles. She really fluctuates in weight. That girl can gain and lose 20 lbs in about a week. She starts looking healthy and then the next time you see her she's very thin again. Good for her for working on her body issues. I hope she told those producers to go F themselves. :)

ReplyDeleteIf you knew someone with a severe eating disorder you wouldn't be so flip about it. Having an eating disorder is a living hell. Why anyone would want to encourage it in any way is beyond me.
@tuxedo i struggled with ED all through school. Only in the last two years have i started allowing myself to be healthy, i found jerkulas comments funny, tacky but funny. Whats life without a giggle? :)
Delete@tux... Jerk's comment might be tacky as crazy glue, but it was also funny. As someone who has dealt with many body issues (both personal and helping others) i think this would be one of those "outlandish comments that could be used with proper comedic timing to make someone giggle/shake-their-head"

ReplyDeleteI don't think the Count was necessarily trying to be flip or cruel about eating disorders; I read it more as very black humor, which I myself indulge in at times. (Sometimes black humor, sick as it can be, is the one thing keeping you from totally losing your shit when horrible things happen...trust me on this one.) Oh, and my first thought for an ana/mia dating service was "what are the names of the main casting organizations in Hollywood?"...yes, I am a sick puppy, but it doesn't mean I don't care about the topic or people dealing with disorders.

I agree with Mila, although Ricci has a history of bulimia.

KB is too much a gimme. That girl simply doesn't eat much less purge.

ReplyDeletehey guys, tread gently: eating disorders are diseases that are not withing the control of the sick person. They might get the help they need, and then relapse when they're not maintaining their program of recovery.
ReplyDeleteBeing bulemic is not courageous. It's a sick person who is suffering.
Being anorexic is not exercising "good self control" - it's the inability to stop dangerous behavior that is killing you.
Eating compulsively and restricting when you have an eating disorder is NOTHING like a normal person over-eating then going on a diet...so a little compassion for the sick and suffering, k?
I think gaining 20 pounds would help KB get a role at this point.

I can't see Kate Bosworth ever actually reaching size 2. She seems way thinner than that and the camera is supposed to add weight, right?

ReplyDeleteCable circuit probably means all those new shows on TBS, TNT, HBO, etc. Stuff like "Homeland" "Dallas" "Anger Management" and whatever they call that wedding band show starring BAG.

ReplyDeleteI like Ricci for this though she did a few episodes of Ally McBeal & Grey's Anatomy, but that might be too long ago and too infrequent for Enty to count it. Best guess so far, but I also think B is a stretch for her today.
Keira Knightly hasn't done "the cable circuit". Same with Kate Bosworth & Dakota Fanning. Come on, that's the one solid clue here.
I'd still like to hear other names, I'm not satisfied.
I'm sure the producers are a bunch of grisly, fat, tub 'o lards like Weinstein.

Alicia Silverstone has had problems with bulimia, and has claimed to be cured but I think she would probably tell them where to go? Maybe not. I guess it depends how much she wanted the role. She does movies and TV, and is probably a B List.
ReplyDeleteAll day I wasn't sure who this was but tonight I was watching tv with my husband and a commercial for the Hallmark movie with Julia Stiles came on. His reply was "man her career went nowhere fast" I immediately thought if this blind. I'm sold on the Julia Stiles guess.
