Blind Item #3

This almost A list mostly television actor is back on television on a show. How long remains to be seen, but the other day he was telling a story about why he is such good friends with this former almost A list celebrity. It turns out one night he was going to commit suicide and she called him and stayed with him on the phone for 12 hours straight. He said that no one else has ever been so willing to help him and he credits her with saving his life.

    1. If true that would explain a lot!

    2. I like Biggin's guess...but I don't think she has a heart. Unless she was trying to keep him alive for his drugs.

    3. @FSP- I kind of just imagine that Logag happened to be calling in for another favor and once shit got real, she kept him alive so he would fulfill her favor.

    4. And a guest staring role. Maybe this was a longish time ago before Lohag went to the darkside...

    5. Not lohan, that's way too long for a coke head to focus on a phone call

  3. That is one of the saddest and happiest things I ever heard. What a good friend to have.

  7. I like the Matthew Perry guess, he went thru a real dark period after Friends finished.

  8. So sad, but what a happy ending!!!

  9. Bless her heart, whoever she is...I don't suppose we could get a reveal on this sometime, could we? It's always nice to know who the good people are...

  10. Matthew Perry came to mind. Otherwise, no guesses!

  11. If not for the "A list" I'd say Andy Dick. How long he stays on DWTS is questionable. I'd say Kathy Griffin for the celebrity but she might be a comedienne according to enty.

  12. Has to be Sheen/Lohan, that would explain why he's given her so much money to bail her out of various debts.

  13. I kinda remember a story about Charlie Sheen and Kelly
Preston that seem similar to this blind

  14. I thought of Matthew Perry as well. His new show actually isn't too bad, my bf likes it so we watch together.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for John Cho.

  15. I was thinking Sheen/Lohan too but Matthew Perry is a good guess

  16. I would dearly love for this to be LL...just to know that she gives a rat's ass about any/somebody!

  17. If it's revealed - please don't reveal the person who wanted to commit suicide - they deserve their privacy. It's ok to reveal the person who saved their life, though. And no way it's Lohan.

    1. @SusanB I was gonna say exactly the same thing. A person at their lowest point deserves to keep that private.

    2. @SusanB, +1! Things like that should only be revealed by the person who went through it.

    3. Totally agree, @SusanB

  18. Charlie Sheen and Paris Hilton. They are neighbors and he alluded to a special friendship on his live pod/ustream rants back when it was all about Tiger Blood and 'winning'

  19. Matthew Perry was the first person who came to mind, and Jennifer Capriati sounds right for the friend.

  20. ON the Andy Dick thing...

I'm not a regular DWTS watcher, but I did catch the first episode this season and I have to say that I really liked Andy Dick sober. He was humble and copped to what an ass he was and how badly he had treated people when he was using. He said he didn't expect people to just expect that he was different now that he was clean and that he had a lot to prove to a lot of people before people's view of him change (which was part of what he was hoping to do on DWTS).

He was a total jackass in years past but I admire that someone can clean themselves up and admit that they were awful humans at one point and that they want to make amends for their behavior (side eye to LiLo here).

He said every day is a struggle but after hearing him, I have to say that I am rooting for his success with his sobriety...wherever that may take him.

  21. I like the Brad Garrett guess better than Matthew Perry. I think Matthew is A list, not 'almost.'

  23. I thought Matthew Perry as well. He had an issue with drugs and drinking, but I don't remember him being low enough (in public, anyway) that suicide was an option. If it's him and Caprioti, wasn't she just charged with stalking or battery or something like that? Wow, two different personnas, or just a really passionate person?

  24. I like the Matthew Perry guess, with Jennifer Aniston for the friend. They've been known to be very close, and when Friends was on the air and his weight was yo-yoing she became his personal trainer too, in an effort to get him healthy.

  25. Lohan wasn't an almost A list celeb...she was an almost A list actress. Besides, Lilo is an addict herself. She would never help anyone, but herself. She's not a good person. Sheen thinks he's the best thing to grace the planet, so highly doubtful it's Sheen/Lohan.

I'm going with Perry/Capriati. I've heard Perry suffered from depression at one point.

    1. Maybe. But wasn't he diagnosed as being bipolar?

  27. I can't look at Andy Dick without thinking of Phil Hartman. But good for Andy for his sobriety. Hope he maintains it.

    1. Agent- news radio brings us endless joy! The commentaries with Andy are sometimes sad. He really loved Phil. :(
      Rest in peace.

  28. If this is Lohan, it was self-serving of her. That person was either useful to her for drugs or money.

@lola ITA. He seems very sorry for his past behavior. He really really is trying (he needs to drop the comedy schtick and concentrate on actually learning to dance). I hope he stays on, I'm routing for him.

I watch DWTS regulary and this season is, thank God, void of anyone controversial. I do wish the judges would be a bit nicer to DL Hugley tho'. It's not necessary to insult.

  29. Twitchy Lohan doesn't have the attention span for a 12 hour phone conversation.

  30. I am on with the Andy Dick guess. "On a show but how long remains to be seen....." Not sure who the A lister is but Andy was certainly A or almost A back in the day.

  31. Matthew Perry and Lauren Graham

  32. Matthew perry and jennifer anniston.

I know there is a lot of Jen hate On here and enty himself doesn't like her much. But the two of them have always been close. Perry has also suggested Jen was one of the big helps in his life.
RDJ as well.c when he was in prison going through some hard stuff, his agent put out a call for friends or co workers to visit him in prison. Te only one who responded was jennifer anniston, she went and visited. And no she didn't do it as a publicity stunt. It was never mentioned until rdj talked about it years later.

I don't think she is e most talented actress, but I think she has a kind heart, and I loved her in friends and horrible bosses.

    ReplyDelete
  33. J Anniston is not a former A list celebrity though, is she?

    ReplyDelete

    1. No and she refuses to guest star on MP's new show.

  34. I have no guesses. But whoever this is who stayed on the phone for twelve hours and kept her friend from killing himself deserves respect.

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's not Lohan. If it was, there would be more description of her than "former A list celebrity," which isn't exactly right in any case.

It's gotta be Perry/Capriati; the "former A list celebrity" description fits too perfectly.

  36. Charlie Sheen isn't "mostly tv"
I like the Andy Dick guess because of the "how long remains to be seen" clue for DWTS
No clue who the friend is though

  37. Every time I see FSP's avatar, I LMFAO, because it looks like one of those retro restaurant signs. And as a name, it sounds cool and new age-y, something folks'd enjoy telling others "I dined at the Blue Waffle, it was amazing!" They'd be envied by all... Unless a CDaN-er is standing within earshot, then they'd get an "OMGWTF, gross, noooo!" followed by a google pic share. These are the sorts of things I think of when trapped at work.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Rob Lowe. He's done more tv than movie at this point, I think of him as a TV actor, and Parks and Rec us a hit.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sheen/Lohan came to mind just because of how he's been trying to help her. But I doubt she would be that generous with her time.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It's someone who is on opposite coasts (or at least different cities), because why stay on the phone instead of going to be with the person...
