Man Lets Girlfriend Get Hit In Face By Baseball
At an Arizona Diamondbacks game earlier this week, a homerun was hit. If you watch the video below you can see a guy running out of the way of the ball and as a result it hits his girlfriend right in the face. Yeah, he let her get hit and then comes to her aid and asks if she is ok. I wonder how long that relationship is going to last.
Looks like it was a normal reaction to seeing a fast ball come at you - he probably didn't have time to think his girlfriend wouldn't move out of the way. I don't believe he wanted to see her get hit.
ReplyDeleteWhat - is she too helpless and feminine to move out of the way herself?
ReplyDelete^^^ what @SKOR said
ReplyDeleteMs Cool's right. Does she not have legs? A nervous system, eyes, a brain herself? She needs a man to sacrifice himself to protect her? He seemed to hop out of the way when he saw a fast object coming at him, but very quickly checked on her, alls fine in my book.
ReplyDeleteLol ditto @Ms Cool. She must be a princess of some sort right?
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with all the previous posters.
ReplyDeleteLook, when I have balls flying at my face I get out of the way too.
ReplyDelete@Lucas Thanks for the visual & giggle! :-D
DeleteOh that was kind of an a*hole comment - "nice job, boyfriend, don't protect your girl." Like boyfriend could predict where the 100mph baseball was going to land. {golf clap}
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was his sister. Years of sibling resentment satisfied in one sweet moment.
ReplyDeleteLazyday - that was soooooo bad........and true.
DeleteMaybe she was accustomed to balls flying at her face???
ReplyDeleteJumping out of the way is an automatic reaction. It's not his fault his girlfriend was it with the ball.
ReplyDelete@Chicky--Her plastic surgeon told her that he didn't want her doing any activity where balls fly at her nose. She didn't listen, apparently...
ReplyDeleteWhat everyone else said. Reflexes tell you to move out of the way. They guy did that, and she just stood there. I don't think she had time to think "Oh my boyfriend should protect so I'll stand right here!" Her reflexes are a bit slower, obviously...
@jolene - that's what I was hearing in my head too! Great minds! ;)
Delete@Jolene- that reference is all I could think of when I kept reading "balls flying at face" haha in response to that.... "Well there goes your social life"
DeleteUm, no, it was a Cardinals game at Chase Field. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, automatic reflex. This dude gets a pass.
(Says the girl who would love to have her proposal done via Jumbotron at Busch Stadium, ahem.)
He didn't let her get hit. It all happened so quickly...no time to really think. Talk about manipulating an article Enty. It was a knee jerk reaction. He reacted by running away, she turned her back and hid her head like in a fetal position. He was smart...she was dumb.
ReplyDeleteCue the inane and incomprehensible response from Bride in 3 - 2 - 1...
ReplyDelete@Chicky and Jolene - LOL. God I love that movie.
Playing devil's advocate: if he saw the ball headed their way, he could have screamed WATCH OUT, BALL COMING! That may have gotten her attention so she could get out of the way.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the guy wanted his GF to get hit, FWIW.
He's a pussy because any male with a reasonable amount of testosterone in his system tries to catch the ball.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of pathetic guy that ducks when you toss him a beer from across the room.
Agreed. I just asked my boyfriend what his reaction would have been in this situation: "I'd try to catch it."
DeleteBrian - thank you. That's what my friends would have done too. Girly man gets no pass from me

ReplyDeleteResponse at bottom.
ReplyDeleteI can't view it, but I was coming in to say all the same things you guys already covered. If she didn't want to get hit, she could MOVE!
ReplyDeleteMeh, my husband would do the same. There's been once or twice that he's been the one to hit me, even. At least he hurried back to her.
ReplyDeleteI never watch the game. Just go to be social. I eat, sleep, read if I can get away with it, and pray it will all be over soon. I'd never see it coming and get hit in the face.
