  7. Coke! I'm with @rcb, cherry coke is even better. Pepsi is too sweet.

mmm iced tea, drinking some now. Selzer water is what I'm trying to replace diet coke with, the phenylalanine/liver/kidney failure studies are freaking me out!!!!

  12. Lacroix water. All the bubbles, none of the mystery brown stuff or fake-sweet carcinogens.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Mostly water but Mexican Coke! No high fructose corn syrup!

  14. Gut rot, both of them. Water or a big mug of tea.

    ReplyDelete
  15. water, sometimes Sprite!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Used to be Diet Coke but topamax makes anything carbonated taste like toilet water must taste like. BLECH.

Iced tea or water, occasionally cranberry juice.

  17. F Scott Fitzgerald was a pepsi fan.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Another cherry coke fan ;)

    ReplyDelete
  19. col Pepsi with a straw

    ReplyDelete
  20. Coke, but I've been cutting it out so more water for me.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That was supposed to say cold .

    ReplyDelete
  22. Diet coke & diet Dr. Pepper. I don't drink coffee so I have 3 cans a day of one or the other. Only in the am.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Coke tastes better but I get Pepsi since they make caffeine free in a 2 liter bottle.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have found as I get older I prefer cheap store brand cola. Probably because it mixes better with booze. Or Throwback Pepsi (no high fructose cor syrup) or Mexican Coke (same deal).

But growing up in Texas we called everything "coke". You'd order a coke and they'd ask you what kind (when I was a kid it was usually Dr. Pepper). When I moved up here the northwest I have noticed that Pepsi seems more common.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I would never snort Pepsi! Coke.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Coke, coke, coke. Love Coke, the original, with real sugar, in an aluminum can or glass bottle, never from plastic. I was getting a fat ass, so I had to cut down to a can or two a week. But I love it, love it, love it.

Pepsi has bought up exclusive rights at a lot of public facilities, particularly airports, and you can't get Coke anywhere there. I hate that. If a server says the establishment carries only Pepsi, I politely ask for a glass of seltzer instead.

    1. Yah ill ask for water, lime and some equal n make my own limonade for free.

  27. Coke. You can take the girl out of Atlanta, but you can't take Atlanta out of the girl.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Water. Sometimes milk!

@Lucas, I have step-family in Texas, and I've noticed that they call all soda "coke". Weird.

    1. I almost never drink soda, but on occasion I'll get a nice cold Pepsi because it gives me the best burps! I'm a classy broad :)

    2. Mountain Dew gives monsterous burps, VIP. Energy drinks too.

  30. I mostly drink water but at the movies, I gotta have a Coke!

    ReplyDelete
  31. used to be coke..I don't do bubbles any longer

    ReplyDelete
  32. Coke. Pepsi is just too sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Other than water, I'm a coca cola, sprite, or ice tea gal!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I call it pop, not soda. Everyone does in Michigan, pretty much. I lived in Illinois for a time, and could not get used to it being called soda. It sounded so strange to me. Coke ftw!

    ReplyDelete

    1. In Ireland sodas are called minerals.

      Delete
    2. Really, mynerva? I have never heard that term. I wonder what the origin is of that one.

      Delete
    3. Yeah it's a strange one alright. I've no idea of the origin.

      Delete
  35. Depends on the rum.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Pepsi Light FTW!

    ReplyDelete
  37. *wrinkling nose* Neither. Can't stand them. I have ADD and one of the things they tried was no artificial flavors/colors. After that I couldn't stand soda. *shrug*

    ReplyDelete
  38. COKE!
Pepsi uses pepsin from, among other sources, aborted fetuses, to test biochemical reactions to its ingredients/tastes.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Coke. I don't know how you can order a rum and coke in a bar that only has Pepsi and them not tell you first.

