Michael Lohan is about to be very sad. Lindsay Lohan has decided not to go to rehab at the facility her father picked out for her. He wanted full on family therapy which they encourage there because he wants to be able to sell more stories. Lindsay decided against using the facility, not because of the therapy thing, but because she can't go without her Adderall and cigarettes for 90 days which she would have had to do. Lindsay is confident she can find a rehab facility that lets her smoke and encourages Adderall use and has weekly "slip nights" where patients are encouraged to come down to the common room for open bar night.
In fairness, I wouldn't go anywhere that Michael Lohan picked out either

ReplyDelete@ Patty meh you can slip alot of drugs into jail and she has a script for the Adderall so they would be serving it to her on a platter. Oh and if she went to jail in LA she probably would be out in a couple of hours anyway.

ReplyDeleteI was posting about this yesterday on a Bynes thread, but it's worth repeating: Rehab is just a way to satisfy other people's concerns for most addicts. Lohan has no intention of changing. There is no possibility that she will experience a spiritual transformation in 30 days in a spa somewhere, no matter how many styrofoam cups of bad coffee she drinks. She is deeply entrenched in that personality, adn her entire financial and social structure is built on being what she is, as she is. She comes from a family of lunatics and has no chance to clean up. She has sex with drug users who can handle the drugs better, and she clings to them for their support (that Ronson creature, for instance) and they use her as long as they can use her. She will not come out of rehab sober, and she will not stop taking drugs until something deeper and more profound happens to her. And it won't happen in rehab. Let's just move on. I'm over her. Aargh. Ugh. Let her die, it's what she wants. It's the only thing for her. Let her get high until she dies. Run the credits. It's done.

Adderall is equivalent to cocaine. It has the same effect on your brain. Its the club drug of choice right now. Its a hard habit to break.

her choices may be hard, but she has them. she isn't a sex slave or a mom of 7 in some 3rd world country. her clothing is meant to manipulate emotions. pisses me off.
She was never going to the facility in Florida her father chose. She agreed to a facility in the Hamptons until she was told she couldn't have her Adderal. I'm exactly certain what imaginary rehab you've attended, but accredited and well repoed facilities don't have open bar nights. She's going to be very hard pressed to find a facility that allows her adderral the court will approve.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I suspect Michael's motives, he isn't wrong---it isn't just Lindsey who needs help it is their whole family and everyone around her who supports her behavior.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Barton Fink on her personality and I don't think she's in a place to let help in--she is doing this as an easy out instead of jail and she's going to fight like hell not to go to anyplace that is tough enough to actually do anything to control her.

ReplyDeleteAdderall was/is easy for me to stop taking. It's prescribed to me, don't worry, but I don't particularly like using it often, as it does put strain on the heart muscle. Coke/meth/adderall/ritalin are all stimulants so leave the body pretty quickly, not creating physical dependence, just a psychological/emotional craving. Now heroine/vicodin/pain pills/anti anxiety drugs like Xanax/sleeping pills, ( Ambien) can create chemical dependency, where stopping/withdrawal can cause unpleasant/difficult side effects. I've had a great time dancing on Ritalin, endless energy and stamina, but it creates higher blood pressure for which people need to be monitored by a doctor, and if one already has high blood pressure already/heart issues, taking those long acting stimulants with physical excercise like dancing could cause cardiac arrest/heart attack. Be careful party people.

DeleteBruising is probably caused by all the coke & boozing. If I'm not mistaken, those 2 vices deplete your vitamin C absorption therefore making bruises more heinous & easier to get. I doubt that when she does eat, she's sitting down with a big ole veggie-laden salad too.
ReplyDeleteCrafty Girl, This is correct. Also her skin is very pale so even minor bruising shows. You might not notice it if her skin was not almost transparent to begin with.
