Blind Items Revealed
November 20, 2012
This actress had a chance to get to A list. She was thisclose and was in a movie that got her nominated for one of the big awards and everything was going great. Then she had a personal tragedy which she does not discuss much and since that time she has worked on her career but other things in her life are more important. For her, she has been focusing on kids, especially those who are terminally ill. Her favorite thing to do which she does at least once a week is go to a children's hospital and sit and meet with kids and they watch some of her most famous movies. The movies that still make kids scream with delight when she comes visit them. She has tried to get her castmates to come with her because the kids would even love it more but they always say no or they will come some other time. There is one castmate who invariably comes. Apparently there is nothing quite like the smile of a kid who is suffering from cancer when this B list all movie actor walks in the room and sits down and watches the movies with them. If smiles could heal, there would be no sick people when he comes along to visit with our actress.
Anna Kendrick/Taylor Lautner
I didn't see this one at all.
ReplyDeleteOMG she was my guess!! Woot I got something right!
DeleteGo Anna!
This is so awesome, so glad it was revealed.
ReplyDeleteThat's the first nice thing I've read about him
ReplyDelete@misch, it's the first nice thing I have read about both of them, especially surprising about AK, but in a good way.
DeleteThat's so sweet of her and TL. Boo on the other Twilight actors who didn't participate.
ReplyDelete<3 team edward
ReplyDeleteAwwww. Love it and they both went up huge notches in my book!
ReplyDeleteawesome reveal :)
ReplyDeletemakes me like tom cruise jr a little more
ReplyDeleteThanks Enty! I love these kindness blinds.
ReplyDeleteAnna, you are one classy lady! A big huge thumbs up! Kudos to Taylor for tagging along and spreading smiles! This one makes me all rosy, glowy, happy inside!
Want to see more of these bc they always make my day :)
How sweet. Taylor was in Indy for the Superbowl, his SUV was swarmed with fans wanting to see him. He could have had his driver plow through, but Taylor stopped the driver and got out to take photos with fans for a good while. Nice to hear a kindness about them both!
ReplyDeleteLove love love. Thanks for the reveal, Enty.
ReplyDeleteThat's really sweat of both of them. I'm troubled by her personal tragedy... Hope it wasn't too serious.
ReplyDeleteWhat personal tragedy did she have?
ReplyDeleteAlways knew this was a standup guy, ever see him ,sparkles and bella do interviews together, he always have to be the one to save those interviews from being "i just cant bother'
ReplyDeleteWhat personal tragedy did she have?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if her work with terminally ill children started before or after her role in 50/50. That's a great movie, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI love 50/50. Surprisingly funny for a movie about cancer, great story about friendship.
DeleteI really like Anna Kendrick. I will admit that I have watched all of the Twilight movies, save the most recent one. I'm a glutton for punishment. What can I say? The shit is HILARIOUS.
ReplyDeleteShe's got great skills and I loved her in 50/50. Plus she was in the newest Ben Folds Five video so, uber awesome props to her. I hope that whatever her tragedy was, that she has found some peace through giving.
According to her IMDB, she skipped the 2011 Academy Awards because "she said she had been very overwhelmed on the previous year when she was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role" - seems like there might be more to it than that...
ReplyDeleteI have been feeling down these past few days and this warmed my heart. It's nice to know there are good hearted people in the world. I have a soft spot for children and I love seeing them smile.
ReplyDeleteAnd those kids really need some love. It means so much to them!!!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of... Where is our resident pediatric nurse Shauniebear? Hugs to you for doing this every day!!! You are my hero!
Best blind item reveal of the bunch.
ReplyDeleteMade my day. Good on both of them for being decent people.
She was great in CAMP, very talented young woman.
ReplyDeletediscoflux---I LOVE BEN FOLDS! The Five, the solo, whatever. Forever now.
ReplyDeleteSarah--I'm in Indianapolis..are you too?
Plainfield. Hi, neighbor :)
DeleteTaylor Lautner has always bugged me a bit, but when you think of it in these terms, he definitely went up on my list of 'celebs that aren't assholes'. Sarah, thanks for sharing that story, he seems like a nice guy.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get too many celebrity stories here, lol. Figured I'd share.
Deletei had said Taylor Lautner was nice with the fans (i was at a french show LE GRAND JOURNAL when he promoted his looklike Jason Boune movie and he signed many autographs, did many pics with fans)
ReplyDeletegreat blind item!
Anna is definitely the most talented of the Twilight bunch, and I love that she does this! I just love Taylor for getting involved too. I'm not going to lie, movie time with him would make me smile from ear to ear too!
ReplyDeleteFlirty Chick - you need a LottaColada DiaPapaya cocktail! It will put that pep in your step!
ReplyDelete*I don't know how to make it though. Where's Sherry, the bar keep?
@dia papaya- it's funny you say that, I just got a request in that last Justin Bieber reveal!
DeleteLotta! Lets brand this and start making some $$$
DeleteHope you're having a great day!

ReplyDeleteWhat personal tragedy did she have?