    I'm talking to you, Canada.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Coke...but I actually like Sprite better.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Coke back when it actually had cocaine in it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bad for ya'. A sip of regular coke from a "real bottle" (not a can) can bring me out of a diabetic low faster than orange juice. From a can, doesn't work. No clue why.

    ReplyDelete
  43. LOL @ Sugar

    Coke

    ReplyDelete
  44. Coke when I indulge!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Rooibos tea with orange or vanilla flavouring, or coffee (decaf) it's still cold here! In summer, store-brand light soda, as long as there's no caffeine in it. Makes me incredibly jumpy.

    ReplyDelete
  46. diet coke only, and a 2 litre bottle a day habit.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anonymous11:01 AM

    Reg. COKE.....Cherry PEPSI

    ReplyDelete
  48. Coke.
And not just because I live in Atlanta...I just honest to God cannot stand the taste of Pepsi.
Of course, my drink of choice is something Coke put out for a limited run in the US (however is apparently quite successful in Europe)...Coke Blak - a mixture of coffee and coke. (and yes, I'm a caffeine hound)
Before you gag, it's really quite good...but at 4$ a bottle in the US, didn't quite make it)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Google Pepsi's partnership with Senomyx (sp?). Very creepy...

    ReplyDelete
  50. Coke, of course, diet coke.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Caffeine-free diet Pepsi.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Diet Coke. In the past, Tab with a slice of lemon.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Jones Green Apple Soda is to die for. The only time I really say soda is when speaking of that awesome brand.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Mexican Coke in the lil bottles

    ReplyDelete
  55. Diet Coke, in a can. but I rarely drink soda.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anonymous11:20 AM

Coke with a dribble of chocolate syrup added. I'd prefer Dr. Pepper, though. And mostly I drink tea.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Coke, all the way! I get so mad when a restaurant only has Pepsi. Coke is so much better

    Besides, you can't snort pepsi

    ReplyDelete
  58. Neither, all sodas, even diet, are poison and should come with warning labels just like cigarettes. I occasionally splurge on real ginger ale, which is not cheap and very hard to find. Really need to learn how to make my own.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. FS, if you find a recipe for real ginger ale, let me know. I once had a Jamaican ginger ale that I'm still thirsting for..

    2. Look up starting your own Ginger bug, FS. You can google it.

Kosher Coke. Or Mexican, but Kosher is tops. How I wish it was always Pesach!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Pepsi, in the morning, and in the middle of the night. I'm hopelessly addicted to Pepsi.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Pepsi - unless I have an upset stomach, then its coke. Cola, that is.

    ReplyDelete
  63. After the coke, I enjoy a Pepsi.

    ReplyDelete
  64. On the odd occasion that I drink pop these days, it's Coke. Pref. Mexican, in a glass bottle. And I will take (and win) the Pepsi challenge ANY DAY.

I will not, under any circumstances, drink diet pop though.

    ReplyDelete
  65. If I must, diet Pepsi, always with a straw. I prefer flavored fizzy water, no sodium, calories, sugar, or caffiene.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Mexican Coke in a bottle.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Diet Coke over Diet Pepsi any day of the week, although I prefer Fresca to either of those, but I don't drink soda anymore unless I'm at a restaurant. I usually drink iced tea or sometimes seltzer/sparkling water with lemon or lime.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Pepsi products. I don't drink much pop anymore, but when I do it's Pepsi products.

I call it POP, too. I live in NC now and I cannot get used to everyone calling pop 'soda' or 'drink'! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  69. Diet Pepsi, caffeine free. Runner-up, Diet Pepsi Lime.

I´d do ANYTHING to try that Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi @MontanaMarriott mentioned, but the options in my country are really limited, Pepsi (or Coke)-wise...

    ReplyDelete
  70. Diet Coke: nectar!

