Blind Item #2

This former A list mostly movie actor and Academy Award winner (again no and/or designation) is back on the full-time coke wagon again. He had taken an almost two year long break, but is now indulging in his favorite activity. Not sure if his wife joins him, but she used to.

  1. I'm going w/ MD, because Nic Cage's wife wouldn't be as worth mentioning, right?

He is still married to that young chick, right?

He is with her. She's super bitchy but she doesn't really give off a coke head vibe. Former sushi restaurant waitress with a bit of an entitlement issue now. He must be quite the handful though. He's super charming but cray-cray. That could account for the bitchiness. But I don't think Cage has an Oscar.

Oops forgot about Leaving Las Vegas!

  2. Nic Cage. Would MD be a former A lister? The break would make sense with his health issues though.

Nope he made it really clear when she got pregnant that he wasn't her boyfriend.

  4. Guessing Robin Williams again, just for consistency's sake. Plus, he used to have a well-known coke problem.

  5. Really? Is that what you do after beating the Big C? Snort coke?
    Affleck.

    1. I thought of Affleck at first, but no way he is a former A lister. He's A list all the way after the year he just had. I'm relieved too, hate to think of this being him and Jen with all those little kids.

Don't believe Jennifer Garner used to do coke with Affleck. It's possible but that would shock me.
Like the MD guess but his ticker's a little old for coke, CJZ probably never stopped, I'd believe her for a 20yr coke user.
Looking for someone that's been married for probably a few years and plausibly not too old I would say 50 and younger.

You would think that with all the problems MD's son has had that drugs would be far from his to do list. But I'm coming up short on who to put in that 2 year hiatus box which other than the Oscar winner and wife is the only clue left.

You know coke use is pretty prevelent in restaurants. Wouldn't surprise me if Cage's wife used to partake. You have to be a little crazy to marry him so coke wouldn't be out of the question. Does seem odd that Enty would mention the non famous wife though.
Maybe it was just to help us narrow it down?

  11. Maybe the part about the wife was added to rule out Penn?

  12. I was also thinking MD, after his cancer scare and in the midst on a dying marriage (jmo), could start up his YOLO life again, you know?

Also, I would be surprised if Nic Cage HAD given up coke for two whole years. But it definitely could be him, as the 'former' A-lister. More former than MD. fo sho.

Two more former A listers with Oscars and wives we with their own fame - Clint Eastwood and Warren Beatty. Can't come up with a reason for a 2 years break though. Also don't really think Cage took an almost 2 years break even if he was broke he has friends with coke.

  14. @GossipMonster- Even though I shutter to think of 80 year old Eastwood doing blow, that would explain why he talks to chairs. 😝😜

  15. Don't think it's MD. He had a pretty solid tv career prior to movies. I would call him "eternal a list" because of producing, acting, oscar wins, etc.

I like the Nic C. guess

  16. Please note Enty said "mostly movie actor" - what does that mean? Only someone like Robin Williams (comedian) would make sense, who's he married to?

    1. @Hunter. Actually, Michael Douglas used to be on "The Streets of San Francisco" and Tom Hanks was on "Bosom Buddies," just for a start. So "mostly movie" works for a lot of them.

Was Nic Cage ever anything but movies? That might actually knock him out of the running.

  17. Robin Williams married a graphic designer in 2011.

  18. @Gypsy LOL! That was funny; funnier than what my paycheck looks like this week. Thanks for the laugh.

  19. Yes, Nick Cage has an oscar. For Leaving Las Vegas. And he totally deserved it.

  20. What the hell does "(again no and/or designation)" mean? That threw me off completely.

    1. @sherry, just means he's an Oscar winner for sure, instead of how Enty usually says Oscar nominee/winner (either a nom or a winner) . Hopefully this will also stop those double digit IQ'ers from interpreting the usual nom/winner to mean winner.

  21. I like the Robin Williams guess. When he was getting a divorce, weren't there rumors about him being an erratic cokehead all over the place?

I'm signing on with it. Also, works well with "mostly movie actor" cuz he's also a comedian and Mork. Plus, haven't seen him in anything in YEARS so the former A-list works.

  22. Robin Williams had issues but I believe he was off cocaine for a far longer period of time than 2 years. More like 10-15 I thought?

I also think Robin Williams is permanent A, but I know these ratings are wackadoo.

  23. If Robin got married in 2011 he doesn't fit. Off coke for 2 years, but current wife used to join him.

Nic Cage and MD fit well. If it wasn't for Former A, I would give it to MD with the relevant spouse , but I think this is Nic. The spouse is just a clue.

  24. Javier & Penelope?

    Christian Bale?

Long shots but just thought I'd throw them out there!

  25. Cage could make a lot of sense. His wife USED to do coke with him, before she got pregnant and had their Superman baby. ???

  26. Except for one TV movie in 1981, Nicholas Cage is all movies. So as much as he fits the rest of this, I don't think it's him.

  27. Thank you Taracu.

  28. I like the Michael douglas guess. Enty wouldn't have thrown in the hint about the wife participating or not unless the wife is a somebody. Cage and Williams' wives are relative nobodies.

  29. MD is definitely former A list.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The words in parentheses should read: "...(again, no "and/or" designation)..."

    ReplyDelete
  31. Disagree, I don't think the comment about the wife joining means she is also a celeb- it means the person is currently married and has been to the same person for over 2 years because he and wife did it together back then.

    So...
MD- possible I guess, in a YOLO sense as someone else mentioned, but I don't think super likely. Plus I don't think he and his wife hang too much anymore regardless of activity. But def former A list.
RW- hasn't been married long enough to current wife for these clues to fit although of course has well documented history of coke probs. Also def former A list.
Tom Hanks- NOT former A list but otherwise this would be a very interesting guess
Affleck- NOT former A list; not sure I buy JG using coke but I wouldn't rule it out
Eastwood- I think you have to argue that despite chair insanity he is also not former A list
Cage- fits in every way except for the some TV, ALTHOUGH he did produce a random TV show in the mid 2000s so I think that might be the link.

While I totally think the current charicature of him is hilarious (Andy Samberg and the fact that NC always "looks like he just witnessed a murder"), its sad that people don't know there actually was talent there. He absolutely deserved the Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas. Raising Arizona is awesome too. Maybe coke is the explanation for why he sucks so much now and gets paid peanuts what he used to/has to make horrible movies.