ReplyDeletePitch Perfect has replaced Mean Girls as my daughter's favorite movie. I think AK is a good swap for LL.
ReplyDeleteRefreshing. I knew there was something I liked about both of them.

ReplyDeleteGood to see the reveals are more current now.
ReplyDeleteGreat blind. I couldn't find anything when I googled her name and tragedy, but when I googled loss, several links discussed her significant hair loss in 2010 over the stress of an awards show. I suppose in Hollywood this would be considered a tragedy, though I'd consider it along the lines of bummer or "oh, crap."
ReplyDeleteGood for her! Him too! Just goes to show that not everyone in Hollywood is an a$$hole.
ReplyDeleteGood for her! Him too! Just goes to show that not everyone in Hollywood is an a$$hole.
ReplyDeleteJust watched heron pitch perfect! Loved it!
ReplyDeleteI could just imagine KStew at a children's hospital rolling her eyes and looking bored staring off to outer space while kids just wants 3 minutes of her attention. I just don't like her at all.
ReplyDeletethere is nothing more heart breaking than a terminally ill child. Bless their hearts for doing something kind just for the right reasons.
Libby - I just saw them in concert a couple of months ago and I was ECSTATIC!!! It was a night for which I'd waited over a decade! I will always be madly in love with Darren Jessee. I saw them play their first show ever in Texas in October 95 , opening for Heather Nova. It's been a love affair ever since. Now I'm tempted to put my pic of me and Darren as my avatar. *swoon*
ReplyDeleteAlmost makes me want to watch twilight...almost.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful kindness. I feel badly that I had to look her up on IMDB - I couldn't remember her, although I did see Up In The Air.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that the hair loss wasn't the tragedy itself, but a result of it - that, along with her reasoning for skipping the 2011 academy awards entirely.
ReplyDelete@Cathy, I was being a bit cheeky about the hairloss being the tragedy. I agree about the hairloss being a side effect of the stress from the tragedy. I knew a woman who had suffered a great trauma in her childhood and lost all of her body hair. I wouldn't mind the pits, legs, and, as one CDaner said "the nice china" areas, but I would still want the hair on my head, eyelashes, and eyebrows.
DeleteWhat a nice reveal. I really like Anna Kendrick, wasn't she also the popular guess for this one? Way to go girl.
ReplyDeleteFor the ratings chart email me at
JSierraCDAN@yahoo.com
this is really great. happy to hear that they are focused on the kids. they need a lot of sunshine in their lives.
ReplyDeletedisco---Darren Jessee was my initial crush from BFF, too! Jealous!
ReplyDeleteBen's hands look so good in that video.
BUT-- I have yet to see him live when his fingers weren't bleeding & with bandages all over, sometimes doing audience patter as he adjusts them as needed. I've seen him maybe 10 times, in Indianapolis, once in Chicago. He's always beat up. But he still puts on a good show always.
Now I feel bad for snarking on her for her gigantic teef in Pitch Perfect. This is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteShe says the Oscars was overwhelming, but it could've been something else traumatic that CAUSED her to lose her hair. Trauma and stress to the body can do that to you. I started losing some hair (temporarily) years ago when I was in a pretty traumatic accident then had to have reconstructive surgery and brain surgery (brain surgery was a freak discovery in the MRI they did from the accident). All that physical stress on top of the emotional stress causes the body to react. Mine went through a whole mess of shit at that time.
Hi, Plainfield---I'm East side, but I used to work at the Chase Operations building on the way to Plainfield...I'll bet you know where I mean!
ReplyDelete(Pssssst...Go COLTS!)
I grew up on the east side. Small world!
DeleteYea! Good one. I loved her in *pitch perfect* which was a moving I was not expecting to enjoy as much as I did. If you haven't seen it, rent it!
ReplyDeleteLove Anna. For those who want a good laugh, check out her Conan interview where she talks about her obsession with Taco Bell. You cannnae fake that kinda sincerity.
ReplyDeleteKindness reveals are the cream in my coffee. Thank you, Sir!
ReplyDeleteAnna Kendrick was also in End of Watch which I think comes out on dvd at the end of this month. See it if you haven't already :) I'll check out 50/50, but will have to a hankie handy!
That's lovely. I love blinds like these. I think so much more highly of these two actors. :)
ReplyDeleteHoly shitballs. I hadn't even REALIZED that was her in CAMP.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Jeneral.
This is a beautiful story, thanks for posting it, Enty.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, I liked her in UP IN THE AIR. This is very sweet.........
ReplyDeleteVery sweet of both of them. Thanks for posting this, Enty. The kindness reveals are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteJeneral CAMP is one of my favorites! I have it on my iPod and make sure I watch it at least once or twice a year.
ReplyDeleteWho knew Fritzi could be so nice!
This is the first thing to ever make me happy about Twilight.
ReplyDeleteI just watched 50/50 last week and really, really liked it. I found out later that James Franco had the lead role and pulled out. Joseph Gordon Levitt accepted the lead role only 2 days before filming started.