If only Pepsi is available I just have water

    ReplyDelete
  71. I have no preference since I usually only drink cola with rum. Oddly, I have noticed I can drink one non-spiked coke just fine, but if I ever have a Pepsi, I crave another. They must put crack in it.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Not really a soda drinker, but flavored (Cherry or Vanilla) Coke

    ReplyDelete
  73. Coke special treat, Coke Zero the rest of the time

    ReplyDelete
  74. Ski. Fitz's Cream Soda. Diet Dr. Pepper.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Oh, and Reed's Ginger Beer.

But if I have to choose ONLY Coke or Pepsi, I'm going with Coke. Diet versions? I go Pepsi.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Coke Zero, followed very closely by Pepsi Max. I really miss diet Coke with Lemon! Can't get it in Canada anymore... :(

    ReplyDelete
  77. Agent**it, I HAVE a recipe for Jamaican ginger beer, I think! I'll have to go home tonight and check, and post it on the OT site tomorrow if I find it.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I live off Homemade sugar free lemonade or strawberry lemonade all summer long(I use truvia, real lemon juice, crushed ice or frozen strawberries and club soda).I also like the mio type flavors in seltzer water. Even better, taking kool aid powder and mixing it with liquid monk fruit sweetener, then stirring into seltzer water.

I very rarely drink real soda anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Coke, Classic or Diet. Pepsi is way too sweet. In the summertime, Cherry Limeade soda from Walmart is like crack. I buy a dozen 2-liter bottles at a time.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Diet Coke all day long. Totally addicted.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Diet Coke all day long. Totally addicted.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Green tea. Can't do diet soda any more. Addiction, indeed.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Used to be Cherry Coke, now just coffee and sometimes green tea.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Water, coffee or tea. Never any of this gut rot. I can't believe humans would drink that, or sell it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Mexican coke....a case...that you buy from the delivery guy outside a condo in Puerto Vallarta...

    ReplyDelete
  86. Agent It, Rexruther,

I have recipes for home made ginger ale, but I guess I can't figure out how they are measuring the ginger (by weight? by shredding and packing into a measuring cup?)Nothing I've made so far tasted right. I'll probably get back into this summer and give it a try. If I ever get it right I want to mix it with green tea, that Green Tea Ginger Ale was the last soda I drank and it was delicious (probably because of all the sugar). :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Cherry cokehead here ;)

    ReplyDelete
  88. If it has to be one or the other, Coke--Pepsi is way too sweet for me, although I do admit to liking Dr. Pepper. Most of the time, though, I stick with ginger ale when I'm out somewhere (it's my go-to drink instead of booze in bars); at home I make iced tea the way I like it (which is NOT the way they make it down south--sweet tea is way too damn sweet for me!). I steep 7-8 tea bags in a 2-quart pot of boiling water for about 5 minutes, add equal parts sugar & lemon juice (1/2 cup each), let it cool, and then funnel it into a clean plastic gallon jug, filling up the jug w/cold water. Aaaaaahhh... :-)

    ReplyDelete
  89. Coke If they only serve Pepsi I go with Ice Tea I can't function in the morning until I have a can of Coke

    ReplyDelete
  90. Coke Zero. I used to be a Pepper though. Everybody should be a Pepper too. And an American Werewolf in London. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Pepsi throwback foh shure! So much sugar that it makes my teeth hurt, nummy!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Cheebuguh.

    Thank you John Belushi.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Pepsi, especially when Hung over.

  95. Never driver soda anymore but when I did it wad diet Pepsi. I loved Cheerwine when I was growing up I'm NC (you should be able to find that there Reeses) but the last time I went home I got one after bragging to the Opster about how great it was. It was so bloody sweet I tossed it.

Now I prefer iced tea with honey and for fizzy, club soda with a squeeze of Meyer lemon.

    ReplyDelete
  96. if ever -coke.

    ** prefer agua

    ReplyDelete
  97. Pepsi Max. I drink crazy amounts of the stuff - it's my coke.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Pepsi as I boycott Coca-Cola.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I try my best to avoid soft drinks, but always Coke (Diet/Zero) b/c I think Pepsi is disgusting.
