So sorry to hear this. She was awfully young.
F*cking cancer again. Rip
Grew up with this show. RIP Bonnie.
OT, who did B Profane claim was the real Enty? Was that what started the shitstorm??
Pancreatic damn cancer!!!! I've lost too many friends to this. (First time commenter, long time lurker. Love you guys...)
She also had a long career on stage including Broadway.
Oh damn. I loved her.
RIP.
Loved the theme song of the show, very church.
RIP! I watched this show as a kid.
That actually brings tears to my eyes...
Welcome @Phaedra!
Great show from that day. Rip.
I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer and he was also 69 took him out in 9 months. I hate this fucking disease so much.
Damn that makes me sad
So sad. :(
R.I.P. Bonnie. Loved 'One Day at Time'.
This makes me sad. I enjoyed the show, and I loved her.
I hate cancer!!!! RIP Bonnie.
I loved that show. Still do. R.I.P. Bonnie....
Loved that show growing up. Sad to see Bonnie go.
Beautiful lady! I loved her on that show. A strong sassy woman during my impressionable years!
Love ya lady! Angels be with you Bonnie!
Fucking cancer.
Great show.
Nice lady (from what I've heard).
What's the shitstorm that's going on over here? I missed it.
Rest in peace.
My dad was 58. Also lasted 9 months. It's been 5 months and still seems unreal.
So sad and way too young. I met her once and she was a sweetheart. RIP.
Boo.
Aaaaw. I actually said that out loud when I read this headline. I grew up with that show too. Sad. 2 of my friend's fathers died within a year of pancreatic cancer too. It's a vicious one. Steve Jobs too I think.
Thanks for the memories, beautiful lady.
Loved her and her show too. RIP
Dear {$Deity of your choice},
You remember that 15-year-old boy who won that science prize for inventing a nearly-free test for early detection of pancreatic cancer? Please give him everything he needs to get this rolling, and please let it work as well as the articles said!
Rest in peace, Bonnie!
Aw no. :( I was watching what I could of "One Day At A Time" on YouTube just the other night after not having seen it since the '70's. I loved that show so much growing up!
Just read the blurb. My mom died at 69 and looked younger than most people in their '40's. That's still young. I've wanted to die since I was 10, and it seems like people who are so full of life and energy are the ones to pass too soon.
Zeeky, it was actually a 17 year old *girl* who discovered it.
And I was very sad to see this. We can hope it was as painless as possible.
Phaedra: welcome!
Geegmarie: Sincere condolences to you and everyone who has lost a loved one to insidious cancer.
And RIP Bonnie. Who didn't watch "One Day At A Time " when it was on. Part of my childhood beimg close to the same age as the girls and having a single mom.
thank you for blazing those trails for us Bonnie, you were an inspiration.
Pancreatic cancer is brutally painful; such an awful way to go. You were great, Bonnie, and you will be missed. RIP.