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, I can't imagine anybody else playing that role. He was great. I laughed and cried. The movie is based on a true story---Seth Rogan's close friend got cancer and encouraged him to write the screen play.
I ALWAYS think EVERY movie is WAY too long. But I didn't think that once when I watched 50/50. I loved it.
About Anna...maybe she had a stalker? That would make me scared to go to an awards show...
Just a guess.
JGL is one of my favorite actors! I've had a (potentially inappropriate) crush on him ever since 3rd Rock from the Sun. I'm a bit older than little Joe (he was at the time). But he's fair game now!!!
DeleteHe is one of my favorites too, if not my favorite. And he looks like a good, serious guy in real life too which is a bonus!
DeleteLibby and Sarah - Representing Fishers, IN over here!
ReplyDeleteLots of local love today :D
DeleteYay for Anna Kendrick and Taylor Lautner. This makes me want to run out and watch all of their films, so they can be more successful. I love it when celebrities give back to the community.
ReplyDeleteI consider it poor taste to speculate on what her tragedy was. She clearly prefers to keep it private. For some celebrities, I'd not care (that's what you get for being a public figure). But a celebrity who is trying to use her success for others -- well, they get a big ol' pass from me. She can keep whatever private that she wants.
Love the kind ones!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was diagnosed with diabetes at 13, and the doctors and nurses at the childrens hospital were the absolute best.
ReplyDeleteReal unsung heros.
Took amazing care of her.
She was my guess! I love that this is her! She (in my opinion) has had the most successful career out of the twilight cast and I hope it continues!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me like Anna Kendrick a little bit more. :)
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteWow I thought for sure that this was The Harry Potter kids, good for Kendrick and Lautner. This is very sweet and wonderful to hear, I'll support both of their projects now from now on. Great Kindness Blinds Enty!!!

ReplyDeleteWikipedia says that when she had an audition for Twilight, she was too ill and had to leave. Maybe she had some serious illness.
ReplyDeleteworstcompany - I hope your daughter is doing better now.
ReplyDeleteLove reading this kindness reveal. Cosign renting/watching their movies just to bolster them!
Nice way for her to give of herself. I can bet you that THIS sort of thing, while private, is still what creates longevity in H'wd. And Taylor's stock just rose in my book.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was strange that she seemed to drop out, she was in everything one year... Glad to hear this.
ReplyDeleteSo kewl!
ReplyDeleteThe blind filled me with happy thoughts and warm fuzzes. What a sweet and considerate thing for her to do. :)
ReplyDeleteNice surprise on Taylor L. I like it.
This was a total surprise reveal. I loved 50/50 too.
ReplyDeleteI knew it was these two!!!
ReplyDeleteBest reveal yet! Surprised about TL, but it puts both of them up a notch in my book.
ReplyDeleteI'm telling you, I think we have Kristen Stewart pegged wrong! I think her problem is is that she's terribly shy and doesn't know how to deal with people so she puts on this front. I've seen some of her interviews and she seems like a very bright person who is trying to break out of her shell but doesn't know how. Also, she's been in this business a long time. God only knows who's used and abused her.
ReplyDeleteBut, gotta say, AK, she rocks! Loved her in Scott Pilgrim! HILARIOUS!
I really like her and absolutely adore him (and he was super hot in Rolling Stone a couple of years ago). I have read for a long time that he is very generous with his fans and a genuinely nice and grateful guy.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the hair loss is a symptom OF her illness, not FROM the stress of someone else's.
ReplyDeleteAlso, remember awhile back there was a pic of her exiting a get together for COS-bots (included Will Smith and Tommy boy). Did she become a scientologist? That could cause anyone to become ill and lose their hair.
I adore Anna Kendrick and this made me love her even more.
ReplyDeleteman, taylor should use that smile for good, it's so infectious
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great blind and good for Anna and Taylor. But I have read a lot about the charities that Kellan has done a lot of work for as well. Also, Rob was the first one in the cast that had been written about extensively as always standing around forever and trying to sign for every last fan so it's probably simplifying to say there are only two guardian angels from the entire cast that are caring, charitable people.
ReplyDeleteOMG just saw Anna in 'Pitch Perfect' after several friends and both teen kids begged me to rent it. Such a great movie and she's great in it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the personal tragedy: it appears that according to records, her parents lost their home to foreclosure in around 2010-2011. May have been a wise foreclosure or they could've lost their life savings in the leverage-investment game.
ReplyDeleteBut how did that prompted her to read to hospital kids? There was also a blind (another site) around 2010-2011 about a young actress needing to get an abortion - strongly implicated Anna.
Honestly I'm starting to wonder if she had a miscarriage.
ReplyDeleteHer portrayal of a woman post-loss in 'What to Expect' was quite accurate and heartbreaking.
Plus, depending on how far along she was, a common side effect of miscarriage is hair loss (similar to the extra hair you lose post-birth) due to all the hormones shifting in the body.
I know after my miscarriages, I started spending a lot of time at the local Children's hospital. I wanted to be around children, even if I wasn't able to have (or keep) them myself.
Just something to think about.
