Michelle Rodriguez told Cosmopolitan - Latina that she is going to take a break from acting and might never come back. She said that she has been looking forward to a break for 13 years and is more interested in trying things behind the camera. 2013 is a busy year for Michelle, but prior to this year she has only been doing about one thing a year so it is not like she has been swamped. I'm guessing for the past few years she has probably not made enough money from acting to even pay her bills, and is living off what she has previously made from Fast & The Furious checks.
Now, moving on from all of that, she tells the magazine that what she wants most in her life is a guy. Uh huh. She actually said it. She said she wants a tenacious man by her side who is not a metrosexual and because she lives in LA that is all she has found so that is why she has not had a boyfriend in the eight years since she has lived here. Umm yeah.
So....I guess that rules her out as the lesbian who wants to come out on her press tour!

ReplyDeleteI heard about this interview a couple days ago. She said that she is only attracted to "manly men" and they're hard to find in Hollywood, which is why she doesn't have a "partner." It just seemed kind of like she wanted to be more honest, which is why she said she didn't have a partner, rather than a boyfriend.

ReplyDeleteI don't get it. Michelle was arrested for beating up GF once. She once was in a relationship with Kristanna Loken, who openly talked about it. Michelle has been photographed with girlfriends many times. Why can't she be openly lesbian? Everyone knows. It is not a secret. She is not losing jobs by being a lesbian. I understand as middle age approaches, she may want more varied roles than the action movies she is usually in. But she is not suited towards them.

ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that her statements are geared to the audience of the magazine doing the interview. I think it's fairly common knowledge in the non Spanish speaking community that she's gay.
She got outted by Kristanna Loken, and she denied it at the time, but a bunch of other people came out and said yeah she's a lesbian, no question. But because she isn't THAT famous it never got picked up by mainstream news and just kind of faded away (although I'm pretty sure she dumped Loken over it), and I guess now she thinks she can pretend it never happened.
