ESPN Apologizes To Miss Alabama

If you watched the BCS championship game you might have noticed that 73 year old announcer Brent Musburger was a little enamored over Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb who is also the girlfriend of the Alabama quarterback. Brent had said that quarterbacks get all the good looking women when the cameras showed her. Brent then said that if you are a kid you should go to your backyard right now and start throwing a football so you can get a woman like Katherine. ESPN apologized saying that Musburger went too far, but Katherine was grateful for the publicity. She went from 2400 Twitter followers to 125,000 in about 3 hours because of the attention. She will probably get a reality show from this now or some other chance to make big bucks other than being the girlfriend of a quarterback.

    Eh, Musburger being a skeezy old man is old news. I always think he's annoying as hell, and am praying he'll retire soon, but I honestly didn't think his comments the other night were any different that the dribble he usually spouts, and certainly weren't apology-worthy.

    What Musburger said wasn't so bad, but it came across as dirty because he's old enough to be her grandpa and he kept going and going. Had he complimented her once or twice, it would have been fine.

    Being that she models occasionally, Katherine is indeed likely fine with the attention. This will lead to more gigs for sure.

    No he was definitely creepy. There was no excuse for it. I'm not a feminist by any means but her saying he wasn't creepy I felt like it set us ladies back. Agreed had he just said she was beautiful and moved on it'd be one thing. It was like grunts and the wows and howwww much he kept talking abt her. Creepy as fuck. He should be fired.

    I did take a look at some of the articles written about her today...and am I mean for laughing over the fact that she works at Chik Fil A as a "training director," and although she and McCarron just met three weeks ago she says she's moving back to Alabama to be with him? I give them 3 months!

    In most cases, grandpa used to be a nice old man wanting nothing more in his old age than to whittle and maybe build models. Now we are seeing more horny old men come out of the woodwork, literally, thanks to Viagra. Which is fine if it's with grandma and we never, ever know about it, but in this case, it's just creepy and wrong.

    I just thought it was funny that, out of all of the girls who lunge at fame by making a sex tape or getting naked, all she had to do was show up and support her boyfriend.

    I think Brent Musburger's commends seemed weird, but I think ESPN producers egged them on, because they knew that attention on her was the only thing keeping their coverage interesting in an otherwise ho-hum game.

    Here's the article--I guess it's been about a month. They shared "flirtatious" tweets to each other, then he showed up at the Miss Alabama USA pageant on Dec. 7-8 and that's where they met for the first time.

    I'm a sports freak but I really just can't with ESPN anymore. Granted, sometimes I have to watch because of what games they are showing. Musberger is the one good thing ESPN has going for the network. I can't believe what a big deal that this has become. Musberger was commenting on a very "beautiful woman" and obviously she is, what's the problem there??? She's a beauty queen who does pageants where people vote on beauty, among other things. Another thing, her parents have come out and told people to back off Brent. There is no story

    Laura Quinn Hawk became famous when she attended the Fiesta Bowl several years ago. Her brother Brady played QB for Notre Dame and her BF AJ Hawk was a linebacker for Ohio State. She and AJ are married and I think she owns an interior design business in Green Bay now. The exposure can help a lot and as someone mentioned, it beats putting out a sex tape!

      LOL,I appreciate older women but I think AJ's mom is trying to live up to the whole MILF thing.Looking at her other pics,I think she's been called beautiful her entire life so that's her identity and she'll do what she can to maintain it as long as possible.Without the implants,I doubt she would get so much attention considering her face is just so-so.
